In fact, she shared her history of skill and passion for sewing, and she was very experienced in alterations like mine. This woman is a lifelong teacher and one of those artistic gems we never find nowadays - she worked magic. The outfit was meant to wear with no undergarments (it had a built in bra etc.) and frankly it didn't suit my body at all. She was able to detach the built in coverage, change the placement of the clasps, and the whole ensemble (an ornately adorned two piece) fit like a glove!!! I brought my bridesmaid dress to just have a basic hem done before the wedding. The lining was cut too short so it didn't match the bottom of the dress, and even worse the lining was uneven on both sides. A very noticeable error with the slit on the dress. Worse than that, the dress had noticeable marks that weren't there before, one of which looked like a burn mark from pressing which I can only assume, since the lady said she tried to press it but stopped since they don't have the proper equipment like a regular alteration's store. It came back to me a wrinkled mess with marks on it, and a botched hem. I put my trust in Collette to do a professional job for this special event, and it was horrible having a ruined dress on my best friend's special day, that everyone pointed out and the flaws all showed up in pictures as well. I've reached out twice to Collette's only to have no response to make anything right. Save yourself the time and money, and go to a more professional alterations company who can show the proper workmanship and respect for your property.

It came back completely ruined. I figured it was a one-time occurrence so I returned to have them clean an expensive duvet cover & matching shams. I returned to pickup the items & they lost my shams, claiming I never dropped them off. I always wash and dry clean everything together; belts with the outfits, shams with duvet covers so the fabrics are "worn" the same & match for as long as possible. I am furious I will never again have the matching pillowcases for this beautiful duvet. Avoid this business at all costs.
