Kenny the Man!

We have been coming to Donut Hut for years, Kenny and the crew are the absolute best! They care about the people, know everyone's name and always make you feel at home. We love this place and my sons are treated like family every time we come in. To us it's not just about the great donuts but the amazing friendships we've created. Don't miss out on this amazing place! We love Donut Hut!!

The best place to live

Best place to get a ham and cheese super friendly every time I come in, they're always smiling. They're super helpful and their prices are super cheap compared to other donut places me and my wife come all the way from San Clemente just to get a ham and cheese jalapeño.

Number 7 breakfast. Tuna sandwich. Pineapple smoothie

Amazing service, very friendly guy. Prices are amazing and so is the food! Best pineapple smoothie. Think we found a new breakfast/lunch spot!

Just your usual donut shop that has sandwiches and other drinks inside. I came in an hour before they were about to close for the day and the donuts were some how still pretty fresh and not dry and stale. The guy working gave a few extra as well as I grabbed 18 pieces to treat employees. They have all the goodies here, from the classic donuts to the cake donuts and more. The service was friendly and highly suggest this place for taking for any events.

Definitely a great place to get a breakfast sandwich and some donuts. Good coffee too! Get there early for the best selection of donuts. But unfortunately for me, no unsweetened iced tea. Lots of bottle/can drink choices though.

I ordered 120 donuts from Donut Hut for our 100-person wedding in SJC. First and foremost, their customer service is AMAZING! When on the phone with the owner he asked me my color scheme for the wedding and since it was fall colors, he said that he would do his best to get colored sprinkles that matched my theme. He was extremely communicative and was able to find the perfect combo which made our donut wall look spectacular! Pricing was also extremely reasonable and pickup was a breeze. During the wedding I heard that people kept asking if the donuts were for eating or decoration since they looked so good haha. And by the time the night was over, there were only like 5 donuts left! They were a huge hit and we cannot thank Donut Hut enough for making our donut wall such a talking point of the night :)

Dozen variety.

The best microwaved egg sandwich in town... I only had diarrhea for 2-days. Make sure you order the #7 sausage to get the explosion

Delicious donuts! Service could be more welcoming though. Seems like they copied the bagel's from next door

The house itself is over 140 years old, built in 1881, and it was originally a home for one of the early local families. While waiting for a table, we can walk through what used to be a real home, with sofas, desks, and even room-like spaces. Dining here feels like eating inside a historic house, almost like going back to life more than a hundred years ago. Besides the delicious food, what makes this place truly special is how much of the original character has been preserved. Even the restroom has a vintage style, and I've heard it's nearly 90 years old. Coming here is not just about eating -- it feels like living in a piece of history.

Ambience is great, you can sit by the kitchen which is fine because you a nice view of the trains rolling by, or sometime, I would like to sit up on the porch and look out on Los Rios Street. Everywhere is nice as it's all outdoor seating. The advantage of going on a weekday is you don't have to pay the fixed $45 breakfast/lunch price, you can just order whatever you want off the menu. And usually for us, one dish for each and maybe a dessert to split. The beignets, which we had for dessert, are good but they weren't as good as I remember them from times past-hot out of the fryer, but still a little bit doughy inside. Creme anglaise and caramel on the plate. Anyway, this is a very solid spot and always has been, and for good reason it's one of the best restaurants in SJC. The menu changes now and then, but not in a major way. Items are added or dropped now and then, but I haven't seen a whole lot of major changes over the last few years.

Then I remembered hearing about Pacific Pearl Café, so I decided to go over and check it out. I was so happy to see how many gluten-free options are offered! I ended up getting a smoked albacore tuna melt on gluten-free bread to go, along with a cinnamon roll, a cupcake, and a cookie. I also tried the salted caramel latte. The latte was good, but the next time I get it, I will ask for more syrup so I can taste the flavor more. But that sandwich??? Wow! Absolutely delicious! Incredibly flavorful, and everything in it just goes together perfectly! I'm so glad I only ate half of it today, because I cannot wait to eat the other half tomorrow! I had a very busy day, so I haven't gotten a chance to try any of the pastries yet. I really want to go back and try some of the breakfast items. The only reason I knocked one star off is because there's no bathroom. I would love to see this restaurant succeed and I really hope they will expand into a place that is bigger so they can accommodate more patrons eating in, and of course provide a bathroom.
