    Sesame Breakfast Bagel
    Sierra D.

Cute little coffee shop that seems to be family run. I ordered the Ham & Swiss sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the Sesame breakfast bagel. Slightly more expensive than most places for a breakfast bagel and sandwich ($8.95) and ($10.50) but makes sense in a small tourist town where there are limited options. Our food arrived quite quickly and tasted good. Would probably return next time we are in town, but that's probably also because there are limited options for breakfast.

    Caramel Macchiato Latte -($4.50)

Great coffee if you're looking for a strong cup o joe to wake you up in the am! I had the caramel macchiato latte which was delicious and not too sweet! The caramel was really flavourful. The barista did make the wrong order for me but was quick to remake it. Hot tip - get the peanut butter choco chip cookie!

Mediocre coffee above mediocre prices....ned i say more? They had some interesting coffee options which we would have come back to try were it not that their regular coffees were...as noted before... Mediocre at best. Our recommendation out of the 3 coffee shops we tried Tofino/Ucluelet would be the Tofino Coffee House Rotisserie...(see my other reviews ....)

Cute little shop. Serving good coffee, sandwiches, bagels and much more. Nice spot to hang out. Small, can be crowded. But atmosphere is very relaxed.

Very welcome cafe with a great selection of cakes, coffees and savoury snacks. Seems very popular and I can understand why. The staff are very friendly and the coffee is some of the best I have had on Vancouver Island. The cakes are home made and varied. My chocolate brownie was to die for and my partner enjoyed his lemon coconut slice

Best breakfast in Ucluelet. Don't even know the name of this bread, only remember the staff says it's number TWO. It tastes amazing. Best bread I had on the island.

Their americano tastes like water.....not very good, honestly....

A wonderful little cafe! Nice ambience and chill surf vibe. Took a while to get a drink made but after all they are on island time.

Glorious views of the stormy ocean before the night falls. The restaurant was serving the late night food menu which was good enough for us because we just wanted some tasty, fresh seafood. We got Negroni's, clams, cod cakes, seafood soup, and deep fried Mac and cheese. It was a little pricey so it was refreshing for the waitress to advise us to hold off on ordering an additional dish to what we had already ordered and she was 100% right. (If there was one other person then I'd be also recommending you to try the tuna dish.) As it was we took home the fried mac & cheese and heated it up in our kitchen suite for breakfast the next morning. It was still crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside!

We dined at the restaurant 3 times during our 3-night stay at the resort - dinner for our first evening and breakfast on the following 2 days - and we enjoyed every visit. Dinner at the restaurant for my partner's birthday was an excellent choice. We loved our courses from starters all the way through desserts and coffee. Starters were tuna nicoise and asparagus soup with seared scallop. Tuna nicoise is a genius idea with all the best elements of a salade nicoise without the unnecessary greens. The soft boiled quail egg was an excellent touch. The succulent scallop was paired nicely with the rich base on the soup. For main courses, I had seared scallops (again) & calamari with angel hair pasta and my partner had herb crusted halibut. My scallops were again wonderfully succulent, calamari was light and crispy, and the side pasta was very tasty but not heavy at all. We had a wonderful meal by the window overlooking the ocean We were hoping to see a pod of orcas swimming by but we were not as lucky as the diners the week before. Despite the absence of marine mammal visits, the main courses are well worth the $30 / plate average.

I took a two-month hiatus from my job to travel the western United States and Canada with my good friends. Needless to say, I saw a great number of surf shops and campgrounds. This place. This place? It does both. It has the most dope, unassuming, chill, and friendly surf shop on the same piece of land where the campground is. The campground is hidden back in this awesome old-growth pacific northwest rain forest-like area with picturesque moss and gigantic trees everywhere. There is a huge communal fire pit near the parking lot for campers to enjoy. There are also bathrooms and, I believe showers, if I remember correctly, on site. Now the surf shop. This is not some freaking commercial, mall-type Billabong, or chain boardwalk surf shop. This is a lets-get-you-on-the-waves kind of surf shop. It has what you NEED and nothing else. If you are a surfer with your own board, then they have you covered with things you might need like wax, fins, and a wet suit if you don't have your own. If you are a surfer w/o a board, because, for example, you are like me and your mode of transport didn't allow for it, then they also have you covered. Why? Because, these guys have some of the most competitive surfboard rentals in the Tofino-Ucluelet area. Pair that with the discount you get if you are camping here and this place is prime. We had been staying at some crap resort (McKenzie Beach Resort) up near Tofino where people were packed in like sardines with campsites on the freaking road. We bounced and moved here. Good move. This place is super laid back and has awesome staff manning the surf shop (a family and friends operation from what I can tell). I'm originally from the Midwest and learned to surf on one of the Great Lakes (Lake Superior). Why is this relevant you ask? Well, they had "Surf's Up" on every morning in the Surf Shop and you could go in, grab a cup of Joe, catch the surf forecast for the day, and watch Chicken Joe (home break: "The Elbow" Sheboygan, Lake Michigan) get barrelled on the TV. One of the coolest places I was on my whole two-month trip.

Great place! A good stopover after your day at the beach for a drink or a small bite.read more
