This place is a total scam. My teenage daughter took her phone in to get the camera repaired. They made her pay $100 in advance and didn't fix iI. When I asked them why they said because she asked us to fix the lens. This is deceptive! They knew she wanted to get the camera working. I had dropped my iPad and the on/off switch became jammed down into the device casing. The iDoctor fixed the problem and got a perfectly working iPad back to me. I would have given the business a five star review, but feel that communication was poor, both between the person who took the device and the tech who repaired it and between the store and the customer. read more

First off, I wanted to support a local business while saving money and not taking my laptop to Bestbuy! I brought my laptop to Savannah Idoctor on February 7th 2023 due to a Blue screen error message, I paid them $85 to run a diagnostic to determine what the issue was; they contacted me a week later and said there was nothing they could do at their location. They asked if they could send it to another location to see if they could fix it. I waited a couple weeks and did not hear anything so I called them on February 24th to follow up and see if they were able to get my laptop repaired, I was told my laptop was not repairable and that it would be shipped back to their location and will be available in a few days and I would get a text letting me know when it was available for me to pick up. I never received a text so I called on March 2nd and they told me that it was there waiting for me to pick it up (even though I never received a text from them), I went the next day and picked it up on March 3rd at 4:45 pm.; I asked for a printed diagnostic from the 2 different techs that had inspected my computer. They were not able to give me a printout of the diagnostic, I felt that was very fishy. I left there and went straight to Bestbuy, I spoke with a tech, and he said they could fix it with no issues; I paid them $199 to fix my laptop. I picked my laptop up from Bestbuy on Sunday March 5th at 5:00 pm, 48 hours after I dropped it off; they had it repaired. I am now writing this review on my repaired laptop that Savannah Idoctor had for almost a month and charged me $85.58 and did absolutely nothing and told me it was not repairable. If you are not able to complete a simple repair that Bestbuy was able to do in 48 hours, you should not advertise that you have those skills. What a bad taste this has experience has left in my mouth to try supporting a local business! Don't waste your time and money using this company, I am now a huge fan of the Bestbuy Geek Squad and will never use or recommend Savannah Idoctor to anyone; I wouldn't even rust them with a screen repair for my cell phone. read more

This business uses an appointment calendar program. I gave them the model number and I excepted the recommended appointment time. When I arrived, they were out for lunch. When they returned I found out that they do not repair my size iPad. This would've been easily solved if the tech had any access to the actual appointment information. Technology is great if you actually use it. This was out of the control of the tech, so the one star goes to the owners. Though an apology would've been nice. read more

I am a klutz, so I have gone to the Savannah IDoctor many times over the years. I get my device back very quickly, some times half hour sometimes a few hours. But always in a reasonable amount of time. During the shutdown I was so thankfully they were open! I have numerous batteries replaced on mine and family members devices as well! You can't go wrong. I live out of state. Early this year we were visiting family when I experienced an issue with my iPhone. I called Savannah iDoctor and was given a quote over the phone. I dropped it off that afternoon and picked it up later that same day. After the repair I received a text message asking if I was satisfied with their service. Since then I have received additional follow up messages ensuring that I was still satisfied. I knew that I would be back in town this week so I waited to bring my iPad to them for an issue I was having with it. I'm sure that I could have had it repaired where I live in Miami but I was happy to wait until my return to give them my business again. Customer service is excellent. They performed the screen replacement in a very timely manner. (Less than an hour to be exact) But, my phone freezes up and I have to perform a hard reset to get it to work again. I never had this problem before I had my phone serviced. My girlfriend also had issues with the screen protector that was upsold to us while we waited. It came off completely less than two weeks after having it installed. In August 2017, I took my Apple ipad Pro 9.7 into Savannah idoctor to have the cracked screen repaired. They required me (and everyone else) to pay in advance for the repairs before any work was performed. I paid Savannah idoctor $306.34 to repair the screen on my ipad. Over the next few days, I visited Savannah idoctor on several occasions to inquire about my ipad repairs. I was initially told that they had ordered the wrong screen and had to send the wrong one back before the correct screen could be ordered. Then I was told on several occasions that there was a delay in receiving the correct screen and that they would "look into it". In September, I was notified by Savannah idoctor that my ipad had caught fire when the technician was repairing the unit. They claimed that nothing similar had ever happened to them during repairs and assured me that they would "make it right". They then filed a claim with their insurance company to cover the costs of repair but later said the insurance claim was denied as they "did not carry that type of coverage". The latest correspondence I had with Savannah idoctor was over a month ago when the owner, Christopher Smith, called and left a voice message on my phone indicating that they were attempting to repair my damaged ipad and would be in touch. I have heard nothing back from Mr Smith or anyone else with Savannah idoctor since that message. To date, Savannah idoctor has not only refused to pay for my ipad which they destroyed while attempting repairs but will not even refund the $306.34 paid to them, up front, for repairs. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for cell phone, computer and/or tablet repairs as this is the kind of customer service you can expect from this business. read more
