It's a very civil menu, but it's absolutely delicious. We were early in the day around noon so no one was really there. I ordered the chowder and one of the girls wanted to split an egg sandwich with the tater tots so we did that and the other loved her egg and ham breakfast. She says that she has all the potatoes cut fresh, including the hashbrowns. Now I did order a steak from there a few days later and was not very happy. It looked like one of those yeah I just would order the steaks. Everything else was great even the soups are made from scratch.

Started with the baked Brie and wild mushrooms and some olives and almonds. It was a delicious take on baked Brie. After that I had roast chicken with fennel kale and polenta. The combination was excellent. For desert we had home make cheese cake with raspberry sauce it was light and fluffy a perfect texture and flavor. The only way it could be improved would be espresso after.

Since it's an adults-only spot, we had to plan ahead for childcare, but it was totally worth it! As soon as we stepped inside, we were blown away. The decor is stunning and has so much personality--it really has its own vibe and charm. It feels like it was designed with care without being over the top. The food was incredibly tasty, and every dish we tried was bursting with flavor. Paired with the cozy atmosphere and excellent service, it made for a fantastic dining experience. We're super excited that we finally went and are already planning our next trip. We've heard it turns into a dance party at night!

They offer a small house drink menu with classics and not too classics, as well as aperitive (lower alcohol style) drinks if your doing an early cocktail hour. My Negroni was real tasty (especially after it sat with its BIG square cube for a few min) and served in a nice bodega style glass. The beer list is small, but well curated, and the wine list hits all the marks for a light smattering of local and international (French) wines. The interior was perfect and welcoming. Music was at a nice level so you can relax and talk....and thank god no TV. Four of us took our drinks into the library which was comfy and beautiful (a smidge bright) and sat on gorgeous leather couches, surrounded by a solid collection of folio books on art, mid century design, and...well I didn't get further than that 'cause that's my happy place. Don't forget to get some cheese and charcuterie too!! The bartender was super sweet and definitely learning his craft, but he was measuring his pours, following recipes for the drinks and cared about what he served you. That's a big plus because I know I will get the same great drink time and time again...with a kind smile. So awesome!! Thank you Bar Thatcher for giving us a fun night with friends and for your presence in an area (ukiah, Cloverdale, Hopland). Can't wait to come back!
