This Goodwill is large, modern, clean and well air-conditioned. Needless to say there's lots of clothes here and all men's and women's pants tend to be priced at between seven and eight dollars. Pretty much all the clothing in this place is between $4-$8 with the exception of some fancy garments on the side of the store which can be in the teens and 20's. They have tons of DVDs, CDs, and a fairly good selection of books. They have five large shelves worth of glassware, knickknacks, and lots of shoes to choose from as well. One thing you keep in mind, if you need to use the bathroom, you'll have to ask the key from the front end. They do not have color tag days or senior discount days anymore. read more

I have to say I am super surprised at the negative reviews. But I know one persons junque is another's treasure. Best finds: a Coach backpack for 49.99 (plus remember if you buy online you pay sales tax and probably shipping), a super cool Day of the Dead weird figure for 4.99 (I love me some weird), a handmade huge wood frame for 7.99 for crafting/project, and some other cute and wearable things. During this covid pandemic I give a lot of credit to the employees at Goodwill. thank you for your service....and patience. read more

Nice. Clean. A variety of items. Reasonable but not super prices. Dressing rooms are locked and nobody came to open them.

They don't have dressing rooms and are difficult about taking returns. Not worth the bother.

I don't want to give my secret away..but this thrift shop is the best! They always have really great baby/kids used stuff! I have gotten so many really good kids books for $.99! They are all in good condition too! I recently even got a play kitchen for $11! Yay! read more

One of the cleaner, more organized Goodwills. Plus it's in a fancier part of town, so the rich folk drop off their unwanted stuff. I have a very methodical way of shopping at thrift stores and find great deals because of it. I tend to judge people on the basis of if they will shop thrift stores. And it can't be "that one time, for that party in college"-- I mean do you frequent thrift shops? If so, then you're all right in my book. This location has jewelry, vintage, shoes, movies/records/music, anything you may want. I find the designer section useful and the shoes. Stop by and don't get taken advantage of by regular prices. It's worth it. Maybe I should hold a seminar or something. read more

Probably the best Goodwill store of its kind in Albuquerque. I hear that you get some specialty items that I've been looking for although they didn't have it today and some nice brand name clothing. Large department store feel and friendly staff with nice fitting rooms to try things on. I did find a few treasures here today. Although I and Men shoes in good condition are always very rare. I'm adding this location to my circuit of the thrift store hunts. read more

I had very much enjoyed going to the Goodwill store on Holly Ave until the last two times, which have been very upsetting. A few weeks back, I lost some knitting on circular needles that was inside a ziploc bag. There was about $25 worth of 100% Alpaca yarn in the bag, along with a pair of #6 needles from a set. I traced the loss back to the Goodwill Store; I likely dropped it at the register when I took my wallet out of my backpack. When I went back to the store to ask whether they had a Lost and Found, they looked at me like I was nuts. The manager said to me, "If it's here, it's probably on a shelf waiting to be sold." (!!!!) Apparently, anything that anyone happens to drop inside the store (as opposed to in the donations area outside) is fair game. Of course, it wasn't there. It had likely been sold. Then today, I stopped by the store to look for a winter coat, because mine is getting worn. I found a great coat in the perfect size, but it didn't have a price tag on it, so I asked one of the employees (a young bearded man) if he could tell me the price. He went to the back to find out. I waited patiently for him, and when I found him and reminded him about the coat, he looked at me as though he'd never seen me before and told me that he'd put the coat back on the rack, where another customer had found it and decided to buy it. Who does that? I asked for the price and he should have come over and told me. It was so disappointing, and he took no responsibility for the mistake when I told him what had happened. It didn't seem to matter to him at all. I might as well have been talking to a wall. I have spent hundreds of dollars at the Holly Ave store, and I've donated hundreds of dollars in goods, but unless they take some responsibility and make all this right, I will never go back. read more

Came here for the first time and was pleased with the cleanliness and organization of it. I found some really fun vases and a cute purse. The only problem I have is nothing is sorted by size. Maybe that doesn't bother most, but it's something I'm OCD about. They do have them organized by color, which is catchy to the eye. Nothing was just laying on the floor and the cashier was very polite. I'll be back here. read more

I'm thrifting today instead of homework!! :) The Goodwills here in ABQ are smaller and have less stock than what I'm used to. If I have a specific thing i need to buy (say, a white blouse. Or an orange scarf) I find that I have to hit up two Goodwills. There isn't one well-stocked one that just magically has that one, random thing you happen to need. I usually go to this store and maybe one other en route to another errand. That being said, the Goodwills are spacious and clean, prices are reasonable, I have eventually found each thing I needed, AND I of course find tons of stuff I had no idea I needed!! :) read more

This place is a treasure trove! Very diverse and high quality selection of all sorts of items. The store is super clean and pleasant. I found a beautiful embroidered real suede, lined jacket with stylish embroidery for $7.99. Excellent condition. My friend scored a toffee colored soft as butter pair of jeans with the $98 tag still on them. Be prepared to spend some time browsing through the clothes, as they are organized by color, not size. I like how organized the place is, especially the book section. I came hoping to find some used door knobs, but didn't find any. But, I did find a nice white t-shirt, but it was about $3. I thought that was a lot for a plain white tee, I would pay that price for a t-shirt with a design or so, since everything they get is all donated from the public. read more

