I'm pretty sure this was the retail price, new at Starbucks.

Sometimes I go here just for a chuckle... the prices are hilariously high for a lot of things....

Can u believe it? $6 for this gorgeous doll?

This is another place that I've driven by several times and was unsure of whether it was a grocery store or something of that nature. Today I was afforded the chance to come in and check it out. I find it is a thrift store. Now first let me say, and I am very picky about thrift stores because I am a thrift store Junkie. So if you're going to be a thrift store you got to have your game stepped up. That being said, I love the location it is easy to see from the road. the signage is huge and visible. The best thing about this store is the neat and clean way it is kept up. Shopping carts are right at the door when you come in neatly put away. You don't have to search for one, they're right there when you enter the door. The Isles are easy to go down free of debris and all items are neatly put on the shells and labeled so that you know exactly what you're looking for as you go down the aisles. They even have a restroom that you can use and believe it or not this is a big issue when I go to thrift stores. Any store that doesn't allow me access to a restroom when I'm in their establishment to spend money, is a store I can't do business with. So it was good to see that a restroom was available for customers. The selection of items I feel could have been better. Especially the furniture and clothes. The home decor and office supplies was absolutely great, but the furniture was the bigger disappointment. I saw couches that were five different shades due to multiple stains that weren't clean. I saw tables that look like they were standing on their last leg and chairs that it had so many butts sitting in it and it look like if one more went in it would all come tumbling down. These were the items that which is way overpriced. Why would I pay $100 for a chair that can't hold me. When I can go get a brand new one for that much that will. As for the clothing it is the same scenario no matter what store you go to. Unless the store specializes in plus size clothing, you are at a loss in finding that particular type of clothing. I found no plus-size clothing in the store. The highest size I saw was a size 14 and that is a medium woman's size. It does upset me that I keep running into this problem in various stores, but it's a problem that I can't blame solely on savers. To not accommodate plus size women is a problem that's been going on for years. You would think as many overweight people we have in this world, there would be more accommodation to our sizes or likes and dislikes. There is one good note to all of this, on this trip I did snag a rare find. I collect porcelain dolls, and I was actually able to find a black ballerina doll. That is truly something I didn't expect to find and I couldn't pass it up and it was only $6. The gist of this is I have so many other options for thrift shopping and this store is actually very far away from where I live so my chances of coming back here are very slim, but if I do come back, I would only come for a rare find. something that I know I will never find in another thrift store. But if I'm looking for clothing for myself, there's just nothing to accommodate my style, or my needs...so the rare find is the only pull for me to be a saver.

If you want discounted stuff that is well organized. Then this is the place for you! I use to frequent the savers in the old Bannister Hypermart (remember those days?) shopping lot. I was excited to see one in Olathe. This doesn't have as much a super discount as those days past, but there are some. I enjoy the simple looking through the organized items. It's almost like shopping in a normal store.

Completely picked through merch- high prices. Virtually no vintage. Go to any other thrift or flea market for good choices.

Located in an extremely safe section of town, TurnStyles Thrift store is available to service all…read moreof your second-hand market needs. The parking is extremely wide open with plenty of "elbow room". That said, the staff friendly and most of the patrons were very nice. Please note Thrift stores are very hit or miss so going from week to week can result in a highly different experience. I'll be the first to admit, all thrift stores have a funky smell to them and I found TurnStyles to be no different; nothing to the point of unbearable but it lingers for the duration of the visit. Now in terms of being what do they offer, well pretty much everything and anything. Furniture, clothing, toys, books, CDs/DVDs, cookware, you name it. I found the kitchen section in terms of pots, pans, mixers and things of that nature to be very sparse while their main attraction was clothing. Towards the back, one can find a small furniture section with some decent to horrible offerings. I liked some of the books they had and was extremely tempted to pick something up since I found many that perked my interest. Their music selection had me laughing as I noticed a couple odd bands from the 80s, 90s and beyond which I don't think anyone would buy. Color Me Bad anyone? I don't recall seeing much for motorized lawn equipment but I was in and out relatively quickly. As for my purchasing, I found a couple of very cool items! I bought a 7 foot ficus tree which I've had for a long time. But what I really like is I bought this Greek inspired side head sculpt that I absolutely adore and it gets many compliments from my guests. Also there's a Greek inspired plate and candle holders which I think adds interest to my living room. Finally, I've also bought some quality kitchen items for my kids which saved me a ton of money. There are a few other knickknacks but you get the jist. Overall, thrift stores have a very particular clientele and subculture. I'm pretty sure if you're reading this you know how things go, so I'm not going to try and upsell you, rather give you the thumbs up to come on by and see what they got. It's safe and the people are nice while have a very large floorspace open to many different reasonably priced objects.

