Savers Thrift absolutely deserves five stars! This is the only thrift store I've ever seen with self-checkout, which makes the whole experience fast and convenient. The store is incredibly clean, well organized, and easy to shop in--no digging through messy racks. Prices are fair, the selection is great, and everything feels well maintained. Dropping off donation items here always goes very smoothly. They are super kind when dropping off items as well. They are quick and always have a receipt on hand and ready to hand it to you without you having to ask. I can't speak of the store itself only the donation drop of spot. read more

I don't even know where to start. THE WORST "THRIFT STORE" BY FARRRR. The prices? Diabolical. Jeans are no less than $20 going all the way up to $60. Any jacket is at least $20. You can find almost anything cheaper online than what they sell for. The workers? Mmm some are nice but the older lady with orange hair? Probably the rudest worker I've been interacted with. I've been thrifting here for over 5 years and have had countless interactions with her. From backhanded statements to just her straight up ignoring me when I smile or say hi. Suit smirky and always is in a terrible mood. Also there is always people waiting there all day for the new stuff to come out so good luck finding anything cool here lol. Everything has already been looked through and most valuables are behind the counter at more then they sell online for or they also put stuff in bundles and back door them so they can get more money. This savers is pretty pricy. I've never found an item (besides books) that is under $5. However, they do sift through their clothing and only sell name brand items. If you are wanting nice clothes, this is your place. But be prepared to pay around $10-14 for a shirt or pants. Their kid section is the worst. I hate that they group all their toys in bags (most of the time it's random) and you have to buy the entire bag even if you wanted just one item. The staff is very friendly and helpful though and I do like that you can bag up your own stuff. read more

If I could give less stars I would. Horrible staff. You take in a return they take it out of the sack lose the tag. Then worried more a out another customer trying to return an i returnable item. Then the other needs a break and worrying about world of war craft and d&d wearing ridiculous ears rather then the god dam customers. And second of all those are used and donated clothes why the heck are you charging that much it's just ridiculous! Probably the worst shipping experience I've ever had at a savers and it was only due to the staff. My first time in, I meant to do a quick run in since I knew they were closing but I had 10mins. The employee at the glass case was very professional and polite and helped my family look at some items. I grabbed my items and just wanted to do a quick walk through in the back. Another employee said I had to go to the front but I mentioned I still had 5 minutes. She said it was 6:55, so I reminded that left me 5 minutes as they had just stated over the intercom. She just sighed and walked away. Once at the counter they told me I had to wrapped it up and check out so I didn't have time to make sure all the disc I was buying were in the case so I put half my items back and said I understood that they didn't want my money and bought only 12 items and put back the 18 other I wanted to get. The other employee at the front said they needed to sanitize the store, not sure why I needed to know that info. Besides the staff make my experience horrible, the location is easy to find, plenty of parking. Everything was organized and they offered great items. I credit the stars only to the cute finds and how organized the clothes and items were at this location. We had a cashier that was sitting on the cashier counter talking to her co workers and proceeded to ask us to put away our own hangars. I get it may be store policy but the fact that she had her back facing guests, sitting on the cashier counter, then telling us to put away our own hangars makes this establishment seem like they encourage lazy employees. Once she rang up my items and i stuck my card in I asked if they did military discounts, she said yes but it was too late to add it as she already rang me up. My card didn't read properly so i had to stick it in again, at that point she should have applied the discount then but she didn't. Managers should do a better job at enforcing employee professionalism. read more

Super disappointed in this savers. I love savers, but the manager here really did me dirty. I found two pairs of adidas leggings that were exactly the same, just different colors, one was $3.99 and one was $12.99 so I asked why and if I could get them both for the $3.99 price, which usually thrift stores do that, ESPECIALLY because they get everything for free, and instead of doing that, he said they were both $12.99 so I couldn't even get the $3.99 marked pair for that price?!! For a thrift store their prices are ridiculously high. They took out their fitting rooms so I don't even bother looking at their clothes anymore. I used to go there once a week. Now I might go there once a month. They put self service check stands in that are confusing to operate in comparison to the ones in grocery stores. The store is very organized and clean, with helpful employees, however, I won't be returning to shop here. They have permanently removed their fitting rooms, while all the other thrift stores in the area are open. When I asked about their return policy, (since you can't try on anything in the store), they will exchange items for in-store credit within 14 days. If I need to take things home to try them on, they should offer a money return option. I'm bummed, but there are other great thrift stores in the area that I'll be going to now, which actually offer better prices on their items. read more

