Lives up to its name! Parking is decent if you get there before 10am. After that the place fills up. It is a bit small and cramped but lovely windows, bar and atmosphere! Our waitress Amanda was amazing! I recommend the Crab Cake Benedict!

Scenic View is worth the drive for Sunday brunch, but don't go when it's hot out because the AC doesn't work. Generally the food is excellent, albeit a bit slow to arrive. Service is often mediocre, you might get lucky and get a waitress that is friendly, but there's only a few of them. The restaurant inside is outdated and horribly laid out, but the patio is nice and updated. Go for the view, stay for the food, accept the inadequacies.

Sick and tired of the lazy hippie landlubbers at Runcible Slit Your Wrists Spoon, we decided to find a real breakfast joint. What we found was nothing short of spectacular - the Scenic View Lodge overlooking Lake Monroe. Unexpectedly good service. High quality ingredients. And a beautiful view. Brunch entrées range from $7-$10.50. And with the NON-hippie-I-live-in-a-filthy-shitterhole-and- bring-my-lazy-habits-to-work waitstaff, Scenic View is a refreshing alternative to Runcible and well worth it.

Went there for dinner and it was a really unpleasant experience! Service was slow and bad! I waited for 10 mins after I got there to be asked for a drink, I ordered a caipirinha, and it wasn't nothing but liquor on it, no limes, no sugar, nothing but alcohol. I expressed my discontent with the drink but they didn't offer any solution Food was on time but nothing really worth the drive! In general if you are going just for the view, then is a good option, just get a drink and order some fries to spend the afternoon there!

    The view from the restaurant.

I love this place. It is a bit on the small side, but the view of Lake Monroe is nice. I haven't been here in summer yet, but it appears to have a lot of outdoor seating as well. The food is great. Try the crab cake eggs Benedict! The drink menu is vast. This is a great place off of the beaten path.

Great view. Don't expect much from the food. Three out of the four people didn't really like their dinner.

It was an interesting addition to the sandwich because it made the sandwich a little more sour. I added a little hot honey to help counter some of the sourness. The Hive bun was very fresh. It had great texture- crunchy edges but spongy middle. The burgers looked good but appeared very small. I was a little surprised by the portion size considering the cost. It was very expensive for such a small burger that did not come with sides & drink. I liked the big plastic cups for water. It had a bunch of advertisements on the cup, but thought it was great sizewise for water. Usually we get a small plastic flimsy cup for water at other restaurants, so it was a nice surprise. The staff was friendly and served our order relatively quickly. Patrons came in waves. The outside is deceiving because the sign isn't flashy and looks relatively small. But, once you walk in, it appears a lot more spacious than from the outside. Plenty of seating for big/small groups.

Stepping inside is like going back to the 90s or early 00s with the funky art and style of furniture. I've done takeout a few times and dined in once. I made the mistake of ordering takeout once on a game night when they were slammed and a little behind, but the staff was very friendly even though it was a little chaotic in there. Under regular conditions, my order was ready on time, and the service was great when we dined in. The menu has lots of choice under the banners of pasta, pizza and calzones, chicken dinners, sandwiches, and dessert. They also have a pretty decent selection of beer (draft and bottles) and wine. Almost all of the menu can be made without gluten (but gluten is used in their kitchen so they don't guarantee 100% gluten-free), and there's also some pretty good vegan options. It's mostly classic stuff, but there are some slightly adventurous pizzas. I really enjoyed all of the food that I've tried. Their pizza and American-style thin crust which usually isn't my preference, but there's a freshness and subtle sweetness to the dough that I like. The Bama Jam pizza was really good with the sweet-savoury onion jam combined with the distinct taste of the gorgonzola and rosemary, although it was so heavy on the sweet that I kind of felt like I'd eaten both dinner and dessert. I think the Queen of Hearts calzone was my favourite out of everything - the crust was great, the artichokes and olives in the filling were abundant as was the cheese. The spinach ravioli came in a tomato sauce that, while not heavily seasoned, tasted juicy and fresh. Dessert is not to be skipped. I've tried most of the desserts at this point. The tiramisu and carrot cake are my most recommended, but all are good. The carrot cake had lots of nuts and carrot pieces inside and a tangy cream cheese frosting. The cheesecake is very rich and creamy. The optional strawberry sauce was delicious - it was so bright red that at first I thought it was just a flavoured syrup, but it tasted like real fresh strawberry puree. Honestly I liked the sauce more than the cheesecake. All desserts are big enough to share.

The food was great too. I had been wanting to eat a calzone for a while, and I was happy I chose Bucceto's! I got the build your own calzone, with jack cheese, bacon, and pepperoni. For dessert, I got their special of the day, bourbon cheesecake. I loved it and wish I could have it again!

Another liked her muffaletta, but wished she'd ordered more than a cold sandwich - as tall and as full as it was. My partner and I shared the meatball grinder appetizer. Best meatball I've ever had. There were three meatballs (each one looked as big as a tennis ball!) with little garlic crostinis circling them on the plate. We each ate one and took the other home, which he happily ate the next day. Delicious! Our hostess/server Lanie was the hardest working server I've ever seen, and always with a smile that carried to her voice and eyes. Although we went there to check out mosaic supplies in an art store, I'd easily go back here just for the food! Inside, the restaurant was Diner-noisy. Outside in the pavilion, it was very pleasant.

We went on Valentine's Day and there was probably 1 server for each table, so they added to the noise as well. And the esthetics of the dining area left a lot to be desired with what should be behind a wall is instead in the dining area and not covered. So onto the food. While good, $19+ for a sandwich and kettle chips is pretty steep no matter how you cut it. Speaking of cutting it, I ordered the Spicy Arriabiata which was slic3d so awkwardly it was almost impossible to eat as a sandwich. Instead of being cute, try slicing it in half so it can be eaten next time. Overall the food was actually good, service was good and properly attentive. Will I go back? Probably not. Kind of feels like a been there, done that type of experience. Dinner for 2 with a cocktail and wine and 2 sandwiches cost $85. Probably cancel spend that elsewhere and get a better dinner.
