I've been here 12 times in the last two weeks to drop off items to donate. I could not do what these guys are doing who are sorting through all of these donated items lifting heavy items and dealing with random stuff. They have commercial sized laundry baskets on wheels for you to bring to your car and offer you help if needed. They were very nice and welcoming. read more

This was another thrift shop on my list. It is somewhat easy to see from the freeway. The parking lot is pretty tight, as it shares the lot with Shane Co and Staples for the size of the lot. This Goodwill seems spacious and has a lot of items, however, I found a lot of the items to be overpriced for what they were/average prices for items were definitely higher than other local Goodwills. It was a turnoff to even look at much of the store after looking at a handful of items that were overpriced. Staff who were organizing the floors were interesting, to say the least. They squeezed past me holding a lot of clothing in their arms, even though I made space for them in the aisle, and somehow further down the aisle tripped on the items they were carrying a bit, and cursed loudly within ear shot. They were also interacting with another staff member and they didn't seem to be happy working there... I probably wouldn't recommend coming here if you're looking for deals. read more

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon. No parking. Cars lined up waiting for a spot. The spot we found was very tight. Multiple businesses share a relatively small parking area. Donations are taken at the main entrance which was chaotic. Inside, the aisles were very crowded with shoppers and carts. Plenty of interesting books. Nice views of the hills. read more

Warning: goodwill has bed bugs. I brought a sweater home with an earwig 6 months ago and today I discovered little red bed bugs in my clothing purchases. Threw them out and need to stress that this place is under poor management with careless employees who overpriced at more than retail. read more

Unfortunately, I am updating my review and taking stars off of what used to be one of my favorite goodwill stores. I frequently drive down to the bay area and stop by this Goodwill on the way back to Sacramento often I guess I don't have to do that anymore. I had stopped yesterday and found they had gone from a batch pricing.( all tank tops X dollars etc..) to individual pricing. I honestly can't stand it when goodwill stores try to price these things out at what they think they are worth. What I believe is that they look at Ebay and see what things are listed for obviously what things are listed for is not where they should be looking they should be looking for what they sold for their prices now are completely ridiculous. I bought a couple of things, but not nearly what I used to buy, and I probably will just Stop at the Salvation Army up the road now, where you can actually still get a great bargain. read more

I have visited this particular goodwill several times. Its really a hit and miss store. One visit I will leave with nothing! Then the next time I go I score a beautiful TrinaTurk sweater! The prices are pretty high though. I didn't mind spendin $8.99 for the designer sweater I scored, but $10.99 and up for jeans is just dumb! Like I said--its a hit and miss Goodwill! read more

I love this store and feel so grateful to have it right here in Walnut Creek. It's clear they're going through some reorganization -- more employees, more merchandise, and a refreshed energy overall. Prices have gone up a bit, but that's to be expected these days. It's still a great place to shop at reasonable prices. Plus, shopping here does good for both people and the planet. Poorly organized, came on 6/7 and the people who ran the donation area were yelling at people for no reason. Saw this man yell at several people trying to make donations all of which were trying to drop things off. Would recommend you go somewhere else. read more

This location is one of the few left in the Bay Area. I drop in once in a while & it's clean, well-organized but honestly not much can be found here. In my opinion, a "good" thrift store is one where you walk in and you rarely walk out empty handed. This place is not like that. I've walked out plenty of times with nothing in hand. Some of my best purchases have been: a new Pottery Barn comforter for $10, a wool coat for $10, gorgeous matted frames for $8 & a black leather Marc Jacobs handbag for $14!!! Worth dropping by if you're in the neighborhood but don't drive out there looking for finds. It's clean, workers are friendly and there's always parking. read more

This location no longer has a fitting room. You can make returns for store credit. Great stuff! I most recently shopped for activewear and found too many selections. Went way over budget! Favorite place to shop FIRST, rather than add more to the landfill. read more

I dropped off all my items with no issues. Parking was fine. The Goodwill employee was helpful and made the process simple and quick.

Prices have changed to make it a bit more affordable. The layout is the same and the cashier was nice. Not much household items. Some toys. It seems like Goodwills have been reduced in size for some reason makes me not want to go read more

Fairly small, limited items. Not a lot of home goods, mostly clothes. Sometimes you can find a thing here and there, but a lot of things aren't in great condition. Things are priced too high, some are the same as if bought it new (why, how). Spoke with a manager (not sure if manager or supervisor that shift) at one point and she was pretty awful tbh. I felt bad for the employees that they have to work under someone like that, the employee got snapped at just asking the manager to come over. I know, I know, speaking to the manager, but sometimes you gotta do it. I think they need to look closer at how they are pricing their items and get in some better managers. When it comes down to it this isn't the thrift store I would be excited to go to. read more

Bad customer service. Friday afternoon going to check out, there is one dress missing tag. The staff said she cannot sell it and the dress will go back to the distribution center? What? I am so confused. It is not my fault! If there is a policy mentioning no sale on missing tag item, the store should make a note in the front and let customer know. They only get two stars because the staff is wonderful. I don't know what has happened to this place in the last year, especially the last 5-6 months! They used to have shoes racks and now they put them on top and then the fall on you or your hands. Happened twice to me now! Barely any books. EXPENSIVE AS ALL GET OUT!! Why am I paying $10.99 for used jeans and $9.99 for long sleeve shirts!!!! A simple cheap tank top is $4.99!!!! I'll just go to Macy's and get brand new clothes in the clearance section for same price or cheaper with my coupons. Then they had Goodwill tags on some clothes that showed a cheaper price, but that was from a store that closed and they sent the items there. You can't pay that price, you have to pay the more ridiculous price. read more

