Their meal distribution program has been phenomenal. We have been so grateful for them to provide nutritious meals for our daughters when it's been tough to go to the supermarket. The ladies at Encinita Elementary are the best!! They always wave and smile at my little ones when we pick up the meals and they are always so great about communicating any changes to the meal schedule and any district wide programs that are happening. That's how we were able to participate recently in the Early Education Parent Academy that Rosemead School District's Child Development Department held! I think these workshops were really great in helping reopen my eyes on how to teach and communicate to my toddlers better. Thank you Rosemead School District! This review is for the gym. Mofufus Basketball League is held here on Sunday for the past few years. The old gym is as it sounds, old court and old bleachers. The new gym is as it sounds, new and clean. They run 1 game on the old court and run 2 games on the new courts. Awesome league. Very fun to play in!

Instead, there are ongoing concerns about cleanliness, including roaches being spotted on campus, which should never be happening at a private school charging premium rates. There are also noticeable rust issues around certain fixtures that make the campus feel poorly maintained for what it costs. What's even more discouraging is the perception that rules don't apply equally to everyone. There appears to be favoritism toward a particular staff member's daughter, whose behavior seems to be overlooked while other students are held strictly accountable. That kind of inconsistency creates resentment and undermines trust in the administration. Parents are paying for a structured, fair environment--not one where connections seem to matter more than conduct. On top of the already high tuition, families are constantly pressured to contribute more money. The Oktoberfest fundraiser is advertised as a major highlight of the year, but the ticket prices and food costs are excessive for what's actually offered. It feels less like a celebration and more like another expensive obligation. Overall, the school does not deliver an experience that justifies its price tag.

They will not take responsibility for bullying or fights that happen on campus. They turn a blind eye to it. They cater to their Asian students and top athletes and can care less for the other students. The school isn't top notch like it claims to be. There has been an increase in fights on all Temple City school campus's for about 6 years now. Your students safety is not their priority or concern.

I'm pretty sure if you look at any school, you would complain about many similar problems as well. The thing we're reviewing is stuff that makes TCHS different than AHS, WCHS, SGHS, etc. Ok, from a student stand point, I feel that the academics are up to par. MOSTLY all the teachers are nice and willing to help you succeed. Of course, like any other school, there will be those crap teachers that will make one class horrible for you, but I have had a lot of great teachers that have actually made all the difference in my high school experience. For clubs/ extra-curricular activities, there are a ton to choose from. Last year, I was the Campus Comm. for ASB (Comm. in charge of clubs) and I can safely say there were a huge variety of clubs to choose from. There were more than 60 different types of clubs that were active in the school. Adding on, there are also many sports and extra-curricular organizations to join. Of course, some sports are more competitive than others, but that is just the way things roll at times. For extra-curricular, there are so many groups such as LINK crew, Peer Listeners, ASB, Yearbook, Rampage, Choreo, Aux, Comedy Sportz, Drama, etc. I know I've included some Performing Arts, but the groups at TCHS are serious, so they require just as much time as a extra-curricular activity would require. Also, TCHS has implemented the RAMS program. Basically, it is a 30 minute study hall right before lunch for students who need help to pass their classes. Of course it sucks to have to be in this program, but the reward is not the program itself. The reward is not being in the program at all. Students who don't need RAMS get a 1 hour lunch period. I've asked my friends at many different schools and not a single one said they get any more than 45 minutes for lunch. You can do so much in 1 hour and that's why TCHS is superior in that aspect. To sum it up, you can't really critique a high school like you would a restaurant or a bowling alley just because not one little bad thing determines the whole entire review. I'm just saying that TCHS isn't all that bad and it AT LEAST deserves a 4 star.

This is my first year here, I have two children attending. Everything seemed great until the first…read moreday of school. I've had a crazy busy day running errands while juggling a baby since drop off. When I came to pick up my kids the same place I dropped them off it was a little confusing since it's new. Apparently I was at the wrong location for pick up. I make my way around feeling a bit anxious now but I see one of my children and gave a little honk as I see her and her teacher walk away. The principal Linda, right away screamed out no honking you gotta get out. So I parked and I pulled my baby out, there I explained I came by to the same spot I dropped them off at and her response was "if you were here yesterday you would've known this is where pick up is because I explained it" in front of other parents. On top of being anxious, exhausted, and lost now I am completely embarrassed. Now my child has walked away from where I can no longer see or call for her as she walks towards the office. I got back in my car buckled my son back up and parked again now for the 3rd time and I got out once more to the other pick up area for my other child when I was told my younger one can walk to my older one and I can do one pick up instead of two by the office staff. I felt she could've explained and guided me instead of being rude and insulting me in front of other parents. As well as being more understanding since it is the first day of school after all. Not a great first impression.
