SavATree came out to grind a stump left by the City of Ft Collins. They were fast and efficient so I called them to cut a tree down in my side yard. It was very tall, in a small space and hung over my house and my neighbor's property. I was very nervous about the tree removal. The crew was on time, polite, worked hard and above all used every protocol to keep themselves and my family safe. This is an unscrupulous company. They're like the old Columbia Record & Tape club. I agree with the reviews here that note the switch from Swingle to SavATree, and the poor customer service. I ordered one year of service and did not renew--apparently they require us to notify them that we're not renewing, rather than an affirmative yes to continuing the business relationship. They trimmed some of my trees last winter, but I found lots of dead branches the following spring and summer. I waited until this winter for them to get trimmed again, and figured I was done with SavATree. They showed up recently and administered a treatment that I neither ordered nor was informed about in advance, and then charged me $200. I will surely advise all of my friends in Fort Collins and my neighbors in Greeley to avoid SavATree! read more

We had Colson Leingang, arborist, look at our evergreens, apple and pear trees. We told him what we wanted done, he looked at the trees and explained everything that he would recommend. He was very informative and seemed to care about our trees and their health He came with the crew and explained to them what was to be done. Everything was done just as he had told us. We are very pleased and will definitely use SavATree again. read more

We used Swingle Lawn Care for 3 years and loved them. Then they got bought by SavATree and that when we had horrible problems. Our yard stay to look Lomé green our trees were no longer lush and green but sick looking and a lime green color. They said it was nutrition that they needed. Had them do what they had to in order to bring our lawn and trees back to no avail. Then was told that it would take at least a year to see any improvement. Really? How can that be when SavATree was the one taking care of our yard. Would not take responsibility that it was their doing. Especially when we had them coming out every 2 months. Also, we had more weeds in our yard and constantly called them to come back out and treat. Just got to much to fight them and so we canceled them. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

Extremely bad customer service. They came out to do one service then never showed up or called when the next service was due. Cancelled the service and had to run around in circles to get correct refund amount. No apology just excuses. I got a different answer every time I called. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

Swingle is now Savatree. We had Swingle tree an ash tree at my mothers house 2 years ago. Then they just showed up in August and treated it again without any warning. My mother passed away in June. Sarah told me that when we did the first treatment we were automatically signed on for further treatment unless we canceled it. So they must just put it in the small print. They never verbally relayed that information. I'm not saying that their work is bad but if you call them for something make sure know know what you are signing up for. Maria R. read more

Our yard is a disaster after 2 years of Swingle/Savatree service. Soil tests from CSU show highs and lows of 3 different areas in the yard. Ph, lime, EC and organic material. Before this company destroyed our yard (hired to rid some weeds) a technician commented "beautiful yard". Not today! Asked 3 times for help, what happened? I had concern. No help. Blamed it all on pine needles and shade. I have had this lawn for 17 years. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. I was in Loveland when a car plastered with Swingle advertisement cut me off. The young man driving the car was actually on the clock but he didn't care. He was obviously angry that I was in his way apparently. So massive road rage ensued on his part. He flipped me of calling me a crazy A** "B****" and screamed at the top of his lungs FU.....then peeled away. Well then he ran 2 stop signs screeching out of the mall parking lot at a high rate of speed. I called the Fort Collins manager to let him know how his employee was behaving in company car. Manager has not called me back. I guess they don't care what out of control people they hire. This kind of person could be dangerous. I wouldn't want him on my property. I will never deal with this unprofessional company, and I got trees to trim! I should have filed a police report, but I thought the manager would at least reply. Got crazy road rage young mans license plate too! You would think someone would have enough common sense and brains to keep it under control at work........Maybe Swingle Save A Tree should tell their employees they shouldn't behave that way in a car plastered like a billboard! read more

If I were writing this review last year, it would be between a 4-5 star but this year it has been horrible. We signed up for the service since we had such great success last year. The company was purchased by Savatree and boy oh boy what a fiasco. Our first fertilizer/weed treatment never happened. We mowed, had gates moved and were ready for Swingle on the day they indicated they would be there. We called to confirm but questioned why we didn't do aeration first. Well...they never recorded that we called and hence no service. Called them late afternoon to find out where they were. They apologized and said they were bought out and that it's a new computer system. Give them another chance. Scheduled and they came. They told us they would give us a refund/credit for our first service. After a month (acutally 6 weeks), we saw no credit on our cc. They indicated that since the credit had to go through NY, that it would take at least a month. Neighbor uses Swingle and they had their lawn ready for aeration. We called and asked why we weren't included since we were next door. They couldn't answer and said they would get back with us. No call so we called back later in the day. Finally got connected with FC office and we asked about aeration and our credit. Brian indicated that the credit was waiting for the tree service that we might use them for. We told them that nobody had visited us re the tree service to give us a price. The war of words escalated and we told them that we wanted a refund. He said they would expedite the check to us. We told them to charge us for the first application even though they told us they would credit the amount. We waited over two weeks, and finally I worked with the credit company re a dispute. Of course, several days later the check arrived. I stopped the dispute. Perhaps after they work out the buy out things will be different but we were tired of having to call the company for a service that use to be simple and automatic. Too bad since we did like them a lot. :-( read more
