We hired Ryan from That 1 Painter because he seemed like an honest, trustworthy person…read more Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite of what is promised on their website and what their many five-star reviews on Google would lead you to believe. From the very start, the process was unprofessional. The first crew that arrived was clearly rushed and unprepared. They did no prep work to protect our home. Paint was left on our carpet, floors, and other areas, which we now have to have professionally cleaned or possibly replaced in our brand new home. They worked until after 7 p.m. despite the contract stating they would not go later than 5:30 p.m. Their work was sloppy and careless. We contacted Ryan about these issues, and he apologized and said he would send a new crew. The second crew did a much better job in terms of quality, but when they arrived, they were under the impression the job was only two rooms. When they found out it was a full repaint of the house, they told us directly they would not continue unless they were paid a deposit by Ryan. They were ready to pack up and leave because they had not been paid by him. This left us in the middle of a dispute between Ryan and the painters he hired. We had to stand in our own home and listen to his subcontractors explain how they had not been paid. Ryan made repeated promises to show up, rearrange his calendar, and "be there all day" to resolve the issues, yet he barely stopped by, showed up hours late, and often left quickly. At one point, he claimed he had to speak to his "boss" before proceeding, which was odd since he presents himself as the owner. While Ryan claims he gave us "extras" and a "discount," the only thing we received was the option to pick an additional paint color. He also failed to cover or prep properly, creating avoidable damage. In our view, the freebies he mentioned were just excuses to deflect from the actual problems. The experience has been stressful and exhausting, far from the professional, worry-free service advertised. The fact that so many reviews for this company are five stars feels questionable after what we experienced. I would strongly caution anyone considering hiring this company. We received the complete opposite of what was promised.

This was for a $350 job. I ended up writing a personal check just to get them to proceed. The job was supposed to include fixing a leak and removing a slop sink, then capping/shutting off the line until we replaced it. They did fix the leak, but they left the slop sink in place with the faucet still leaking, so the work was only partially completed, and they still insisted on upfront payment. To make things worse, the person on the phone was extremely rude and told me I "should have mentioned" that they'd have to wait for payment. Isn't that something the company should clarify in advance? Overall, a very unprofessional experience.

I noticed on the first day my hardwood floors were being installed Brandon was just as meticulous as I was and he noticed ever fine detail and made sure it was perfect. Brandon's goal was to make us happy. He Is a very respectable man I felt comfortable having in my home. I had estimates with a couple other companies who tried to nickel and dime me or over charge my installation square footage just to make more money. Also I had a company ask me why in the world I would put hardwood floors in my home and not engineered floors. Brandon had no issues installing hardwood floors and gave us a VERY reasonable estimate and the charge was the charge no last minute up charges. Also every spec of Debris was cleaned up at the end of each day leaving no mess for me at all. Garbage was not even left at my residence Brandon hauled it all away. It is a pleasure for me to write a review for Cosenza Carpentry an I would recommend this company to everyone I know and will definitely be using Brandon in the future. I love my floors, Thank you for all your hard work!!!
