I had never came here for education, so I don't know anything about that…read more But I do come here almost weekly during the weekend to ball kids up. There is this manhole on the fence that allows people to go into the school, so that's pretty cool. The lights near the benches never close, so we could just you know order some pizza or some shit and eat over there when its too dark or your friends are too fat to walk. They have cool automatic lights on the grass that turn on when you don't need em and when you actually do need em they turn off, so that's pretty cool. Uhh its a pretty big place so if you wanna play hide 'n go seek then you could get lost in this joint. But that's why its fun, cause when you can't find someone you just quit and sit at the benches so they could hide for dayz. There's also market carts that you can take inside the school and push your friends with. This place is so chill that one day we all assembled here to play basketball and ended up playing charades and no basketball at all, so the ball boy had to walk back home and never came back again. Overall, you could do anything you want here during the weekends so thats pretty cool. Just don't come around the bench area cause thats like our home turf so, if you don't wanna get blasted, you know what to do.

My daughter was attending a Montessori school prior to our looking into Clairbourn, and I felt that she needed more opportunities to perk her growing curiosity in life. Clairbourn School definitely has an abundant resources and opportunities to provide! What really made me so happy about switching over to Clairbourn was their strong emphasis on teaching and instilling kindness and respect for one another. Clairbourn also really felt like a family, a very caring and welcoming community. Every event they put on is so carefully thought out. Their back-to-school STEM event was amazing, the Grandparents/Parents Appreciation Days were so special, their Entrepreneur/Family BBQ was so much fun and their Christmas Show production was so well put-together. Unfortunately COVID hit us all by surprise in March 2020. I applaud how quickly Mrs Rankin learned and adapted to providing a virtual learning setting for the remainder of the school year. She personally dropped off weekly activity kits for my daughter and surprised us with a photo book at the end of the year with snapshots of our daughter's remote learning journey. We were looking forward to joining Ms Rubio's Pre-K class this past year, but due to LA County's Safer at Home mandate, their preschool was not able to open for in-person learning for Fall 2020. In the meantime, their head of school, Dr Patzlaff, and their lower school director, Mrs Paciorek, were very attentive and provided guidance on age appropriate activities our kids could engage in and continue in their development. They've been very communicative throughout this past year and very flexible and understanding of each family's situation. Your child will be loved at Clairbourn School--200%! You will have no doubts.

I am immensely grateful that they have developed leadership skills and become proficient public speakers during their time at the school. The supportive and kind staff have played a crucial role in nurturing their confidence. Additionally, Clairbourn offers ample opportunities for students to explore various interests, making it an ideal choice for parents seeking a well-rounded education for their children.

I was chosen with several other students to be on T.V. for a educational show. Ms. Adam was my teacher for this event. I remember the day JFK was killed by his limo driver was pretty surreal. Teachers were crying and we went home early. I also remember the smog was so horrific during the warmer time of year that we'd also be sent home early. The air smelled like rotten eggs, and you couldn't see more than a half mile. I'm grateful that I was able to attend school back when education was the emphasis, and not the way it is today.

However, she decided to sent my kid back to the classroom. She did not even bother to reach out to me or sent any note home to inform me about the incident. And then later during the conference with the principle, she tried to defend for herself . She claimed that she is not a RN and therefore, she cannot perform any assessment on student . So irresponsible! I wonder how she made her judgement to send my kid back to classroom if she cannot do any basic focus assessment ?! It is definitely lack of communication with parents. It must be the parents to make a decision whether or not to pick up their kids when incident occurs; because clearly the health assistance staff cannot assess !!!

I remembered I checked 6 private schools from San Marino and whole San Gabriel Valley area, our SGCS provides the best deal and their students performance is great! My son's grade has been always very good, but his old public elementary school was too busy to handle kids' conflict/ emotion, so my son didn't like school much---except his grade was above average. After SGCS, he becomes more calm, polite, doesn't get mad too easily, and tries to communicate with the kids he has argument, then later they became friends by teachers'/ staff's help! I am pretty demanding and always talked to school if I have any concern ( but I am always very polite becuase everybody there is a good and hard worker! I like and respect them very much!). Schoold always tried all their best to solve my problem! Also more and more new students who live in San Marino and come from China come to our SGCS. School always tries to help them to settle down and fit in to American school system and American life! I observed the new kids from China are pretty happy and enjoy school life/ friendship in SGCS! The whole school provides peaceful and very postive atmosphere to all students! My son is ready for high school! My whole family really appreciate SGCS! Before we move on: Christine Yang-Chen and her whole family wish SGCS continue to grow, proper, help more students, and the best forever! God bless SGCS and everybody!

They went out of their way to help the student overcome the difficulties. In addition, I must admit that, after tutoring for 50 years, I expected to find the academic level here on the low side, but instead the school is quite demanding. Unlike the previous school, which had ignored problems for 4 years, SGCS teachers quickly perceived the problems and took effective steps to remedy them. I am impressed!!
