Let me start by saying I have been a regular shopper at Savers for years and years. I love the way the store is organized and the clothes are displayed by size. Most other stores organize their clothes by color which is incredibly stupid from the shoppers view point. I have bought many thousands of dollars of items here in my years of shopping and have even re-sold great special items on eBay for a profit. I have traveled from out of town (four hours away) just to shop at Savers. When I moved from my house of 15 years, I donated many, many truck-loads of items to Savers. The last couple of shopping trips to Savers, I have been so disappointed in the high prices I find there, the crummy Membership "rewards", the getting worse every time "reward" for donation and then on my last trip, I find that now they are charging for bags. When I shop at Savers, I usually spend at least $100 and usually carry out 3 to 5 bags of clothing and items. It is incredibly annoying to have to pay for bags when I purchase a number of items. Please don't think that I am suggesting that the few pennies that Savers pays for my bags is taking food out of some child's mouth per their "charity" donations. Everyone needs to understand that this is a money-making business concern and the charity tie-in is a "come-on" for customers. Savers has an incredible business model for making huge profits. Think of the fact that the inventory at Savers is DONATED......items come in free to the Savers Corporation. There certainly is a cost of sorting the items, pricing them and putting them out on the racks for sale, but I doubt whether any of the employees are making large salaries. And then we customers come along and because something is cheaper than full retail, we will plunk down our money without question like sheep thinking we are getting the deal of the century. The prices on items at Savers have skyrocketed the last couple of years. On my most recent shopping trip to Savers, I was totally disbelieving some of the pricing I saw. Prices upwards to 75%-90% of full retail on well-known Walmart lines. I usually buy jeans at Savers because I can usually find something that will fit my weird body shape. Jeans have gone up from $3 and $4/pair for basic jeans up to $10-$15/pair for nothing special jeans. As I was driving away from Savers on this past shopping trip, I said to myself, "that is the last time I will waste my time shopping here". The charge for bags for your merchandise and the huge rise in prices has completely turned me off. What used to be a great place to get a great bargain is now a rip-off. I used to like going to savers for the good deals . But the last 3 times I went the same cashier always gives me and family a hard time..the first time she hassled us was because the ATM card ran as credit and didn't ask us for a pin. But because it didn't ask for a pin she had to make us look stupid and stop all progress and call the manager and when the manager got there he said they're all good ..there's no problem. Then the next time we went ..I found a fancy vase sitting on the floor up front next to the display case. When I got it and went to pay for it she assumed that I changed the price tag.. and yanked the tag off all mad and said that's not the right price. I responded by saying I didn't change the price ..she said all rude I didn't say you did. And she called for a price check and they said it was like 15 dollars more than the tag ..so I didn't buy it ..then this same cashier never tells us about the rewards or if we even have a bonus. The one time I didn't get her as a cashier the lady was friendly and said that we have 3 rewards that we haven't used . And that's from spending 300+ But yeah this particular cashier doesn't even let us know anything . And today I found an old wooden crate..and it had a tag of 3.99 and when I got to the cash register I unfortunately ended up on this same blonde . And of course once she saw it was me and my family again she snatched the tag from the crate and said " that's not the right tag " . I need a price check. And she didnt even ask a manager or someo d that knows what the item is. The girl came from the fitting room area and looked at the crate and said 4.99 So they held us up for like 10 minutes to make me feel like a thief . Why would I drive 1 hour to go shopping just to switch a tag to save a dollar. I tell them that this happens to me everytime I get her as a cashier , her friend says no it happens when it's busy. I felt like saying yeah it's so busy ..there was only 4 other customers in the store and it was almost 9pm ..yeah real busy . She only harrasses me when it's slow and we're the only ones in line . I doubt they're gonna stop everything with 4 people in line and take like 10 minutes to do a price check to gain a dollar if the line was busy. What's crazy is that were regular customers who spend hundreds throughout the month ..I drive an hour just to get there to buy their broken piece of junk items expecting to get good service not to be treated like a thief. They should focus on actual thieves running off with items...but no they would rather harrass paying customers patiently waiting and prepared to pay at the register. And if they're having problems with people switching tags on items well then they need to find a way to catch it during the day and resticker it way before it reaches the register. But I don't have to worry I will not be spending one more dollar at the Carlisle store..they should focus on moving the items and getting the items sold and out the door ...not harassing regular customers to gain 1-2 dollars...just sell the item morons. read more