I worked there for a few months under a Supervisor named Justin who was a great leader a long with his boss Troy BUT the corporate of the business was far below normal. The training was horrible. You'd get thrown in to areas and be expected to know your job from day one. When we ran out of supplies like tape and tags, we'd have to wait for the shipment to come in from Amazon instead of just hitting up the local Staples store causing chaos in the workplace. The other production workers would throw hissy fits on a daily basis and scream and yell at everyone. Very negative vibes at this location. I would not work there even if the pay was good, which it isn't. Corporate needs to step in and do their job correctly. read more

Usually when I think "Lets go to the thrift store!" I'm expecting to get a good deal. :| Evidently this is no longer the case in the time of hispters and vintage love. I got a better deal buying new on sale items at JcPenney then it would have cost me at Savers and they didn't come accompanied with old cat lady smell. Well organized and somewhat clean, but prices were outrageous for USED and DONATED items. $8 for a 12 month sized dress that had a stain along the collar. EIGHT DOLLARS. That is not a deal, that is a rip off. Figured Halloween costumes would also be a good deal here. Or not. $30 was average. The selection was small. Not impressed. read more

Savers is a combination store of both thift store items and new items. They have an awesome Halloween costume selection! I like that they also donate to both MS and big brothers/sisters. Sad that they did away with the 99 cent Mondays. Wish they'd bring those back! read more

It's difficult to say that this has gone down hill fast, but it's true. I heard employees complaining about the new BOSS, and then I had a chance to interact with her. Wow. She was rude. I had asked a price of some chairs and a strollers that had just been dropped off. I'm a grandma. She gave me her price of 29.99 on each chair and $49.99 on the bike stroller pod thing. I thanked her and went to look at them a bit closer. the plastic wicker on the chairs (4ea) was broken in a few places and seemed brittle, the plastic enclosure on the stroller was again getting brittle and was very yellow and stiff. I declined her offer. She then went around the store commenting to other staff that they were not to lower the price "I have set a very fair price" she was saying very loudly. " and the lady (me) doesn't want them". Jeese, It's a store, I asked a price and that's all, I don't want them so leave it alone. Then another employee came back and said he had already priced those on his list at $4.99 each on chairs. She hollered across the store, I was waiting in line by now as I had moved on. Well she yelled at the guy that "you will have to change the price to $29.99 each. She is not getting them for $4.99." WTHeck? I did not have any intention of getting them after that as I would have to store them all winter and am not an expert at sewing new plastic into items or re=weaving chairs. PASS already! I used to like bringing my unneeded items here and replacing it with something i could use. I will go to the Goodwill around the corner. Who gives 98% of their profits to charity not the lousy 3% that Savers gives, Their Corp Mgr lives next to Bill Gates! Another good place is the Salvation Army in Ogden. good prices. I do love to that hidden deal. I visit this Savers at least 3 times a week. Its clean, friendly and they have a good selection. Colleen is great! HOWEVER, this place charges too much for some of their stuff. I have put stuff back realizing i could buy it brand new for the same price or just a few dollars more. That happens more often than not. The people who work there have no idea what they're talking about. I found this cute Juicy Couture sweater that didn't have a tag, so I asked the employees how much it is. One of them tells me that she can't tell me the price and that Juicy Couture has gone out of business, which is bs, so she asked me to hang it up. Went to Savers again today, here is what I saw 24.99 for a pair of Lee Riders shorts, which run 16.00 at retail stores. 10.00 for used bras-Victoria's Secret-but 2010. 35.00 for a pair of name brand jeans-looked inside at the tag-they may have been 100.00 in 2008. We asked if they had any full length mirrors and they suggested we go to Walmart. Their prices have me so angry I will Never, ever buy or donate to them again. They are worse than a pricey consignment shop, but they got their stuff for free. read more

It seems wrong to complain about a second hand store, but it's still a place of business and certain standards of a retail store should be followed. I used to enjoy going into this store and finding that special top or cute statue and feel like I was getting a "great deal". Well, not anymore. All the prices have gone up, they can't guarantee their electronics and have a no return policy. When they forget to take down expired sale signs, they won't honor the sale, instead run around the store and pull down the signs. When there is a line at checkout, they will not call another checker until there is a certain number of people in line. (store policy) Even though there are 5 workers doing nothing, hanging out over in the corner. I have watched more people put down their things and walk rather than wait. I have been one of them. Best thrift store ever! We stop here every time we pass through the SLC area. We found beautiful plates, really nice luggage pieces, and some cute sheets. My brother found a bunch of fun sweaters, too. The staff were friendly and the place doesn't smell musty like most thrift stores. I thought the prices were fantastic compared to what we have to deal with in Portland. I love you, Savers! Never change. read more
