I had high expectations for Nativity School in El Monte, especially given how expensive the tuition is, but the reality has been frustrating. For the amount families are required to pay, you would expect exceptional standards across the board. Instead, there are ongoing concerns about cleanliness, including roaches being spotted on campus, which should never be happening at a private school charging premium rates. There are also noticeable rust issues around certain fixtures that make the campus feel poorly maintained for what it costs. What's even more discouraging is the perception that rules don't apply equally to everyone. There appears to be favoritism toward a particular staff member's daughter, whose behavior seems to be overlooked while other students are held strictly accountable. That kind of inconsistency creates resentment and undermines trust in the administration. Parents are paying for a structured, fair environment--not one where connections seem to matter more than conduct. On top of the already high tuition, families are constantly pressured to contribute more money. The Oktoberfest fundraiser is advertised as a major highlight of the year, but the ticket prices and food costs are excessive for what's actually offered. It feels less like a celebration and more like another expensive obligation. Overall, the school does not deliver an experience that justifies its price tag. read more

Nativity Catholic School El Monte has been the best decision we could have made for my daughter. She started in TK4, and now in Kindergarden. Let me tell you it has been excellent. The principle and teachers are a special group of educators who work very hard and genuinely care for our kids. Staff Amazing, Miss Martha super nice, approachable, helpful. Always there to answer your questions. Principle, teachers are always communication with regular email, texts so we are always up to date of what is going on with their programs. program, carnival, etc... are so much fun. read more

I have fours kids that go to school here and I could not imagine a better place for them. Two have gone through the transitional kindergarten program which has prepared them for the next step. They are an all inclusion school that makes all kids feel welcomed. The principal and staff have said yes to this special way of education. My son has special needs and the school has included him but challenged him at his level. They find where the students ability is and work up from there, providing an environment for educational stimulation. From a special needs program, new science program and constant updates to the campus Nativity Catholic School is somewhere you can trust that your child will get the most challenging education. It takes a village to raise a child and we have found our village! Nativity's reputation is well known throughout the Los Angeles Archdiocese. When it came time to choose a school for our son, Nativity was the clear choice for us especially after seeing two nieces graduate from here. One is currently attending St. Lucy's High School and the other is attending Cal State Fullerton. This, along with Nativity's faith based culture and emphasis on academia, solidified our decision. Our son started out in Nativity's TK3 program and is now in 2nd grade. Nativity school is a great school. When my brother first started going there he didn't know not even know how to read. He's been coming here for 2 years already and his English and math is amazing.