Just came into this store hoping for better than the last time. Picked up a hoodie and was told that it was a jacket and would be $17.99. I told the sales lady that it wasn't a jacket but a hoodie and might be considered a light jacket but definitely not a jacket. She said light jackets meant windbreakers. This review is based on my experience with the donation process. My friend was in the process of moving, and because the entire process of packing and moving is a huge task, I asked if she wanted me to bring all the donation items to Goodwill for her. She told me the nearest Goodwill was on Main Street, next to the Office Depot. Okay, perfectly close. When I entered the store with 2 boxes of items (there were another 2 bags within my car which I had to take out later), the man that worked there asked me 'What's in the boxes'. It's not the words he said, but the way he said it - tone, stress of syllables, and general rude demeanor. 'Mmm, mainly shoes. I think this other one has kitchen appliances.' He keep this weird gaze on me and said "You think? Why don't you know what's in there?" 'I'm actually donating things from a friend. It's a favor.' I responded while putting the thing down to where he pointed. At most other donation spots, the attendant actually helped me carry the item, sort the item, and asked if I wanted a donation slip. This man didn't do any of the three. Instead he continued to lecture me. "Well, you should still know what you're dropping off. It's in your possession." He said making a face while peering into the box. I decided that this guy should just be ignored and I went back to grab the other two bags before asking him for a donation slip. read more

This is not the best Goodwill. The Pleasant Hill location is my local favorite. They selection was limited in most items. That being said I did walk out with a used Hibachi Grill for $15.00. I need one for camping and I was very happy to find it. Other than that I just was on the fence about the selection of items. The furniture selection is small due to the size of the store. Most things that were for sale did not seem worth even selling at a Goodwill. Old and very used. I saw a bowling ball bag with shoes and gloves, and ball, that was probably from 1962 that was monogrammed for "Kay". I was sad when I saw it because we all know "Kay" is no longer with us and her hay day of being the hot bowling leaguer is gone with the wind now. Poor Kay. No one even wants her beautiful bowling ball with a bag. My go to items as these shops are usually cooking items. Interesting pans or utensils. Sometimes you can find good Tupperware items. Anyway, I wont go out of my way to come in here very often. read more

I sopped donating here a few years due to the "greeting" staff at the front door. They were gruff, unfriendly, slow and not helpful. It was such an unpleasant experience each time, I decided to take my donations to Salvation Army in PH, instead. However, in the past year, I decided to try Goodwill again since they are so close to my home. They must have changed management because the front door staff are now wonderful! They are friendly, responsive, coming over right away to take my things, always ask if I would like a receipt and politely thank me for my donations. What a difference! So much better than before. I turn left and stop. The small parking lot is swarming with cars. They have an overflow lot, and that is packed too. Luckily, I found a space pretty quickly and only had to fend off a Tesla and Audi for it--sweet! The real winner was when I walked in and was greeted by an employee yelling out, "S---!" Glad there were no kids around. A few moments later another employee (not wanting to be outdone) decided it'd be great to punctuate his conversation with a customer with "f---." I can't really make this up folks. Needless to say every employee looked the other way when I walked by. Not a "hello," "hey man," or even a "get out of the way." Aside from that fact, this Goodwill is run-of-the-mill. The furniture section is a bit small, the book sections are quite big though. Unfortunately, I found most of the books to be basic fiction. I prefer non-fiction and din't see a lot right now. There are a lot of better thrift stores in this area (including Goodwills), and even though I live down the street, I don't anticipate coming again soon. read more

I come here often as I go to Shane Co. often I can't believe that this Goodwill only has a 2.5 star rating, definitely 5 Stars in my book! This store is so organized & clean unlike the ones in Solano County. Customer service is always fantastic especially Dale, he goes out of his way to make you feel like a special customer! This is usually my "lucky" goodwill. Even though there's not a whole lot of merchandise there always seams to be the one thing I've been wanting or needing. I've even found some valuable pottery and antique dinnerware here- However.. after waiting for you to open and being ignored as a group of customers are tapping on your glass 15 minutes after opening time.. A woman and three other employees finally open the doors to inform us you're waiting on a cashier who won't arrive for 45 minutes? And not allowing customers in to shop in the meantime? Why does only one person know how to use the register? What's up with the understaffing? That was a very frustrating day but at least I discovered two other small business thrift shops in the area instead. read more

I went here found some.nice tags but couldn't find the price so I went to the front hoping they'd price them since they were the only nice pair but the lady said she couldn't sell them cause there not priced so I left and went to the one farther down the street and also found another one without a tag and the customer service was also better and they priced it on the spot read more

Very rude employees! I have mobility limitations and kindly asked if they could hold on to my things at the register and was shocked with how rude they reacted towards my request. They asked me to use the shopping cart and when I expressed how the cart would be to heavy, they said:"it's not heavy." I ended up buying only two small items before walking out. My five year old son was with me and I think he felt the negative tension. read more
