All you need to know is that Dr. Depala is legend!…read more Well regarded in the medical community in Sonoma, Marin and San Francisco counties. No matter who we meet in the pediatric medical community, they all recommended and greatly respect this doctor. Can't go wrong.

Yes I agree, De Pala is awesome. I only think that if the office staff refuse to answer the phone…read moreand then turn me away when I walk in. They actually lied saying they didn't have the equipment, because as DOCTOR lindergen put it it was almost 5 o'clock. It doesn't do me much good if the doctor is great, if I can never get in to see him. When it comes to my kids' safety and on that instance life or death situation, I need more than just OK service. I was so Irate when i left there that day you have no idea. I'm still upset just thinking about it. They have to do better. I've had several other times when Dr Depala said, " Oh the staff should have never given you that advice that was completely wrong." And never see Dr Lindergren she herself has given me the wrong antibiotics and horrible advice on numerous occasions. She also once told me to get some backbone in my voice when I complained of feeling overwhelmed with two kids. Which proves she doesn't know me at all. She never remembers that I've been sick, and in and out of the hospital the last year. (my old dr used to always ask how we were doing. It may may sound selffish but is acually important info when treating the child to know how the parent ar dealing with a new phase, ect.) She never even remembers anything about my kids, never knows theirs names, or even reads the chart before opening her mouth.

The only thing the office staff does consistently is make mistakes and sound annoyed each time they need to answer the phone. On more than two occasions my voicemails were not received for cancelled appointments, messages were not given to the doctor, my prescription was not called in/forgotten about, or I was charged incorrectly. Yet the FINAL STRAW was the AWFUL, EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL behavior I encountered when speaking with DR.SAW AYE. I called the practice and asked to speak with him regarding medication he prescribed for me. I wasn't feeling well after taking it and wanted to know if I could reduce the dosage. He returned my phone call but I wasn't able to pick up so I called back immediately. Unfortunately, the office had closed for lunch. I called the on- call doctor to ask questions about the medication I was prescribed because I didn't feel normal. Coincidently, Dr. Aye happened to be the on call doctor that day. I was pleasantly surprised to hear back and felt relieved that we connected since he had prescribed the Rx. I began explaining how I was feeling and to my surprise he cut me off and was very short. He did not let me finish my sentences or express myself. Then accused me of repeating myself (I was trying to get my point heard-explaining the facts after he kept interrupting me- not repeating myself). I asked him why he was treating em with such animosity...? He then proceeds to call me RUDE for using the emergency line for my PROBLEM. Isn't that what the on-call doctor is for? When you aren't feeling well and your regular doctor is unavailable? He kept repeating himself by saying he couldn't help me over the phone and that I needed to come in for an appointment. I had literally just seen him TWO WEEKS PRIOR so I asked why I needed to come in again. He doesn't run tests at his practice so essentially we would be having a conversation-similar to the phone conversation we were having at that moment. He became extremely irritated and said Im wasting too much of his time (it had been less than 5 minutes according to my cell phone call log) and that he would switch my medication to help with a hormonal condition. When I asked what kind of hormonal condition he asked me if I wanted it or not. I said no thank you and he literally HUNG UP ON ME. I have since found another amazing internal practitioner and I will NEVER EVER be returning to DR. SAW AYE'S practice again. Turns out I was prescribed medication I do not need to take after all. Honestly, I cant believe such an UNETHICAL person is still in business. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place!

The professional staff has always been compassionate and caring. They see lots of patients but that is the nature of the economics of health care today. Sure they are busy. Phone calls often go to voice mail and there is an occasional mistake or oversight but dealing with the front desk is sooo much more pleasant than dealing with my crappy insurance company.
