I'd been having issues for a while with this office because their followup on unresolved issues had been so poor, but then they added a nurse practitioner who I quite liked and it seemed like things had improved. Went to see the doctor for a cough that has lingered for over a year. He prescribed me an inhaler and also another medication to help me deal with my weight. Well, the medication was backordered and also not covered by my insurance, which meant that now you get into the dance of having to follow up with the pharmacy and the doctor's office to work out finding a medication that is covered under my insurance (because I'm not paying $500-1,000 for any medication when there are alternatives). Well the doctor's office kept trying to find places where the medication was in stock. This pissed me off cause I had already sent a note to their office asking for an alternative medication that was covered to be prescribed. Consequently, I sent a second note asking them to please stop wasting my time finding a medication that wasn't covered and to please prescribe an alternative. Instead of doing as I asked, they cancelled the prescription, never followed up on my request, and sent me a letter which I just received terminating our doctor-patient relationship.
Additionally, my cough has not improved since taking the inhaler, so I'm skeptical that the doctor diagnosed my issue properly. I guess I'll have my next physician double-check his work. read more
