I LOVE the management and every single employee I met here. Just amazing, with a small town,…read morefriendly feel. It isn't overwhelming like some places. I rescued two severly neglected chained up dogs in a junkyard in South LA. They were young dogs but had never had baths. Attempting to give them a bath at home was a nightmare. I spoke with the managers who GENEROUSLY loaned me use of their grooming station after hearing their story. The whole store was EXTREMELY KIND AND COMPASSIONATE about these 2 poor souls and the hard life they lived. THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT ANIMALS AND THEIR WELFARE HERE. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The facility is large, clean and beautiful. One beautiful employee named Elk went above and beyond by coming to help me bath the male when she had some free time. He turned out to be beyond terrified of the water hosea and blowers and it would have been IMPOSSIBLE to bathe him without her voluntary help. I can't thank her enough. Such an amazing , bright, kind aoul! I cannot thank them enough for helping these two unfortunate dogs and helping to give them a better life for once. It would be impossible to get them adopted without baths. The male was so impacted with grease, old clumps hairs, and dirt that he was always hot and panting. He is now breathing normally and his fur is not like woolens dirty clumps. Everyone here cares. They're professional and corteous and helpful. It's not impersonal like big chain stores like petco. I'll be coming here for all my pet needs! Here is the dogs story. Please share if there are rescues or fosters that would be interested in helping them. I stopped in here on the recommendation of another pet store. I was looking for fancy pet mice and…read morethey suggested Petsmart. I said, "They only seem to have white mice..." and the lady told me that this store actually had black colored fancy pet mice. She'd just been there the day before. So I drove over and lo and behold, they had three fancy mice - one white one with slightly long fur, and two mice that were black and white. The two black and white mice didn't look to be in tip top health though, with both appearing to be sort of hunch-backed. Even so, I asked to see one of them, and got to hold her, and decided to bring her home as a friend for my calico mouse. The staff was very compassionate about the mice and assured he she would quarantine the other black and white one (who looked significantly less well) and have their vet take a look at her. She also confirmed I was only looking for a mouse as a pet, and not for some other purpose. I had to enter my name, address, phone number and email into their system to purchase this mouse. I didn't love that part, but I guess I understand their concern when selling live pets. Overall the store was clean, the pets I saw looked to be in good health (except for these two mice, one of which I did end up buying). The staff I interacted with were all friendly and professional. I was also assured they had a 2 week period where I could return the mouse if she was truly unwell or if she didn't get along with my other mouse or something.

He encouraged us to apply for PetSmart points so we can get a discount on our large purchase. Very disappointing experience. I truly hope the manager or corporate office addresses Petcoat…read more 26501 Bouquet Canyon Rd, Saugus, CA 91350 at the Valencia location. Every time I visit this store, I end up waiting 10-15 minutes before anyone in the grooming salon even acknowledges me. 1. When the groomers are in the back bathing a dog, there is no window or visibility, so they have no idea customers are waiting. 2. One groomer actually saw me waiting and kept knocking on the wall to get someone's attention, but the others had earplugs in, so no one responded. 3. An older gentleman with a cane was waiting in front of me, clearly uncomfortable, and still no one acknowledged either of us. If PETCO cares about customer service, here are some simple solutions: * Hire a receptionist to schedule appointments and check customers in. * Install a Ring door alert so groomers can see when someone walks in. * Add an inexpensive wireless camera/monitor so staff can see the lobby at all times. * If staff take too long to acknowledge customers, offer a complimentary service as a courtesy. It's unacceptable to treat customers this way. My time is valuable, and I can't keep coming in without knowing when someone will finally check me in. When I knock on the glass door after waiting 15 minutes, the staff get upset--as if I'm the problem. This is very poor customer service, and I hope my feedback reaches someone who will actually fix it. Right now, it feels like the store is choosing to ignore the issue. I will be sharing this experience on every platform I can.

Once we got him home, it didn't take long for us to call Dogs Etc to schedule an appointment. Our two other dogs, a golden lab and flat coat retriever mix also were due for a groom so we scheduled everyone together. Dogs Etc is very conveniently located. Priscilla was the groomer up to the task of making the dogs look great. When we walked in later in the day to pickup our dogs, I hardly recognized the new dog. What a transformation! She really did a terrific job with all the dogs. We really appreciate her skills and attn to detail when working her magic. We will continue using Dogs Etc and Priscilla knowing that our dogs will look great each and every time

I have dogs with heavy coats who need specialty groomers that truly know what they're doing. On my last visit, the price for my 70/80-Ib dog jumped from $150 to a little over $400. Not only did the price keep increasing before I even picked him up, but the grooming itself wasn't done well. I tracked down my old groomer afterward, and she told me his nails were still long, he had a large matted knot behind his ear, and the nail on his heel was curled. So the job wasn't just overpriced it was poorly done. I've had great groomers here in the past. They use quality shampoo, the facility is clean, and everyone is nice. But Dogs Etc. has lost so many of their best groomers, and those groomers were the people who could have made this business truly exceptional. I won't be going back unfortunately. Also I always gave great tips! Love my groomers!! My update Yes it was absolutely here DOGs ETC. and I've been going there for at least a decade if not more. Like I said your shop is amazing but you have lost (or the past owners) many many good groomers but this last one was insane. I should have asked for the owners when she decided to charge me $400 at 24886 Apple St, Newhall, CA 91321 Also obviously this is my nickname. I can give you her name if you want but by now she may be gone.

I am beyond disappointed at this groomer and business. We live in the neighborhood and I started taking my dog here a couple of years ago. The last time I took my dog, a few months ago, I thought nothing of it. When I came to pick him up, I was told my dog bit a groomer. They said it was bad and that my dog was banned for life. First, my dog has never bitten anyone. He is the sweetest dog but if he got hurt while getting groomed, that would make sense. My dog was returned to me limping. When I called a few days later about my dogs injury, I spoke to the owner. He accused me of bringing an already injured dog to the groomer. He was not limping before the groomer. He went on to tell me it wasn't his groomer. I took my dog to the vet (which I paid for) and they said it was likely a nail cut too close or at the nerve. Found another groomer and have not had a single issue since. Any pet groomer who refuses to take responsibility is not in it for the animals. Harming my pup and then banning him was totally uncalled for. Go at your own risk! Update 5/14: while I appreciate that the owner suddenly is saying all the right things, this is not who was refusing to take responsibility on the phone when I called about my dog limping. You did not want to even consider your groomer did anything and yes, 2 younger girls were working when I picked up my dog to tell me that he "attacked" your groomer and could never return. I told you this on the phone. You must have selective amnesia. My dog is the kindest sweetest dog who has never attacked a human nor another dog. So you being the nice concerned owner now is too late.
