Saving Gigi is located at Bloor and Roxton Road, a short walk from Ossington subway station. The small coffee shop serves a variety of caffeinated beverages, baked goods, breakfast items as well as sandwiches. There is seating indoors and outdoors as well on their small patio. They are also available through different food ordering apps. I had heard many great things about Saving Gigi's breakfast sandwich for a long time. I was finally able to visit the cafe on a Sat morning. I went around 8:15am and I still had to wait in line for a bit. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (with bacon with the cheddar scone) as well as a flat white with oat milk. My beverage was made before I paid and I waited about 5-10 min for the breakfast sandwich (there were other orders ahead of me). The flat white was made well. The breakfast sandwich was definitely the highlight. The cheddar scone added a whole new element of flavour and deliciousness. The scone was warm and was slightly crispy (but not too crispy) and pillowy in the centre. Can't go wrong with eggs and bacon in a breakfast sandwich. Overall, definitely one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city! Will definitely return for more!!

Visited Saving Gigi for a Yelp Elite Event. It's a cozy and intimate space, great for co-working or catching up with friends for coffee. Got to sample their breakfast items which included a granola yogurt fruit bowl, assorted breakfast sandwiches and wraps, fluffy cheese biscuits, and baked cookies. My top picks would be the breakfast sandwich, the biscuit sandwich, and fluffy cheese biscuits. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.

Really liked this place. Small and sort of easy to miss from the outside, but such a warm and welcoming feel one you step inside. A small cozy place with some pieces from local artists hung on the wall, and a friendly staff to whip you up great cups of coffee, and some lovely breakfast sandwiches. They have a couple different breakfast sandwiches/wraps, which are both great. The real unique hidden gem here is the cheese biscuits they make though. Definitely recommend trying that.

I love a good breakfast sandwich, and I'm so glad to have found Saving Gigi! My go-to is getting their jalapeño cheddar buttermilk biscuit breakfast sandwich with mushrooms and hot sauce. (yum!) The sandwich has the perfect balance of bread, egg and veg - so good! And their biscuits even just by themselves are excellent. They also serve some great coffee, and their apple walnut muffin and their scones are not too bad either. Will definitely be back for more!

I'd give Saving Gigi a 3.5. Saving Gigi is a nice cozy cafe in Bloorcourt. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy with people enjoying coffee while catching up wiht friends, some working on their laptops (like me) and others having late breakfast. I ordered a a breakfast sandwich which I thought was a bit too simple considering the cost. Their coffee wasn't my cup of Joe either as I prefer a more bitter taste, not sour. Although it wasn't for me, it's still worth checking out if you're in the neighbourhood for a coffee, quick bite or even just a place to sit and catch up with a friend. In addition to coffee and tea, they also offer select alcoholic drinks.

What I tried: Cheese biscuits, breakfast granola, bacon and egg biscuit, mimosa, cherry& lavender tea, mushroom and cheese wrap, vegan cookie, chocolate chip cookie and breakfast cookie. PROS: - Came here as part of a yelp event to try some of their items. - Great local breakfast place, similar vibe as the places at Kensington market. There are local artists featured on the walls and is family run by a father/son duo. - Favourite item was the mushroom and cheese biscuit, it's savoury and they make the biscuits in house. Ask for the dragonsauce, they make this in house as well and the sour cream too. I asked if they sell bottles of the dragonsauce but it's something planned in the future, not currently. This is a savoury-spicy sauce but isn't too spicy, kind of like curry. - There are vegan and gluten free options. - Lots of local drinks options. - Wifi available CONS: - I mentioned earlier that it's got a grunge/ Kensington market vibe, that might not appeal to everyone. - There is only 1 gender neutral washroom downstairs.

Ordered delivery. There was no option on UberEats to make something iced, so I wrote it in the notes and they adjusted the item and the price easily for me. The matcha overnight oats were amazing - gooey, sweet, good coconut and matcha flavour. I also had a matcha latte and it was the right balance of flavours. Breakfast wrap rated tasty by my husband, but I docked a point because he said his Americano wasn't very good (which they had a drip coffee option as well)

Found a new co-working/working/coffee spot/brunch spot/everything spot :) Came by Saving Gigi's recently, though I have definitely been in the past as well. I was reminded what a perfect summer haunt this place is. There's a beautiful shady patio and brand new AC pumping inside. Ordering is made simple when you can just go to the cash, get a number, get to work and then get everything brought out to you! I was impressed by a friend's House Salad that she ordered, and even more surprised when I heard it was called a simple House Salad! That thing came fully loaded loaded with tons of freshly cut and shaved veggies. I also got a shakshukah dish that was really nice and hearty, ordered with caramelized onions added on. I was particularly impressed with the pita points that came with za'atar dusted on. And, they make a mean coffee too!

Eating breakfast for dinner! What an interesting concept. Saving Gigi has great breakfast wraps and biscuit sandwiches. I tried the egg & bacon biscuit sandwiches and the mushroom & egg wrap. It seems that everything is made fresh in-house. A small cozy place run by a father and son team. They also serve great cappuccino and matcha lattes. After drinking two of these I was on a caffeine high!

Egg sandwich. One of the best I've ever had.

Good place that is somewhat Kitschy, but not really in a bad way (if that's possible). Our party of two, sat down at a table for four, but the problem was that a party of two was already seated there. They didn't seem to mind, but because they were there first, we let their conversation dominate over our conversation. Are ya following me so far? I ordered the egg sandwich and even though it took a bit of time to get (this is not a paid endorsement by the way), it was the best damn egg sandwich I've ever had. I have no idea why, but it really was. Maybe I'm just easily impressed, or maybe the cook added crack to my eggs. Regardless, yum. So yeah, that's it. Be prepared to wait for a table, then share a table, then wait a bit for your food, but I think it was worth it. For the record, I was so engrossed in my own damn sandwich, that I forgot what my companion ordered. Oh well, couldn't have been as good as mine . . .

Very friendly barista. Great flat white and a washroom!!!! Good spot for WiFi, tables

Yummy ice mocha and disappointing ice tea.

Really enjoy this cafe's environment and location. The iced mocha was yummy but the iced tea was bland, boring, and really not worth it. Would return and try the small baked goods but would definitely stay away from the ice tea.

I feel like I know everyone in Saving Gigi from local shows, shops and bopping about Christie Pits. I love these neighbourhood hot spots, they give me the community warm and fuzzies. Strong coffee, stronger wifi, an excellent sandwich selection (two sided menu! at a coffee shop!) and a patio. PEPPER PREFERS to order the breakfast sandwich, all the live long day.

Opted for their new seasonal mango sticky rice matcha latte which was really good and loved the bits of sticky rice in my drink. But it was on the sweeter side of things. Would've been perfect if they scaled back on the sugar content. Overall, delicious drinks with a rotating seasonal menu.
