I really wanted to rate Severina higher, but the experience was uneven. Service time dragged more than it should have. I'll give credit where it's due though--the appetizers were the highlight. The green mussels and the Caesar salad were genuinely good and set the bar high at the start. The pizza is where things went sideways. The first one was delayed because it was burned. The second attempt still came out semi-burned and didn't look or taste as appealing as expected, especially after the wait. I also ordered a spicy mezcal margarita. There was nothing spicy about it, and the presentation was plain at best. For a cocktail with mezcal and heat in the name, I expected more intention behind it. Atmosphere is decent. Medium lighting, plenty of space, and good potential for private dining. That part works. The service itself was polite and very apologetic about the delays, which I appreciated. That said, I would have liked to see a bit more management involvement checking in on the table to see how the rest of the experience landed. Overall, it lands around a 3.5 to 4 stars for me. Some strong flavors, but consistency and attention to detail need work

Avocado toast, banana bread, eggs in a hole, potatoes

The food was all delicious, everything is well made and well balanced with layers of flavor. Highly recommend the egg in a hole and the avocado toast. They were a bit under staffed and needed more servers as the Bloody Mary came out late. Also, the Bloody Mary was chunky and spicy as a warning! The place itself is cute and the ambiance is warm and lovely.

Used my chase Edit and hotel credit for the first time to stay at the Kimpton (they stack!), which comes with breakfast credit. Can't skip a free breakfast! I got the ancient grains to fuel before a long day of hiking, and my partner got the eggs in a hole. Mine was simple and good! My partner would've preferred a more traditional eggs in a hole with non fried bread, but the flavors were great! I tried it and really liked it. Our waitress was very kind, and our orders came pretty quickly. Would recommend if you're staying at the Kimpton or in the area!

Came here for breakfast three times while staying at the hotel and the service, ambience, and most of all food were top-notch. I wanted to try different things so I got two savory meals and one sweet one. The white bean stew was tremendous and a little spicy. The oatmeal felt like I was doing something good for my body and the avocado toast was delicious. Also tried their bacon. On the crispy side which is white I like.

What an amazing spot! The atmosphere is perfect. Plenty of bar space, live music at times, open kitchen, and more! Don't skip the sourdough focaccia or pizza. Our server was amazing too! Wish I could remember her name.

Stellar service and the best breakfast! Stayed 2 nights and I missed breakfast the second morning due to an early flight and regretting not being able to stay for breakfast. It was the most peaceful experience with perfectly cooked cuisine from the eggs, to the potatoes and onions. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and it will be my go to breakfast the next time I'm in the DTC area!

Oh my goodness I love the new menu!! The Panzanella salad, frito mito, branzino, the hibiscus daydream are all awesome food & drink choices. Bonnie & Cole provided awesome service and the timing of the food by the kitchen staff was impeccable!!! I think they've found their rhythm since opening up July 2024!! I spend so much time on the weekends in Saverina I forgot this place has a rooftop!!! The atmosphere was soothing that I ended up taking desert to go!!!

The restaurant shared its lobby with the Kimpton Claret Hotel, which looked nice and modern, but the dining area itself has a vibe similar to average business hotel, mainstream, not overly formal or fancy. Perhaps because it's newly opened, the menu was quite simple. Beyond wood-fired pizzas, it offers burgers, salads, and a few pasta dishes. Both pizzas and pasta were made fresh in house. For lunch, there are five pizza options, with customizable toppings available; four entree choices; and three pasta selections and two salads. No soups or desserts though. Dinner options were similar but with more varieties and larger portions. Ordered the classic brisket ragu and a Wagyu burger with salad. Though desserts weren't available, the server kindly offered a yogurt-strawberry angel food cake from the hotel's room service, so ordered a cup of locally roasted coffee to complement the dessert. The pasta sauce was well balanced, neither too acidic nor salty. The brisket was tender and flavorful and the pasta was smooth and chewy. The Wagyu burger had a coal smoked flavor and rich meatiness, with tender, juicy patties that weren't overly dense. Overall, the food here was tasty and pretty good, though the menu options felt somewhat limited. It would be great if they can add soups, desserts, and french pressed coffee to the menu to make the dining experience more complete in the future. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Kimpton Claret Hotel.

I gotta say, the service staff was incredible! From the GM to the chef to Megan- our server!! Everyone was accommodating and kind! This newer restaurant has a cozy, modern twist to your typical Italian restaurant. We were there today for Mothers Day brunch so the menu was specialty one and - WELL DONE! Modest selection but well chosen as there were several types of protein, great variety of savory and sweet to help satiate any taste! The cocktails were light and refreshing and delicious!! I would LOVE to come back for regular service and recommend giving this place a try for a tasteful menu of perfectly cooked, well seasoned and a very reasonable variety!!

