While there are definitely some treasures and deals to be found, it's ultimately a downgrade in quality from the previous location, at least at the current time. I also want to note that despite loudly advertising that "all clothing is $2.98," they have a section at the front of higher priced clothing items. I admit I think this is a rather duplicitous business practice. It also seems random what clothes are put up there. Some of it was the same fast fashion that infests the rest of the clothing racks, while some finer materials and true vintage was languishing on the $2.98 racks. It just didn't make sense to me! It's worth a stop if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for Frugal's.

The items are discounted and most things are really good quality. Last time I was there we got a 25 lb kettlebell for $20, some named brand face cream that was $4, and my husband got some Monster headphones he was really excited about for $40. Unfortunately when we got back to our family's house only one headphone worked. We took it back and I was pleasantly surprised that the return process was seamless. We will continue to go back when we are in town and see what deals we can find.

I think some prices are good but others aren't that great so you have to be ready to spend some time looking. It's just not very organized. Maybe they try but it's not. But when you run across something you really want, that's fun! One huge issue is no dressing rooms. They say you can return but it's about a 40 minute drive for me each way so it would be much better if I could try on before I buy. The last time I was there, I literally got in the corner of the store and tried on everything over my clothes and my partner took a photo so I could get an idea of what it looked like on me even with my clothes underneath. I got paranoid at one point because they have a lot of plain clothed security in there and I was worried they might think I was up to something but I was rather conspicuous so I'd be a really stupid criminal. Lol BUT, I liked everything I tried on so that's a positive for Cargo Largo! I also had an item in my cart with a red sticker on it as a markdown. The item was still about $30 but it rang up for over almost at $50. The guy ringing me up looked it up by the date they received it (May of 2025) and said the price on the ticket was wrong so he called over the manager. At first she told me she wouldn't honor the price on the ticket but then she said she would. I thanked her and I got the idea she really had to go by this date system but that's not cool. If you make an error, you should honor the price. And you've had the item in your store for 5 months so reducing it $15 to sell it isn't crazy. Again, in the end I got it for that price and I appreciate the manager's help, but it was a bit embarrassing having to feel like I'm haggling when the tag clearly stated that price. If it weren't for that incident, the lack of dressing rooms, and the intimidating presence of the security (you can definitely spot them even in plain clothes), I would rate them higher. I'll still go back because I do find cute things there.

I also love that they will come to your house to pick up any furniture that you want to donate but can't bring in yourself. They also have sales daily and post a calendar so you know what is on sale when. Clothes sales days can get very hectic! That being said I don't like donating too much here, as I feel they price items awfully high for people on limited incomes. It seems like they cater more to people with money who are just looking for a good deal. I prefer to take clothes to places that give it away to low income people. I know they take the money they make and help a lot of people in the community, so that's great, but I just wish some of the prices in store were a little more affordable. They don't have appropriate rules regarding returning items to their appropriate bins…read more It's frustrating to dig through clothes gets poked, stabbed, scratched by junk people were too lazy to return to the appropriate bin. They have rules about touching others carts, but not rules about them needing to be placed by outside walls so not to be in high traffic areas. Getting in the way of everyone shopping. But you're not allowed to move them. Do not take pictures or video or you'll be asked to leave. The staff is nice regardless, and helpful when you have questions about checking out. The area surrounding is sketchy af, and you need to be mindful until you're at the outlet and back on the interstate. Do not go to that JET gas station.

There are lots of great things to be found here but they're entirely dependent upon luck. You might come for days and find nothing good, then find something amazing in the first 10 minutes another time. Be prepared for dubious substances, slime, broken glass, and lots of garbage. Wear gloves if you think you need them. Be prepared for people to shove you out of the way to get something they want or, alternatively, stand 3 inches away and give you the stink eye while you dig through a bin they want to look in. As other reviewers have said, the people working there often just make up prices. This can sometimes work out in your favor but often leads to overpaying, especially if they make you weigh the cart. Whatever weight they have put in for the carts is not accurate at all and will lead to you paying extra 99 times out of 100. Seriously, this place is not for the faint of heart. Or nose. If you're a hardcore thrifter looking for your next treasure, it's absolutely worth the visit. Just make sure you bring some hand sanitizer!
