I needed big help with my Eugene home I had just purchased…read more There was no place to put my dishwasher without restructuring the kitchen. The bathroom had the most awful, early 80's, peach colored shower enclosure, I could not live with - and the counter was much too short. The backyard had a large lawn and a small deck - it was crying out for a more useful space for entertaining. My street generates a lot of traffic noise and I needed something to help reduce it. I also wanted an attractive trash/recycling bin deck, close to the street, for convenience. I looked for reviews and Emerald Valley Home Repair popped up. I like licenses and BBB ratings - Ted has them. He was professional in his walk through and intelligent, creative and confident with his advice and ideas - that he quickly put me to ease with his clear rapport I chose Ted Colee. My new larger kitchen space includes my necessary dishwasher and a couple new cabinets and sparkles with quartz counter tops throughout. He also replaced the lighting. The bathroom shower panels were removed and replaced with new bright white tiles. The deck steps down to a circular stone patio that allows for more entertaining and several large potted plants. I worked with Ted on ideas for the front driveway and we came up with a spectacular walled in - shingled and planter deck. It looks fantastic and provides more privacy in my front yard and most importantly, has reduced the road noise. The shingled trash/recycling/green-waste bin deck has a drop down ramp gate: So convenient! This was a series of jobs that effectively have turned this house into my home. Knowledge, skill, dependability, trust and respect are all vital in building that working relationship and creativity and flexibility complete the package. Bonuses are his abundant experience - Ted even knows plants. I have worked with Ted since and highly recommend him!!

Wholeheartedly and without reservation my husband and I highly recommend Anthony Carlisle and his…read moreGBZ Construction crew. Over the course of 3 years they periodically worked on large projects for our home. Anthony and his crew became like trusted family members; they earned our trust by their conduct, work ethic and direct communication. Anthony's first priority is to provide the best "product" possible to his customers. We have been very happy with all the projects he has done: * Built a 120 ft beautiful block retaining wall with a metal railing that will probably last longer than our house * Tore out our lower deck and built a larger trek deck in its place, installed a metal railing, rebuilt the stair on the other side of the deck and reinstalled our hot tub! * Built a 20' x 18' attached, permitted shop * Turned an ugly storage room into a beautiful office * Built railroad tie stairway with a landing on both sides of our house and placed 10 huge rocks just where I wanted them. Put down landscape fabric and mulch. I appreciate that Anthony critically thinks through the projects, researches new products or construction solutions, and talks to vendors to obtain detailed information. He communicates well with city and county people and clients. Anthony and his crew are creative, and at times, artistic in their work. We loved our home before we found Anthony. We love it more now because the GBZ Construction crew did such a fine job creating lovely spaces for us to enjoy.

If I could give negative stars I would. My wife chose Budget Builders because of the awesome…read morereviews she found about them. We needed a bid to continue with a home purchase. The rehab loan depended on it in order to proceed. We met Roman at the property, told him what we wanted and what we had to work with. The guy did not seem interested in being there at all to me. I ended up walking away and letting my wife talk. At the end, he said we'd have a bid from him in a week. That week came and went... NOTHING..... I called. He said he'd get his notes to me by the end of the day to make sure we were on the same page. No surprise, I didn't get that Email as promised. Days later, I get his notes. We confirm, YES this is what we want to do. We didn't hear back from him until a month later when we got an Email stating they aren't taking any new jobs. All I have to say is it's a damned good thing we gave up on contractors to get back to us and went with a conventional loan instead of the 203k we started with. What the hell is wrong with contractors in this area?? Nobody seems like they want to work. They all say they'll get back to you but it's crickets from there.

I've been thru many restaurants where people glorify them as the "GREATEST PLACE EVER!!" as merely.. meh. So you are not going to impress me, easily.. So let me get to the point on this Roman guy and his company and people. Bottomline, if are in Eugene / Springfield, and you don't use him for your remodeling project, then you are S-T-U-P-I-D!! Budget builders the company is IMPRERSSIVE! here is why: 1) make their promises in writing. 2) They KEEP the promises they made. 3) Starts worl ON TIME 4) Finish work within the time frame promised. 5) finish work within the price quoted. Yeah, pretty simple aye?? Its funny that something this simple and yet most contractors cannot perform with the parameter. Budget Builders did a FANTASTIC job for the Bathroom tile and tub remodeling. All the while I was out of town in Southern California. They utilize technologies and provided me with updated progress pictures on the contruction in progress. They utilize technology and just provide a GREAT expreience. I am sold on them and will use them for all my future kitchen remodeling. Thier price is the lowest quoted and the workmanship is EXCELLENT! Like I said.. if you don't use them... then feel free to burn your money. I hope this helps, bee
