Used to be a good place to donate and shop. Unfortunately now there is only one donation parking spot available - the others are blocked off with cones, and there's no queue, so it's very inconvenient to donate here. I've been taking my donations down the street to the corner thrift store or the goodwill donation center that's kitty corner from it. The store is huge and there's tons of inventory, but it's overpriced - there are no bargains to be had here. Lastly - when they play messages over the loudspeaker - it is only in spanish - never in english or any other language. WHY??? This makes zero sense. So only spanish speakers will know what the message is saying - this is an ethnically diverse area, and there are many nationalities that shop here - why limit the messages to spanish only? I have donated and shopped at the Walnut Creek Savers on Tice Valley since it opened. I purchased some Lenox china yesterday. I paid what I consider a lot for dishes at savers about $65 for 12 plates. When I got it home I washed them and found the black grease paint the store marks all plates with would not wash off! The black color had seeped in to the porcelain. I tried bar keepers friend, a magic eraser and bleach. The black stain is permanently on the plates making them unusable. When I spoke to a store manager, she refused to even consider a credit. She rudely kept repeating their policy and suggested I donate them back to Savers!!! Are you kidding? I am stuck with $65 worth of plates that are useless. Buyers at Savers beware. I wont be shopping or donating there anymore and will be spreading the word. read more

They are very racist toward brown people. It was around closing time and the two white employees kept on telling just me that I had to leave the store. No one else got the memo and no one else was told it was closing time. Regardless of the people just walking in. But I was the only brown person so, I guess it makes it alright read more

The store itself is fine. Lot's of stuff. I use to donate religiously but the customer service (specifically Ricardo) is subpar at best. He's lousy with customers, rude, inexperienced and has a huge disappointing attitude that does not say much for Savers. Is this really the best Savers can do with staff?? Myself and my organizations will be donating elsewhere until they train the staff (once again, Ricardo) correctly. read more

Very impressed with this new Savers store near Rossmoor. So well organized and clean and such a great selection of items in all categories. Tuesdays are Senior Days there, and I believe it's either a 30 or 40% discount. My friend and I went there for the 1st time a couple of days ago, we had so much fun! They also give you a coupon to use in the store whenever you donate items. read more

No place to park and aggressive elderly people trying to run people over. They really should have thought this location out better.

I was in search of some toys for my classroom and also curtains for my living room. I found neither but what I did find were very high prices on knick-knacks. How disappointing. I probably won't be back. read more

I hate leaving that poor of a star count for a spot that could easily gain another 2 in my book ... only if they had fitting rooms !! I came and found several pieces I liked (though I usually never thrift shop, so I was a bit out of my element), but no fitting rooms. How do I know if it fits ?? If I take several pieces, chances are at least one won't fit. I don't wanna go through the hassle of returning. This was the single obstacle for me today that prevented me from buying and being a retuning customer. read more

The prices here are just silly for a thrift store. $8.49 for a used towel. $14.99 for used sweatpants - Especially considering they are not even a nonprofit organization. I don't think I will be back. read more

There is a woman staff member who is amazing. Always greets us with the savings of the day and helps us to get senior discount on Tuesday. Contrast her with the man outside accepting donations who was very grumpy and even insulting. He could take a lesson in customer service from her. read more

As a Rossmoor resident, I am totally offended by the trash compactor that is at Savers below the end of our block. All day long used items, of particular note glass and furniture are thrown and break LOUDLY into the compactor that greatly disturbs the residents of this quiet community. The worst part is when they actually compact the items rattling the houses closest to Savers in their foundation. The noise is uncalled for and offensive from a company that claims to recycle all used items. The items they are compacting all day go directly to landfill. read more

Bring earplugs if you shop, the NOISE from the TRASH COMPACTOR is HORRIBLY LOUD. Using trash compactors directly next to a residential area is a huge community blunder. Other Savers stores truck out their trash and are good neighbors. Please mention this solution to the management if you go! read more

I like the place but I usually only buy clothes at savers. They don't have a fitting room so I couldn't buy anything cuz I wasn't sure if it was going to fit right. Big bummer since this store is closer to home. I'll probably come back for books but not very often. read more

The merchandise looks in good quality and not too dirty or damaged like other thrift stores. The Dublin location still much better. I got a good deal on 2 makeup bags..under $4. The jacket I bought...though of a good brand was $15, a bit on the expensive side. I also noticed their decor, though very nice was on the expensive side. A $25 dolphin statue...i LOVE dolphins and have bought a few at other savers...like in San Jose for under $17... The area DEF made things more pricey. Other locations better and have WAY MORE FURNITURE. read more

Savers Walnut Creek will not save you money. Prices are high and I was so disappointed because my experience at other Savers had been great - great merchandise and treasure hunting and lots of bargains. I like to shop thrift stores and repurposing things. The items at this branch are just okay, but the prices are not. The staff is nice and everything is organized as you would expect, but store is small so there is a lingering "second-hand" smell. read more

Writing this review actually saddens me. I love to thrift and hit spots all over the Bay Area, including this savers, several times a month. By the time I'm done shopping, my cart is usually overflowing with items. I always do my best to put all unwanted items back where they belong, as I do at every store. Staff is usually very appreciative of this as it doesn't add more work to their already full load. Tonight was the 2nd incident I have had with the store manager, Kay. A few months ago, my friend and I were shopping and had tons of great finds in our carts. We went through everything when we were done and decided what we were keeping and what was going back. We proceeded to checkout where Kay almost angrily asked "where's all the rest of the stuff you had in your carts?!" This caught both my friend and I off guard because she was so aggressive, but we politely told her we had put everything back where we found it. Even another staff member told her we had put everything back. Tonight, another friend of mine and I were shopping for a couple of hours, when Kay approached us, and only us, to ask us to bring all of are unwanted items to the front. I was surrounded by other shoppers with full carts to which she said nothing to them. Both my friend and I found this to be very strange. When it was time to check out, I made a snarky remark about bringing all my items to the front as she had asked. When it was just her and I, I asked her why she only approached my friend and I and nobody else. I felt very targeted. She didn't have a good answer, so instead, she told me I had to leave the store. I told her I was leaving, I was checking out my items. She then came over, cancelled my transaction, and called the second manager, Darrin over. I will say, Darrin is a very nice man and I do not blame him for any of this. As I tried to explain to Darrin that I was confused as to why she was treating me this way, Kay rudely interrupted and said "I have told her to leave!" So of course, as any normal person would do, Darrin just nodded his head. I'm sure he doesn't want to have to deal with her either. After I left the store, shocked and almost in tears, she approached my friend and told her she was going to unknowingly photograph me and send the pics out so I couldn't shop at savers and that I was showing major "red flags". I was blown away. I am a 38 year old woman and I have never been asked to leave anywhere in my entire life. There are so many different ways this could have been handled, but it's clear to me this manger, for whatever the reason, just has a target on my back. I have reached out to corporate and am waiting to hear back. I am beyond disappointed. On a positive note, all other staff members at the Walnut Creek location have always been a delight! read more

Went on opening day and spent 70 on one pair of shoes that I obviously couldn't try on. I asked the lady what the return policy was she said " 14 days with original tag and receipt " so I made sure to try them on very carefully and they did not fit so I decided to return them. After driving 20 minutes to the store they say I can only exchange for another product. Not return. I understand things can be hectic upon opening that's why you should be lenient with your employees telling customers certain things and honor the return. read more

I've never been to a Savers before, so maybe the high prices are to be expected. I might try it again if they have sales or coupons.
