We purchased tile for three rooms in our new home from Imperial Floors, and had them perform the…read moreinstallation. The tile purchase experience was fine, and the staff very helpful. However, the company did not stand behind their installation work. Water from one of our showers would routinely leak out of the shower and on to the surrounding tile floor. Not being contractors, we assumed the issue had to do with the shower doors. We had our contractor out to review the situation, and discovered that when the tile was installed, the installer did not prepare the underlying surface correctly, and there was a high area in the middle of the shower that directed water to the outside of the shower, rather than to the drain. Imperial Floors refused to even look at the issue, stating we were outside of the warranty period. Clearly, this was an installation issue as was confirmed by our contractor. Our contractor was forced to remove the shower tile floor, and the underlying high spot, and have a different tile installer complete the installation. If Imperial Floors would have come to look at the issue it would have been clear, however the owner of Imperial Floors refused. This represents a complete lack of customer care. We would not use Imperial Floors again.

After another week, they still had not reached out. Talked to the manager who said the installer would be in contact either same day or next day. 1 week later, the installer contacted me to make an appointment 6 days out. The installer was prompt and communicative. He said I would have a bid early the following week. After 1-1/2 more weeks, I called the store and asked for the manager who I was told was out. The service could not be worse. You are left hanging on next steps. At this point, they can keep my $50, and I am going elsewhere. Horrible customer service!
