4 days straight we came here while staying at our Airbnb above, actually twice a day couple of times but it's the last experience that counts right? Ordered same as in every day and my bill was 20 extra? Asked why and was told she was charging me $14 each for basic 2 fried eggs and a sliced of sourdough for our 8 year old....I told her that we were charged 6 for that every day....she refused to believe and kept going on how it's impossible and I said...its 2 fried eggs for a kid, u want to charge more than DOUBLE than every time we've been here and instead of correcting it.... she starts interrogation of who it was and how they looked .....worst and worst, we canceled our orders and walked out! U took a great daily customer and turned a great experience into.....

Slice of super delicious chicken pot pie

This place is so good!! Located right by the water so nice views. Order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Had a slice of their chicken pot pie, kids had their French lentil soup, and hubby had the tofino club. The pot pie was amazing--super light buttery flaky crust and tasty warm filling, the French lentil soup was a hearty generous serving that the kids enjoyed, and the club was great with some pulled chicken (kind of like the stuff from the pot pie) and lots of crispy bacon and fresh lettuce, soft yummy bread. Topped it off with a slice of carrot cake which was good but in retrospect I should've had a slice of their regular pie--next time!!

Super cute yummy pie place tucked away at the tippy tip of Tofino. Nice selection of both savory and sweet pies. Hits that pie itch - yeah, own it, pie guy! Warm, inviting place on a cold winter day. Nice water views. A bit hard to find but worth the hunt.

    Carrot cake is devine!

Combine awesome desserts with a killer location and top it off with friendly and enthusiastic service and you get a winner (also a 5-star review). We had a great treat here to reward ourselves after our kayak tour. Brittany, our Aussie server, guided us through the choices of pies and cakes, where we settled on the raspberry rhubarb pie and the carrot cake. The pie was a perfect match of flavors without being overly sweet and the crust was perfectly flaky. The carrot cake had an unusual 2:1 ratio of cake to frosting (meaning a lot of frosting) but it worked out well, as the frosting also held back on the sugar and the cake was moist and flavorful. Our coffee drinks were equally delicious and we really enjoyed the view from the outside table.

First time here! Pie is great. Wonderful service and ambience if you want to relax and look at the amazing view

The granola and yogurt was so delicious!

One of my very favorite experiences while in Tofino, were my morning visits visits to Savory Island Pie with my Border Collie Portia. The oat milk latte's served in a welcoming porcelain cup were perfect, the tasty breakfast's from eggs, to avacado toast, to granola, berries and yogurt, the energy, the views and I can't forget the service. I was in Tofino from June 26, 2023 right after Highway 4 reopened until July 3. After the trek from Hornby Island to Tofino, my dog needed some beach time so we walked to McKenzie Beach where I ran into Annie and Freya. We chatted about our dogs etc... I mentioned I had just arrived in Tofino and it was my first time there. She mentioned a number of things I should do and that she worked at Savory Island Pie and I should check it out. I took Annie's recommendation and it became my favorite place in Tofino in the mornings and then Tofino Brewing in the afternoon. I love Savory Island Pie! It's so much more than pie! Thank you Annie!

I don't eat sweets, so wasn't sure if this was the place for me. Well, I was wrong. I came here three times during my nine night trip to Tofino. The chicken pot pie and the soup (spring pea) were both yummy. And the coffees are perfect. This is a place that cares a lot about the quality of its food and drink. The service was very friendly, and the views are AMAZING, to boot. Enjoy!

The food was fine, but nearly half the staff were not wearing masks in the kitchen and front of house.

The barista that took my order was friendly enough. I tried a sugar-free raspberry peach muffin and a chai latte. I really liked the muffin - it was dense but soft and very moist. Lots of juicy fruit. I will say that if "sugar-free muffin" is something that sounds appealing to you, you will probably like this, but if not, it's probably not for you because the texture was quite different from a regular muffin. But I liked the wholesome flavour. The chai latte was just the standard, but made well, with a very generous dusting of cinnamon. I got there shortly after they opened and just had to wait in a short line with my drink ready fairly quickly, but they were much busier by the time I was leaving. I think they take card payments now. I paid with cash, but I didn't see any cash only signs and I saw what I think was a card machine at the register.

We dropped in on a Thursday afternoon (around 1:15pm) and were greeted to a line out the door. Be prepared to wait; service is incredibly slow and inefficient. We were in line for half an hour and waited another 10 minutes for them to make our order. The menu is split into breakfast (only available to 1:00pm), grilled sandwiches (only available to 3:00pm) and hot drinks. They also have a small selection of pastries (bread, muffins, baklava (randomly) and tarts/cakes/bars). - Ham sandwich ($7.95) - at least the bread was toasted and the cheese melted. Other than that, decent but you could easily make something similar at home. I was still hungry afterwards. - Vegan hummus sandwich ($8.25) - the hummus was light and caramelized onions subtle. Same bread used in all their sandwiches. Not sure why the vegetarian option is pricier than the meat one. Cash only. Don't bother with CL.

My carnivorous bf gave it two thumbs up! The sandwiches are amazing, the salads have a ton of flavor from the different greens and flowers. The winning soup was definitely the special of the day: curry lentil soup with coconut milk. My father-in-law had the vegetarian chili in a real bowl, not a chintzy 1 cup serving. Personally, I like soup bowls big enough to drown myself in. The owner's dog, Pete, freely frolicked, charming everybody in sight. He may or may not let you have his ball to play fetch lol If you sit outside, you can see the rooster running around, keeping an eye on his many hens. (They are so fearless, it's like somebody TOLD them that it was a vegetarian restaurant.) I watched him do an equivalent of a back-hand (back-wing?) on one of the hens; I felt bad for her, poor thing. The service was great. Just pay the cafe server $10 if you want to tour the gardens, which I highly recommend doing. We will come back here for sure! If that rooster doesn't learn how to treat his ladies, I may have to come back with a fork and knife with his name on it ;)