Cleanest thrift store I've ever visited in my life! Also, air conditioning is kicking strong so if you don't have it at home, go there. Great original framed artwork and got a Teutonic literature vintage poetry book as well. read more

Beware of this goodwill. I shop at goodwill's all over. I was checking out at the goodwill at 7120 Holly Ave. in new mexico when I noticed the cashier was charging me higher prices than what was posted on their signs... I asked and she said if a tank top was nice that they would charge a higher price (count it as a blouse)? I had a tan and white striped tank top and she charged me almost double the price. I told her and the manager if they were going to charge a higher price than what was posted on their sign (tank tops $2.99) then they should at least put an individual price on the item to warn the customer... the "head manager" told me "that he did not need to be told how to run his business" !! I told him that he did if he was cheating his customers!! Beware when shopping at this location... they charge higher prices than the signs display... I cannot help but wonder just how many people they have cheated out of money and how much money!! I will not shop here again... please note i spend a lot of money at thrift stores so I am very familiar with how the honest ones work.... they put prices on items when they are going to charge more - that way the customer can decide if they want to pay the higher price. that is the honest and fair way to "run a business" especially a "not for profit organization"... just saying... read more

This is a very solid Goodwill store. There are tons of clothes here and a big shoe selection. The prices are very good. I found a couple high quality biking tops for six bucks a piece that were easily $50-$70 retail. Not a big jewelry selection. Not a ton of toys and stuff either. read more

Went to Goodwill on Paseo Del Norte in Albuquerque to make some item donations. We have been going there to make donations as long as it has been there. Never had a problem until today. There were two women there emptying cars and putting away peoples donations. The first woman was so rough getting the items out of my car I had to stop her because I thought she was going to damage my car. When we turned around to help unload the second woman took a large box of breakable items and dumped them in a huge box. The noise of all the breakables shattering was horrifying. I had just cleaned out my mother's house. She passed away and I thought someone might enjoy some of here collectibles. My family will NEVER be going back to this store. We will find another place that will take our donations and HANDLE THEM WITH CARE. read more

Today, 5/22/2018, I visited the goodwill located at ​7120 Holly Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113 somewhere between 2 and 3 pm. I have been visiting a lot of thrift stores lately looking for used math text books. What I witnessed at this location was extremely appalling. The books where located at the front, far left side of the store. I immediately walked over only find that there was no organization to the books at all. Some of them where upside down, which made it hard to scan titles. Many had several goodwill stickers placed right over the title. However, the most alarming fact was that every book was mixed up together. You had sex education books right next to children books. There were cooking books and fiction books everywhere. I could not find a single text book or continuing education book. I do not think the reason was because this location didn't have any. I think it's because I became frustrated trying to read all the titles of the non-stop romance novels. I saw a few employees just standing around, walking aimlessly or waiting for customers to come up to the registered. I asked a passing young man for a manager. A very very older woman appeared, claiming to be the manager. I pointed to a few books and asked why the stickers where covering the book titles. She just looked at me, so I made the comment that the books appeared to be randomly put on shelves. She repeated me, stating that the books were just placed on the shelves. I asked her why, making the comment of my frustration. The manager told me that they are understaffed and what staff they do have, does not have time to sort books. Her answer was rude and not appropriate in a customer service setting. I let her know that I would be writing this email and walked away. Several thrift stores, including other goodwill locations find the time to sort their products. If you cannot find the time to make your products easy to sort through, I suspect you will be holding onto them longer. I did not purchase anything from this location and honestly, I will not be visiting this store again. I will be posting a yelp review after this so that other shoppers know that this location doesn't have time to organize their merchandise. Thank you for this experience. read more

What happened to the friendly staff? A few months ago I was being greeted while walking into a clean organized store. They recognized me as one of their regulars. Quite possibly the worst Goodwill I've ever been to. Unorganized and sloppy. The employees are the worst- indescribably rude and surly. They come in three styles- insulting, ignoring, or generally pissed off. I'm not expecting white-glove service, but at least have the decency to call me an idiot behind my back instead of to my face, as most retail workers do. read more

I shop here often as i work nearby and today when i came in - i purchased a crib sheet set. I paid and noticed the cashier charged me the wrong price. I asked her - the kid's bed sheet price is the same as adults? she said, yes. I cashed out and walked over there to check the prices on the wall and sure enough - the kids sheets are $1.99 not $2.99. I went back to the cashier and asked for a manager. i told her she charged me incorrectly and she wasn't very happy that i was asking for the right price. The cashier next to her asked what was going on and the cashier told her what was wrong and she rolled her eyes like i was making a big deal out of nothing, When all was said and done, i got my refund of $2.00 but the employees were acting dumb. Really? When you go to a store and they over charge you - you don't ask for the correct prices? Hmmm. I used to spend a lot of money there but I probably won't be going back. Train your employees to give good customer service is all i have to say. read more