I really enjoyed Turnstyles. As an avid thrifter, I'm always looking for a great place…read more I'll start with the positives. I think the quality of the merchandise is a solid 8.5 out of 10. Maybe even a 9. I did see a few items that were pretty worn but the prices were good. I didn't t understand what the colors meant with some being a percentage off. I got done really cute items but admit those were at regular price. Still, I don't think I paid more than $15 for a single item with many bring in the $8-$10 range. I did wind up with a couple in the $4-$5 being discounted, I got a cute coat in pristine condition for $12. I learned upon checking out that I unknowingly was there on the day they put out new merchandise. After a small non positive encounter, I really enjoyed my experience with the employees and really appreciated the info they shared with me and taking the time to explain how the discounts work, sales days, and signing me up for the rewards program. The store is relatively small which limits the selection but the selection is very good considering the size of the store. The quality available is also good. I did catch a couple of harder to see flaws in a couple of garments that made it to the floor but the prices were quite reasonable if you decided to buy and fix it. One garment I don't think was fixable and would need to be bought with the acceptance that the faux leather was peeling and would continue to do so. Just like with any thrift store, look at the garment for any flaws. Still the selection and prices were far better than many thrift stores I've been to and shopped. The second con was they seemed understaffed or maybe the staff that was there seemed inattentive at times. I have mixed feelings. Maybe they had a long day. I had a decent amount in my cart and went to the registers. 2 were open. One person was finishing up ringing up a customer. The other had just started ringing up someone with a huge amount of items in their cart. When the one cashier finished ringing up the person, they walked away from the register. But they stopped behind the counter where they chatted with 2 other people standing behind the counter. I saw 2 other people on the floor (maybe more but at least 2) making a total of at least 6 employees in the store and only one person ringing up customers. I asked if they planned to open another register realizing it would be at least 30 minutes before I would get to check out with me just standing there waiting. I felt like I had to push a bit but finally the person went back over to their register to open it up. Shortly after, 2 more customers were already in line. I will note that once the person opened back up, I started a very nice dialogue with them and they were helpful in getting me signed up to the rewards program and telling me all about certain days being special sales days. It ended on a very good note. They have 1 dressing room. Yikes. There was a line most of the time and I felt very rushed because I knew people were waiting on me to get in. I liked the merchandise, the quality and price along with having a lot of sales opportunities and a rewards program enough that I will definitely return and would recommend others give them a try if you are a thrifter.

I never been to a store where I wanted to run and make a yelp review faster than today…read more Not because I want to tarnish this business reputation. Although, I think they have already accomplished that from the other reviews. But, I wanted to make these reviews so the people who fall victim to their scam and unfathomable greed. Walking around we just saw predominately elderly shoppers. They have their items priced erratically. Remember that old raggedy 2000 jacket from old navy your mom bought you that you never wore so you threw it in the back of your closet and it grew it's own habit and ecosystem? Your mom bought it for 12.99 back in 2000, but now with its chic mold and living creatures and a few holes from the moths, at City Thrift they charge 19.99 not 20 but 19.99, cause if it ends in .99 it's a DEAL! We spent an hour playing, "guess the price". Probably the spookiest game since the Ouija. This place preys on the elderly, preys on the less fortunate. You could go to Walmart and buy 4 items for the price of one of theirs. This isn't a "vintage" store. This is a sham. I put every item I wanted back. Also, there's zero mirrors. No fitting rooms. They want you to buy it and be stuck with it. This isn't a store that cares about customers. This is a store of an owner with a poor business model and probably a grumpy ego. I may have put my other stuff back, but I found a duck okay? I wanted the duck. I needed this duck. Hate to give this place any money but, it was priced at 3.99, I could muster up 3.99 and save the duck. This little guy had a goodwill sticker that said 2.99. But... wait... when we went to the register, their sticker was magically gone. I asked how much they the duck was. Already wondering how much I'd squander for this poor duck. They debated whether to charge me what was already priced by goodwill (that they scribbled out) or up charge me...... Literally a preposterous suggestion. After walking an hour through this ghastly place and playing "guess the price" and trying to up charge me for my sweet duck sent me over the edge. I asked them, "how do you even pick prices for stuff?" She said, "we charge half of the retail price" Then I asked, what about the pitiable 2000 sweaters from 24 years ago? How do you know that retail price today? And how can you charge half for something two decades old? It's not vintage...it's someone's trash at this point. They had no answers. They must know the insanity behind the business model... I've attached some fun photos for yall to browse. You may need to put some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to dilute the spookies you're about to see.

There is a wide variety…read moreof items ranging from vintage to newer styles so if you're willing to spend more money, there is something for everyone. I go here for the books, games, and decor. There is cute decor for 5-10 dollars which is a steal to me! And occasionally I can find a good deal on a clothing piece but rarely! Considering that almost all of the reviews mention expensive prices, they should highly consider lowering prices because more people would shop there.