This is a really good thrift store! Their clothing selection is massive and well organized. You can find alot of good basics and name brand items. You have to really search to find the eclectic/vintage stuff though but that's like every thriftstore. This is also the best place to buy books second hand the selection is great and the books themselves are in good shape. read more

I have frequented Savers in Henderson & Las Vegas Nevada. This store exceeds them for choice layout and segregation of items . Kudos

Although I have found good deals here and they're organized for the most part, the prices are strange and confusing. For example you can have the exact same shoes in different sizes, one will be $2.99 & the other will be $9.99. There's no rhythm or reason to the pricing and it's frustrating. Also the children's clothing Should be grouped by size but again it's confusing because it's not and prices are weird. Hard to shop there with small children. And the exchange policy I hate. You only have 7 days for an exchange. I live 45 min from there and only go into abq once a week. read more

Found a Columbia ski jacket, double zippered, with hidden zippers, awesome color and in great condition, then I turn around and found LL Bean boots with good grips on bottom, all in time to hit the east coast in winter, what a find, so grateful for these guys! read more

Exceptionally organized so you really don't feel as though you're visiting a swap meet. Mondays are purple ticket items for .99 so get here early as I spotted very few. They also apparently have card holder specials? Whatever that is, we mentioned it within earshot of the cashier but she didn't offer explanation... read more

Savers is just great. nice to go when you have a lot of time to spend so you can sift through all the options to find something on point. Sometimes I'll go on a sale day (even when there's not a sale things are def affordable) and I'll get like 5 shirts and 3 pants for around $25 bucks. Most the time Im glad about what I get. If after a couple wears I decide I don't like the fit of something or what have you, I don't feel bad donating it back because the overall buy was way worth it. Hell ya savers! read more

I have been de-cluttering over the past few months. I have taken TONS of very nice and expensive things to Savers. I took a vacuum and a box of clothes a few days ago and the guy at the drop-off was so rude. He said I was blocking some handicap ramp when I pulled my car around the side and told me, very disrespectfully to move. There was no one around, at all, it was 10am. I had shut my car off and was in a hurry and this was a small load. So I declined and basically made him take the 2 items. He didn't thank me. Didn't offer me any sort of respect or gratitude. Gave me dirty looks, told me we'd both agree that next time I'd pull my car up further. This isn't at the entrance it's a SIDE DOCK FOR DROPPING OFF DONATIONS. There's a handicap ramp AT THE FRONT DOOR. I called the manager and he said he would address the issue but I can't shake how I was treated when I was donating so many great items. The same day I was donating a flat screen TV and ended up going elsewhere, as I will from here on out. Very sad to be treated poorly when you're donating items. read more

Fantastic place with good section and good prices. Definitely worth strolling around and finding yourself some good deals.

This is NOT the place to buy any kind of untested electronic equipment. I thought I had a great find, only to bring the item home to find out I bought a brick filled with circuit boards. They made clear that they don't do returns, but I know I heard them say that items could be returned for store credit. Which actually turned out to mean "In store-same-day-exchanges only". They have a big selection of clothing available, but everything else is garbage that you are on the hook for if it turns out to be broken, and I can guarantee you they sure as heck don't test the equipment before they throw it on their shelves. read more

It is so nice to enter a clean store with racks that your can look through. The men's sections is very well organized and easy to see what they have in pants selections. Always friendly clerks willing to help with what you might need. read more
