Been bringing my doodle in for a couple of years and am very happy with the staff and service. Very consistent, on time and efficient, my dog looks great and is happy and clean. Highly recommend. read more

I was really hopeful and at first everything was great. However, I've noticed that the availability of services has decreased overtime and having a shit too. It's a big deal to me to make sure that he is groomed properly. Also, the last couple of times I took him things appeared not done very well. I would not suggest this place I have unsubscribe to it. read more

Scenthound South Charlotte - Teddys fresh again!! He loves his weekly baths they take great care of teddy!! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Took my handsome Yorkie in for a bath and nail grind along with a trim of the hair around his eyes and he came back shaved from head to toe. He looks horrible! But hey, the idea they had of making it right was to not charge me for the horror. If I could do a negative star review it still wouldn't be enough. Run from this place and run fast. (They had another yorkie there today who they say actually asked for this and got them confused? Are you kidding me?) read more

We took our Yorkshire Terrier in for a bath and a trim on his eyes. What we got back was a tight shorn cut. With less than 1/4 of fur all around and a facial butchering that removed any sight of the Yorkie we love. My wife is shaking in anger and the owner of the place feebly tried to make it better by assuring me that they weren't going to charge me for the service and offered me a free addon with my next service. This business is a mess and if this is a franchise, corporate should revoke their operating rights. Between botched scheduling, grooming cancelations after their groomer quit, constant telemarketing calls and now this, I could not recommend this place any less. Bottom line, if you consider your pets as part of the family, stay far, far away from this grossly mismanage and incompetent practice. Even if you don't, still stay away. All animals deserve some decency. read more

Scenthound South Charlotte - Hancock and Zeena - Pet Groomers Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Uneven and unattractive haircut of a toy small dog. Poor job overall bathing and grooming. Nice manager.

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. After several attempts of trying to get in touch with someone about the fraudulent charges made to my card, they issued the return to the WRONG CARD and have refused to refund me because of their mistake. I've called multiple times and spoke to the owner only for him to tell me there is nothing they can due to issue my refund since THEY ISSUED THE REFUND TO THE WRONG CARD AFTER FRAUDULENTLY CHARGING MINE. The owner has refused to follow up with me or to come to a resolution for the charges made to my card. Being that this is the SECOND time they have charged my card unauthorized, being careless and absolutely rude, I will be escalating this matter. Its obvious they have absolutely no structure in any of the services they provide and do not care to charge your card without permission (see previous review pasted below). I have never been so appalled by the carelessness of such an unprofessional and irresponsible company. This company is truly not worth getting your dog horribly groomed and also getting your money stolen to top it off. PREVIOUS REVIEW: My Fiancé brought our dogs here once or twice before to get groomed, the "deshedding" service they provided was horribly done , they said they would fix it but yet never did. They shaved my yorkie completely bald(unevenly at that), when I simply asked for a trim. Their reasoning was they couldn't get him to "STAY STILL" . To make matters worse on TWO separate occasions I had to call to speak to someone about UNAUTHORIZED Card charges made to my bank account (NOTE :it wasn't my membership, I just made a one time payment for the person who owned the membership) because they took it upon themselves to make a one time payment method, a primary one WITHOUT MY CONSENT ; when I already spoke to someone to remove it .Today i spoke to MATTHEW and he was extremely rude over the phone and also hung up on me before I was done speaking . I expected more professionalism from a Dog Spa like this based off the thriving reviews and location. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I have not yet received a refund for these unauthorized charges even after calling and letting them know ! read more

