When getting ready to redo our driveway changing it from blacktop to concrete, we asked neighbors on our street for recommendations. Their driveways were more than 10 years old and they still look great. They gave us Tony's phone number and we are grateful they did. From the first visit we felt Tony would do an excellent job for us. We had an unlevel, cracked, ugly asphalt driveway and a one-step stoop that was so high, it was scary to step down from. The melted snow ran from the driveway into our garage...that is how much higher our old blacktop driveway was. Tony envisioned a stoop with two steps for safety and esthetics and proposed the idea to us. Obviously, we loved it. Tony was there answering every question, helping us choose materials and always replied to us within 12 hours, which we found completely acceptable. So we signed up! Then the work started and we were equally impressed with John who did all the supervision of their concrete team. We loved to see John working along side the crew, riding the machinery and the pleasant way he treated their workers. Scaravalle was careful not to pour concrete on days that were too hot for proper curing. The pricing was not cheap, but it was FAIR. We received exactly what we wanted, feel we received a quality job and could not be happier with the outcome! We trust our driveway will look as nice as the neighbor's 10 years down the road. Recommendations, whether they be from a neighbor or from a satisfied customer, are important and I would never leave a positive review if I didn't have a positive experience. Our experience with Scaravalle was 5 star! I am attaching some photos (please excuse the water hose on the stoop!) so you can see why we are happy with Tony, John and the Scaravalle crew.

    Failed city inspection

Run away from this "SCARYVILLIAN" company. - LACK of professionalism. - LACK of communication. - LACK of quality of work. - LACK of respect for you, the customer. - LACK of follow up to complete the job. - LACK of any knowledge on how to obtain AND PASS city inspections. I can't believe tis company is still in businness. My job started in 2020 and still is not complete. All these bad reviews here are true.

Beautifully expanded driveway and new walkway and steps from Scaravalle Construction. Couldn't be happier.

Tony was great for our landscaping and concrete work. Particularly love the stamped concrete patio they did for us.

They'll tell you every excuse in the book, saying the patio has too much shade, poor drainage, etc. But the fact is, it was sealed and fine until they came, resealed/sanded it and then it was a disaster. Now I have to get it redone properly again. What a waste of money that was. Do not listen to the excuses they provide. They will reply here and it's 100% a lie. They would not come and redo it for me. So I will never recommend this place to anyone. Poor craftsmanship on their part. And they would not resolve it, so not a trustworthy business. Come with the excuses. Adios. https://youtu.be/e7CbCTkfPxE - view of the shoddy craftsmanship applied to my entire patio. The whole thing looks like this now and did after 6 mo of them redoing the patio. Before this, I never had problems to this degree, period. Nothing even close to this state. My entire patio has sun hitting it, there's no excuses here. There's guards along the edge to keep plants from penetrating it, always has been. They'll throw every excuse at the book while other contractors will just make it right, even if they have to redo such a poor job that did not hold up even for a year.

I felt like the salesman who came out…read morerecommended a significant amount of work that was unnecessary, and the repair they ultimately offered was extremely overpriced in my opinion. The price they quoted me was around $3,000, and I've included some pictures below. What concerns me most is the lack of trust I now have in their recommendations. I previously hired this company to do tuckpointing work for me. About three years later, I contacted them about touching up a few areas, and I was told the work was already in bad shape. When I reminded them that they were the ones who had performed the original work, the response was essentially, "Oh, we can just repair these couple of bricks. It's not a big deal." After that experience, and now being presented with what I believe is an unnecessarily expensive repair, I simply don't feel comfortable doing business with this company anymore. When you hire a company and spend good money on their work, you expect fair pricing, honest recommendations, and quality workmanship. Unfortunately, that's not the experience I had.

From quote to start was more than a year (due to other constraints), and once started the project took several weeks with a lot of scheduling nuances and coordination with other things. Eric and his team did a fantastic job throughout. The crew was friendly and respectful and their work was and is impeccable. Eric was over-the-top communicative both before, during, and after the project. All little issues were resolved immediately, often going above and beyond. We were particularly impressed with how well Eric and his team worked with the older brick, which requires special care and mortar. Even *matching* old brick is quite hard because the size is different from modern brick and there aren't many companies which make it, meaning color options are quite limited. Eric did a fantastic job and I think most people would struggle to pick out the new from the old. Highly recommend for any masonry work.

Asked if they could do a weekend appointment, no. Asked if they could just come and look at the roof without us having to be home, no. According to their policy, they can't provide a quote without meeting you and they don't have extended hours (their business hours are 9-5 which are the same as mine). What can a face to face meeting accomplish that a phone call and/or email can't in this situation? With so many companies doing similar work in the area, I don't understand the lack of flexibility here. Update: they called today and said someone did come by yesterday to take measurements, but at a different time than the scheduled time, and they will provide a proposal in a few days. While the communication could have been better, I appreciate their efforts to work with me.
