I recently had their Boar's Head deli-sliced ham and cheese on sourdough with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, and I genuinely don't have the vocabulary to describe how soft and perfect that sandwich was. I grew up in a small town in Virginia, out of my own mom's deli and convenience store -- where locals gathered over coffee, the Washington Post (and yes... cigarettes back then ). Living on the West Coast without family nearby, Niguel Bakery & Donuts gives me that same feeling of home. This is a place where kids can still feel safe like the old days -- riding bikes with friends, scraping together change for a snack... and if they're a little short and have been on their best behavior, Dave and Dani might just take care of them anyway. That kind of generosity can't be taught -- it's who they are. It's an East Coast bodega-style bakery/deli, right here in Laguna Niguel, and they don't just talk about community -- they show it through the countless non-profit events, food donations, and local causes they support.