Great food in an elegant setting -- perfect for lunch or dinner! The staff throughout the Kimpton, from the valet to the table servers, was absolutely wonderful. The cocktails were on point (margarita was my favorite), the wine list included excellent unique and classic options alike, and the food was fantastic. Some of my favorites included: - Fresh mozzarella with tomatoes and chili crunch (one of the best appetizers I've had) - Crispy baby artichokes - White corn ravioli & heirloom tomatoes with white truffle and brown butter -- so much great flavor! - Roasted chicken under a brick was some of the most tender, juicy, flavorful chicken I've had - The fresh caught halibut itself was super tender and moist, but be warned: the menu doesn't mention that the mashed potatoes are made in some sort of classic Italian style with a cod product, and they're super fishy. I would order a different side instead if you can, like the below: - The sides of baby carrots and blistered snap peas were a welcome and delicious respite from the usual sides of spinach or asparagus you see in every steakhouse

Restaurant inside a hotel. Tried the Denver Restaurant Week menu. Great value for the money. The pork chop was good but just slightly on the tough side. The filet lacked the quality of a prime cut. We did enjoy the beet salad and bolognase. Also added a woodfired 4 cheese gluten free pizza that my wife loved. I was not a fan. It certainly is worth a try.

Ancient Grain Oatmeal & Chicken Parm Sandwich

Ancient Grains Oatmeal & chicken parm sandwich. The music was great, service was great, and the interior design was I loved that the ancient grains oatmeal tasted healthy and it was not sweetened. Next time I would ask for some maple syrup on the side to sweeten it to my liking. You could tell the almonds were freshly roasted. Also the chicken parm sandwich was SO GOOD 10/10

The Baked Fresh Caught Halibut (flown in fresh daily) was served with heirloom tomatoes, thyme, & extra virgin olive oil.

We ended up ordering a bunch of different items that would match all the different tastes we all had. Our server recommended 3 meat orders for the 6 of us, as well as 7-8 sides/appetizers. She was absolutely correct about portions and ordering. There was so much to choose from, but the highlights for me was the carne asada with chimichurri, Colorado lamb, twice baked mashed potatoes, shrimp ceviche, jalapeno cornbread muffins, and the seasonal vegetables. Really, everything was very good, but these were the most tasty to me. We ordered off of the happy hour menu, which runs from 5-6pm daily and does have some good deals. The majority of our order was off the dinner menu. Those in my group really liked the cocktails they ordered as well, but at times they waited 20 minutes for their drinks. Our waitress was very knowledgeable but had her hands full with many tables so we did not always get the best attention. Overall, I really liked Work & Class and would like to revisit their menu soon - as it changes pretty regularly.

Yelp's weekly suggestions are some spot-on and timely. Had it not been for one of them I recently…read morereceived, I don't think I would discover this hidden bar. Its overall chicness in a spacious lounge-style room immediately cooled me down once I arrived (on the day I visited after work, the temperature outside was soaring in upper 80's.) The time was around 4:45pm. If I am not mistaken, their happy hour is 3-5pm. I thought I was in the middle of the HH rush but there were still plenty of seatings available and yet the place was nowhere near empty. And yet, I found just the right spot so I would be away from all the chatters emitting from the people mainly sat at the bar. The selections for wine (red and white) as well as the tap beers are quite the variety. During the HH time, the drinks are only $5 for beer on tap, well mules, wells spirits and any wine on tap. For a chic/elegant/upscale place such as this place, this pricing offer is extremely generous. I simply couldn't think of anything other than refreshing cold white wine so after getting a little suggestion from my wonderful waiter, I went with the Angeline Sauvignon Blanc (the regular price is $12 so I saved $7.) As much as I am a wine person, I don't go by the rigid rules. White win should generally be served between 45°F and 55°F (7°C to 13°C) and yet at home I chill my (white) wine in the freezer for a bit so it will be super cold. This is a must for me. And to my surprise, when they served me the Sauvignon Blanc it was pretty close to the super chill temperature I am used to. As if they read my mind, I was quite surprised and happy with the cold crisp white wine. It was a quick stop to have a little "after work" cocktail on the way home so I didn't get any food and yet that crisp chilled white wine I was served instantaneously made me a big fan of this cocktail lounge. When I asked my waiter when the place opened. He said it opened in 2019. I simply couldn't believe it. If it's been around for this long but the fact that I recently heard about it stunned me. And if I am not mistaken, the waiter said that another location is about to open in a different area in the Denver metro. It's nice to know that this business is thriving. Good for them.

We were immediately sat on the patio around 5:45 PM. We were greeted and given "welcome bubbles". What a nice touch. After about 5 minutes, we were finally given menus. Other people were sat around us, so we waited to ask for the happy hour menu. We ordered the chef's choice charcuterie, a cocktail, and a glass of wine. The drinks and board were yum, but not quite a wine bar as there were very limited option by the glass. Also, we had to ask for plates and silverware where this is a basic item. While deciding on dinner, we were approached a couple times by the 2 servers in the section. One was friendly, the other, not so much, rather indifferent and made us feel a little uncomfortable and not very welcome. This kind of set the tone for the rest of our night. We ordered the "family share" chateaubriand. We realize this is an expensive cut, but the portion is definitely not a sharing cut, around 4 oz. It is closer to a single entree. When it arrived, the plate was cold, like the meat was lukewarm and the cauliflower was ice cold. Again, we had to ask for silverware and plates for this "family style shareable" plate. We brought the cauliflower temperature up with the server and got new cauliflower after we were done with the rest of the meal. Also, I sat with an empty wine glass and no one stopped to ask if I needed another glass. When the servers did stop by, it was a short interaction and we never even had a chance to ask before they were already walking away. We saw so many people come in and out that they must be doing something right, but for us, our experience was mediocre. If our meal would have been the correct temperature (it was well prepared, just cold) and better execution on the service, we may have had a better experience.