It's alway tough, finding a groomer, especially around the holidays. When I booked with scent hounds at the very top of the year I put in an inquiry, and within 15 minutes received a call they had openings for the next day that alone is unheard of with ANY grooming service. immediately I thought what's wrong with these guys the answer is in my opinion NOTHING!! I'm not sure if it's because they are new to me but I'm suprised that the reviews suck the dogs all look better than before they went in but I was able to get Huddy booked within the same week. The price was unbeatable. They had a special for a bath and teeth cleaning nails and more and when I added a full cut with some extras for my spoiled boy I was still paying less than 80 bucks including the tip which is less than any of the other groomers I've tried in the area. Of course this made me nervous because I want quality as well but to my surprise they transformed my dog and he looks amazing. He still smells so good and we are halfway through the month. 100% would recommend if you are one of those people who is very particular about the cut that you want for your dog, then make sure that you take the time to express what exactly you want. They will do their best to keep your vision in mind. In my case, my dog needed this groom badly here are the before and after pics of my pup. Overall, I thought the price was perfect. He felt amazing still smells and looks amazing and even started feeling himself and strutting like a pony after the groom lol I say give them a shot. The staff is nothing short of polite and professional. I was in and out. My dogs appointment started on time and ended on time. I will definitely be returning. read more

I brought my mini poodle here for a typical grooming- 1st time trying this salon. I told them to give him the same cut- which is a teddy bear cut. When I picked him up receptionist was trying to upswell me on their monthly club -before they even brought my dog out to me! I had no idea the quality of work they did, etc.. I refused the club and was told my charge was $99.99 for this one- time visit! I usually pay 1/2 the amount for the same everything!! Total rip off. read more

This place is fine for a bath but do NOT have your wire hair terrier trimmed. My dog was shaved down completely and her wire coat may never grow back, just the under coat. I thought the groomers understood but the have 5 set cuts and if your dog needs different cuts on different parts of the body do not bring them here. read more

I hesitate to give this ripoff joint even one star. They present you with a "membership" cost for "discounted" rates which actually means your card get charged every month whether or not your dog is groomed. Even with the "discount" the cost is more than advertised. My dog was cut so short that I doubt he will be grown out in a month - worst groom he ever had but for them - easy - just wash and shave. read more

To my dog here to be bathed and defurrr-minate and came out worse then when went it. Came home and days later the fur was just surfacing then ever before. I've take my dog elsewhere and they have done a pretty good job. They use like a vacuum to remove excess hair but this place obviously doesn't use a vacuum or just didn't do a good job :( Though front desk ladies were very nice. read more

Rather than reasonably address a mistake that was made by a staff member, the owner escalated the issue by calling the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. His words of feeling threatened and Black man are nothing short of reckless and dangerous given how such incidents could have quickly turned badly. A bad review does not constitute a threat. It is warranted and within a customer's rights to report when a business delivers poor service and fails to communicate properly. read more

Just came from a second service for my dog with this groomer and it was fine. What wasn't fine is that they kept my payment information from the last visit WITHOUT my permission. I will be asking them to remove this information from their records first thing tommorow. read more

Took our golden doodle Iroh to Scenthound for the first time last month and was very impressed with the quality and sweetness of the staff. Also, he's a big pupper that's been needing some attention after a rough year. Once I picked him up he played for nearly the whole day when he got home, he was definitely feeling SO much better. They did amazing! I love the trim they did and would highly recommend going to them! Can't wait for our next trip in a few days and I know he'll have lots of energy afterwards. read more

I've been coming to Scenthound Charlotte in Blakeney for some time and recently their service has declined. It used to be that I could pick up our dogs within half an hour of their appointment time, but they've turned into the Walmart of dog grooming at this point. Rather than reschedule appointments when groomers/techs call out they simply try to cram all of the appointments in to continue getting that almighty dollar, despite them being understaffed. I've had to wait over an hour after an appointment time due to their poor management (note my dogs are shorthair and don't require anything but a wash and nail cleaning). I'm really disappointed in this company and location and won't be recommending it to friends any longer. read more

Despite the other reviews, we've had pretty good experience so far. I appreciate the membership because although we don't need grooming every month, we certainly need the bath at least once a month! The customer service is great and the groomer is fantastic! Lisa has worked on our Jameson twice now and both times, she's shown her passion and compassion. We will check calls and texts to remind us on appts and also to follow up on making the next appts so we don't lose our "already paid for" service! So far, so good! read more
