Like always, the best latin food in the area. Fresh, tasty and abundant. Real latin flavor in every bite. Excellent customer service.

The pork was excellent. It was rich and juicy. The skin was crisp and well seasoned. The rice was fresh and excellent. The beans were flat and unremarkable in my opinion. Service could use a little polish.

This place is settled rite in the middle of Catty. It's a nice place to eat. It's clean and the people working there are nice and friendly. Service was great and the food was really good. It's a bit expensive though. A bowl of goat soup and a swai fish was $16. If you're in the area and don't mind paying premium prices, I would say give it a try.

The pork. You won't be sorry! Wash it down with a bottle of Country Club, and you'll have a heck of a meal.

Amazing Dominican food served in a classic small town restaurant setting, with great, upbeat service and usually a soccer match on in the background. The food (i tend to always get the same thing- pulled roasted pork and yellow rice) is vibrant and full of flavor, the portions are huge, and everyone is always in a good mood. The empanadas are legit, and the morir soñando is the greatest drink you've never heard of.

I just moved to Catty and found this amazing little restaurant. Great food, I definitely recommend!

I did a Yelp search and this place popped up. I prayed that it was authentic cause... you know how things can get misconstrued. I was so afraid that this would again be some gross ethnic improvisation of a small town meal... well, as I live & breathe, it wasn't. It was authentic. The servers were authentic, thecooks, the food, the music... they even spoke Spanish. I felt like I found the promise land. I was stuck in a land of salt (no pepper), and then just like that...I Christopher Columbus'd La Isla de cilantro! Aye! The food is amazing... Notice I said "the food". It's all on display so you can drool at the yummy goodness if it all. The service.. umm... we'll get to that in a lil bit. But, going back to the food.... yasss!!!! I can't wait to come back and I will be ordering a large (instead of a small) of the chicken soup. The meals are reasonably priced. So service.... I suggest you carry out. I, however ate in and my service would have been better had I gone this route. Ask for the menu at the front. Order there AND pay there, then have a seat. Don't expect anyone to check up on you thereafter. Just eat and leave because they are busy at the front. The mistake I made was not paying outright. I had hoped someone would come to my table with a check... it didn't happen so I went to the front with all the take out orders and they rung me up there.

It's no surprise that their rotisserie chicken has been labeled "the best in the Poconos." All dishes are made from scratch and reasonably priced. Menu Highlights~ Tender, roasted pork with yellow rice and beans is a cultural staple that is a popular item. Fried pork chops, grilled tilapia, and stew chicken are available in combo meals that include rice, beans, salad, and drinks. The traditional soup known as Sancocho is so good you need to taste it My favorite is some kind of steak sitting in just a brown sauce made in a miracle of seasoning, served over whit rice. You'll be in heaven eating this dish

La Parada is a medium sized Dominican restaurant with a wide variety of prepared foods in warmers, and even more menu items available upon order. We saw rotisserie chicken, beef stew, and pork ribs (among others) being kept warm at the counter... But the dish we chose was the PERNIL with yellow rice and beans. A home-made beef empanada would accompany that. The empanada was good (albeit a bit light on the filling), the yellow rice and beans were great, and the Pernil was phenomenal. One of the items they offer is mofongo! They said that requires 20 minutes to prepare, and we couldn't wait... But next time!!!
