We live in Colorado and, for the last 5/6 years, we always stop here when we're in the area for a surfing vacation. Everything is delicious here. My husband loves the doughnuts, and we both love their breakfast sandwiches (no 5 w/o the cheese) and their fresh coffee. Their very friendly too. I always take my kids here during happy hour on Friday afternoons!! Sometimes the donuts are almost completely gone, but that's understandable, and we are more than happy to settle with a few boba drinks and whatever they have left! Best Old Fashioned donuts I've ever had! Plus, they have delicious hot coffee, with a myriad of Coffee-Mate flavors to add. So much better than your typical "cream and sugar" coffee set-up. This review is for the boba drinks. At first when they started making and serving boba, it was good sometimes but not always, but now they've got it down and it's consistently good! I am happy that there's finally a good boba place in San Clemente, and I'm a boba snob. The boba consistency is good and is sweet and their drinks are yummy. My favorite is the milk tea with boba. We love this place. Donuts are always fantastic. Like others said they are huge and fluffy. Owners are really nice and coffee is good and cheap. Anytime we are craving weekend donuts, we go here first. Only downside, they are closed on Sundays! (WHAT?!?!) Bummer! Also, I know in the past they have been closed for the Christmas/New Year's WEEK. I can understand that the family wants their time off too, but it is such a bummer for us customers. Wish they could be open every day, maybe that is why they are so good. Maybe because they are made by people who really do love their job! If you could figure out a way to be open on Sundays and the holiday week, I would be even happier! Also, a previous poster said that they take cash only. I don't think that is true. Extremely rude owner! I had a question about what I ordered vs. what I actually received and she not only did she stop working with her customer to tell me that I was wrong...not once but three times ending in calling me stupid and telling me to not come back. The whole time her husband tried really hard to stop her from making a fool out of herself in front of all their customers but without success. Very crappy service and trust that I will never come back. Food & drink ordered wasn't very good either. Never stoop to someone's level who is acting so unprofessional. Very sad. read more

Worst customer service ever. I have had a few very strange encounters and now will never go there again. One time I asked for a few extra napkins and they refused. Today I asked for two large pastries and wanted them in separate bags. They were for two separate people. The owner tried to stuff them into bags that were too small. I told him I needed a little bigger bag, which he initially had used to put one of the cinnamon rolls in. He pulled it out of that bag and put it in a bag that was too small. I needed to drive with these in my car and did not want them getting glaze or frosting on my seat. I started to walk out and then asked if I could just have them in two bags. The owner then threatened to call the police. I asked for what, because I wanted two bags? I'm sure it provided some comic relief to the guy watching us. read more

I purchased a cup of coffee, after filling the cup halfway the coffee container ran out. I asked the person working behind the counter and they told me to just mix it with one of the others. I'm not a coffee snob by any means, but really, that is the best you can do after I just paid for the coffee. Pretty disappointed. read more

I've been here twice with my little boy for a treat. The first time, I got the sense that the people who work here (maybe the owner/family) were not friendly. Our entrance was met only with a neutral look as if they were merely waiting for us to place our order and to get out as quickly as possible. I thought maybe it was an off day. Gave them another chance. But today I was met by the same apathetic gaze, and not so much as a "thank you" for our patronage.
