The team did a great job on the backyard, there was flower beds, thorn bushes and evergreens that I wanted to remove ontop of 2 stumps that got treated to prevent new growth, once all the plants got removed finished out the job by leveling out the backyard. My backyard now is night and day diffrent for the better. Definitely would recommend! read more

Scenic Green just completed a total revamping of my flower garden across the front of my house. They added plants and moved many existing plants. The layout is so much better now and looks beautiful. They also trimmed bushes and took down some low hanging tree limbs. Brian kept me informed on when the project would start, and progress made. I cannot wait till Spring to see everything blooming. My service request was to grade and lay grass seed in my back yard that I had recently laid fresh top soil on. The area is about 1900 square feet. The original charge was $876. Three workers showed up at 11:55am. One walked around and observed the area while the other two stood around for about 10 minutes. Two of them raked the top soil, threw down seed and fertilizer(by hand) in clumps while the 3rd stood around and watched with a rake in his hand. My wife was home at the time and observed the whole thing. They were gone by 1:00pm. I called the owner for watering instructions. I followed them to a tee. I have attached pictures of the results. I got about 70% coverage of the yard with actual grass, 20% weeds, and the rest bare spots where you can visually see there was no seed. Value for service provided = low. I contacted the owner in regards to the price versus the services received and he agreed to lower it to $547. I won't be a return customer or recommend the company. read more

From the first meeting to assess the work to be done to the end of the project, Brian was very professional and very meticulous. Various types of natural mulch and landscaping rocks were to be placed around the house, which meant clearing out existing flower beds, debris, weeds, etc. around the home. He had a crew with him that were very polite and did a great job. I had a minor follow-up concern and Brian immediately came out and made sure everything was exactly to my liking. I have worked with several contractors over the past few years for various home projects. Brian, by far, has been the most reliable, efficient and professional contractor I've hired, and by far gave me the best end product. 100% recommend! read more

I read the reviews on Hoosier Lawn Pride and saw a couple of negative reviews. However, I like to…read moreform my own opinion about people or their business to determine if there is any truth to perceptions others arrived at for Hoosier Lawn Pride. Based on my own personal experience with Hoosier Lawn Pride, I would not recommend them at all for these simple facts and believe the other negative reviews have some merit: 1.) Hoosier Lawn pride never provided an estimate as they indicated they would. 2.) Their mastery with being dishonest is unsettling. I asked the owner Patrick Morris of Hoosier Pride if he or his business has a 3B - Turf management license from Purdue and told me "Yes". When in fact he (Patrick Morris) does not and has never received this license. The actual license status for Hoosier Lawn Pride or it's agent(s) was provided and confirmed by an uninterested third party at the time this review. The lack of a license explains why he sub-contracts out traditional lawn services like applying fertilizer, which was different from the explanation he provided in a meeting on the topic. If this license information is incorrect then please list and provide your 3B - Turf Management license number, license issuance date, license expiration date, and or 3B - Turf Management certification number. 3.) Hoosier Lawn Pride sub-contracts a large percentage of their business to another company, which was not disclosed to me until the meeting. I do not believe in middle man operations and usually they do not favor the consumer in the event of an issue or seeking relief for an issue due to convoluted nature of the arrangement. Had this been disclosed or outlined on any listing that states his services offered. I would have never contacted him for an estimate. In closing, do your own research on Hoosier Lawn Pride, it's affiliates, agents, and or it's sub contractors to see if they are a good fit for your lawn prior to hiring them. I am glad that I did and wish that I did more research prior to arranging a meeting for a free estimate. However, you can only make an informed decision based on what is disclosed or what reviews are posted. In closing, based on my research, the other negative reviews for Hoosier Lawn Pride, failure to disclose information, and his (Patrick Morris) dishonesty it's a easy decision for me to avoid Hoosier Lawn Pride even without receiving an estimate.

I have been searching a long time to find a good one, because at my age I am limited on my ability to perform yard work. Well, sadly my search continues. I hired them to trim 12 burning bushes at a cost of $350. Their performance was not what I expected. I assumed they would do a great job based on the wonderful photos shown at their website and the glowing reviews left by other Yelpers. I was left stunned and disappointed when I saw the mess they left me. They did not use a tarp to collect the clippings as shown at their website. And to top it off they used a leaf blower to clear the clippings along with the new mulch I just paid $1,400 to have delivered and placed. Additionally, the bush clippings and mulch were blown all over my front yard. I addressed my disappointment to them and their response was "sorry" and they reduced the price charged to $300. I take great pride in the beauty of my landscaping. I just need a company that feels the same and takes great care to keep it that way. As the saying goes "fool me once", but there definitely won't be a twice with this company. Yelp may want to reconsider their "guarantee" for this company. My advice to others is if you consider hiring this company, then you must accept the risk you might be left with substandard results and a mess to clean up yourself.
