The supervisors have a decent temper if you get along with them. Once I got in a fight with a kid and she yelled out "WHY DIDN'T YOU PICK UP THE WRAPPER!" Attended a Thanksgiving week Basketball tournament for the second straight year…read more I was rooting for Bishop Amat High School, which ended up winning the entire tournament, hooray! The gym is a nice gym with minimal seating, as the home and visiting teams' fans all sit on the same side. This makes for very tight seating. Lighting is good, the AC works great, the student workers and volunteers are AMAZING, super welcoming and friendly. Parking is about 200 years away, which is no big deal whatsoever. The girls' basketball team was hosting a fundraiser by selling food and snacks in the small kitchen-like area at the front of the gym. The prices were very affordable, and the young ladies working at this snack shop were charming and friendly. This was a fun experience.

Want to say a big F U to all the students counselors and teachers at this shitty school (except Ms…read moreManalang and Mr Gin, probably the only 2 teachers who care at this school). Any school will have bullying it's inevitable, but if you're not part of the cool crowd at this school, it will be a living hell. Not only will the kids bully you, but the teachers will as well. The kids will mentally and physically turn your excitement through their shitty freshmen welcome pep rally, into a living nightmare. Only chance of being saved is joining a sport or one of those stupid wanna be frat/sorority clubs where they make you do homosexual things to get in, and guess what? You can't get in if you're not "cool" enough. What a way to fuck up someone's self esteem if you don't make it in. Not to mention the whole school will know you're a reject and well, say goodbye to any enjoyment for the rest of your HS career. I transferred mid senior year and I want to say best fucking decision of my life. I actually had a blast at Diamond Bar HS. It actually felt like a supportive school and the people there were alright, but wayyyyy better than SGHS. You know that 2nd hand embarrassment when you don't want to identify as American in a foreign country? That's how I feel when people ask what HS I went to, I just tell them DBHS. The counselors could give two shits if you go to a college or not. I will miss nothing at this school.

The only teachers i can remember were Mrs. Carr and Mr. A (whom i heard left the year after i graduated). The teachers seemed passionate about teaching and the school had tons of activities. It was about two years ago that he had attended her class and I was sad that he had to move on.... definitely recommend the head start special needs class to kids who have disabilities. You know, teachers that actually taught you words in 1st grade, like "Responsibility" and how to apply them. Teachers that would become your best friend later in life, and I quote "As close as it gets to being a son". Teachers that were role models, inspirations, and best friends... And on that note, RIP Pat Roldan... I think the only complaint I could possibly have about this school is... it's too close to the wash. The balls would always fly in there if we weren't careful with our aim and strength.

If you can avoid this school I'd recommend you do! They obviously don't know what's going on in…read moretheir own premises. Child safety and concern is by far what they are heading towards. If the children could speak up there would be much more news on this school than we realize!!! I myself am I victim of their don't ask don't tell policy. I even asked my parents when I was much older if they remember an incident I had back in fourth grade and they said they were never notified of the situation. I had the principle, a THERAPIST, and my teacher present all without my parents. They were never notified. This school has a lot of teacher bullying even now. I have a little cousin whose seen other students get humiliated in front of the class. Being called names and making it pretty clear that that child is a failure in front of all their classmates. They even had incidents where the teacher will withhold the students from going to the bathroom and most students would pee their pants in the classroom. How can these teachers be so unsympathetic, with no humanity, and still say they are all about the students? I'm pretty sure they don't even do background checks on these people they are hiring.
