I would caution, as other posters have mentioned, to check the expiration dates of anything you want to purchase, as I noticed lots of stock on the shelves was already expired. That might also mean even items marked with a later expiration date may not be as fresh as advertised. As with most authentic Asian markets (maybe ones not named H-Mart), it isn't the cleanest, nor does it smell that good, but you're not there to sleep or live, haha. The setting doesn't necessarily reflect on the quality of food, especially if it's packaged or sealed. I'd personally pass and try to find another Asian market, but if this location is the easiest or closest for you, especially given the paucity of Asian markets in Texas, it's not a terrible choice.

Recently I could not find a certain type of seaweed anywhere else but Komart had it. It's never crowded and service has always been helpful for me. I have not eaten at the little cafe. I always stop at Ajumma after Komart and get some kimbap or soondae to go.

There are English speaking people here (not a lot of them) however everyone does speak Korean which is fine by me because the staff were very very kind! Also, they do not sell fresh herbs or produce. Most of their food sold are packaged or frozen which come straight from Korea. They do have fresh meats and fish but I personally wouldn't buy meats here. All the fresh produce that they have like apples or Napa cabbage which aren't kept in coolers. They are on the floor around the open freezers which was odd because the store itself was not cold, it was warm throughout the store and I went here when it was 50 degrees outside. There array of numerous choices of frozen products are AWESOME! I will come back to buy dumplings and kimche and the selling point of this grocery store is that the prices are GOOD! for authentic imported Korean products, prices are so reasonable which is the best selling point of this place. I was in the area and I asked Gemini where the closest place to where I was that I could get an ice/food scoop. It told me US Foods Chef Store was the closest place to get one, so I made the trip! I was impressed at the selection and quality of the food items here, as I made my way to the ice/food scoops. While I was impressed at the food selection, I was not as impressed. They only had two sizes in stock, one was way bigger than I needed, and the other was too small to be useful to me, so I had to go back to Gemini to go get help finding my right size scoop!
