I saw the same exact one at Party city for $19.99. Also, the lady that helped me was the sweetest. She brought so many costumes over to me. Her favorite was the one I ended up buying. I absolutely loved Savers. I had never went thrifting before this trek to Hempstead but it was totally worth it. The store is extremely organized (win!) and the selection is plenty (win!). The quality of the items are good and Savers have really nice things, this all depends if you have the patience to look. *As a first time thrifter, definitely learned patience is a virtue* The best part of the day was the colored discount tags on the items. This is my go to thrift store. It's very organized and I like that they accept returns and there are fitting rooms. The best part is once you get the savers card you are able to get the sales. For example, president's day the store is 50% off. I've found many deals and received many compliments for outfits purchased here. I've saved tons of money purchasing clothes for work. The only negative is that it can get very crowded and two shopping carts cannot fit through the aisles so it's always a struggle to get by someone else with a cart. read more

I've been to a couple of thrift stores, and I like this one. If you wan something nice you have to look for it, but trust me, they have really nice things. I got 2 blazers for 21, one was Nautica ( great brand ) with gold buttons for 15, and the other was some brand for only 6. They had other nice stuff but I went there for blazers/sports coats. But overall really large selection, although it feels a little dirty. read more

It's disappointing this is Savers only Nassau county location (I think there was a Levittown/east meadow location 15 years ago?). Compared to Savers of Suffolk county, this store is VERY cramped & pretty dumpy, in a "meh" area. I feel like this store is annoying to navigate especially with a shopping cart. There have been good finds tho, but again, how is this the ONLY Nassau location??? Also what's pretty strange is they charge for bags at the register? When I asked why, I was told b/c the Suffolk county stores have to charge for bags. Makes no sense. read more

Sometimes you find a good bargain but I tend to go out to different places now because the prices at this one have gotten ridiculous. I used to get great bargains for my grandson which is why I went. $4 for jeans, $2 or $3 for shirts. They get a ton of these clothes free, I know people who donate all the time and then turn around and now sell jeans for kids for like $6.00 for and shirts were $4 and $5 last time I went. Pajamas were $5. I can buy shirts new at Old Navy for that price. I was like okay someone is on drugs. I didn't get much the last time I went at all. People go on their 50% days for different color tags but they hardly have anything with those tag colors. If I'm donating clothes, which I do all the time to various places, I expect they will sell them to people at affordable prices. Might as well just shop new but on sale at JCPenney and use coupons. Or drive out to American Thrift which kept low pricing and had larger selection. Also they don't donate to the Girls and Boys Club as far as I understand, they buy the clothes that people donate from them at really cheap prices which is still good. read more

A lot of the staff members are very rude and one of the guys is invasive. They don't have many nice things for people sized 18 and up. Many of the white/ tan shirts have stains. I used to come here and get 8 things for 30 dollars and be treated respectively but those times have changed. read more

There was this worker lady there.....Rose Howard. She was so nice and went out of her way to help me. Honestly, I don't think she was even on the clock. But when I asked her a question, she didn't hesitate to answer me and then show me around the whole store.. We were looking for something I say there last week but I think it got sold. Good Store with friendly and stable staff and management. Expect a large 18 wheeler truck doing a delivery for the Dollar Store next door to be parked smack in the middle of the parking lot like it fell from outer space. It looks like the Landlord did not plan for that scenario at all. I know it's hard, but the cashiers must work on speeding up transactions. Shoppers should avoid lines with little old ladies with a cart full of crap, or you will be there all day! During sale days, expect about 3-5 minutes or more per register transaction. This is place is clean and full of light. Staff is friendly. However prices are very high. Used handbags go as high as 30.00. In order to find a bargain you have to look for items with a specific color code. Many people who shop there are annoying. They are always looking to start a conversation with you. Very distracting. Better deals a dollar and up stores. Stay away. I would recommend this place for inexpensive furniture if you are handy enough. Prices for old furniture seem more than reasonable. read more

The prices are very high for a thrift store. The person doing the pricing marks an old Navy item higher than a Versace, Dolce Gabbana or BCBG item. A sweater is no less than $12.99. The employees are rude and nasty. Real ghetto fabulous. The Hispanic ladies gets upset when you try on the clothes and leaves it in the dressing rooms, no rack to put the unwanted clothes. They care about the dollars all about the dollars. $$$$$$PRICE$ ARE TOO HIGH$$$$$$$. $$$$$$$$$$$$. Macys, bloomies, Marshalls sells things cheaper. So why pay so much for second hand when you can get new items on sale for almost the same. Items are donated and priced really high like the Salvation army. I've been to a couple of thief stores and love them! This one is also great. I found several things in good condition for very low prices. I went on a day that everything was 50% off. These speciality days are incredible. You are essentially paying from $1-$6 on the 50% off days. Originally prices without 50% off that I saw frequently were $2-$12 but still that a great deal for many things in good to great condition. Fitting rooms are very small with no bench or anything but they are fine. Also you can donate up to 6 bags and get 30% off your next purchase I believe! Workers were helpful and kind. The store in general was quite dingy (compared to other savers/value villages) and there was not much space to move around between aisles, the purse selection was horrendous, but the jewelry section and the employees were quite nice. It's a very hit or miss location cause of its proximity to the city. Once in a while you'll find something awesome, but most of the time it's overrun with competitive shoppers that resell things on eBay. I wish they had a better selection of shoes and purses but I have found beautiful dresses and shirts. My one big complaint is that the store is a bit pricey. I love to thrift shop. Church thrift shops, garage and estate sales.. love them all. Went to Savers and did love how it was organized and did not smell awful like Salvation Army. Aisles and aisles of clothes, tons of shoes, large selection of just about everything. But, the price was not right. Too expensive. 10 bucks for a Liz clairborne blouse!! Me thinks not!! I bought Clairborne shirts from other thrift shops for less then three dollars ,.I did buy two large bags filled with clothes and shoes... only because it was half off for the Martin Luther King holiday. Would I go back? No, can get way cheaper items at different thrift shops. Will say that it is very clean, helpful staff, very organized and a lot of registers. It is in a great location with free parking in the back. But, if you want to check it out go ahead. Just remember if you go in with 20 bucks to buy a bunch of things, you won't walk out with change for lunch ;). read more
