A small town winery with 2 locations (one in Barker and one in Chaffee, NY). I received a $25 gift certificate at a basket raffle, so I decided to make the drive out to Chaffee to sample some wines and buy a couple bottles . A tasting of 7 wines (or one of their own ciders ) is $7 , so I opted to do that . Sadly these were served in plastic cups , that is easy cleanup, but takes away from the whole experience, IMO . I liked all of them to a degree, but my favorites were the sparking wine and the cherry wine . I ended up only paying about $15 after the certificate for 2 bottles and the tasting - prices are fair . Grounds are cute as well , they do have events from time to time . Not very busy at noon on a Saturday - but staff was nice and eager to help me . Not a winery that blew me away , but I had a good experience there and would return . read more

I've been to this location twice over the years and can say that each visit was 5 stars! The first was an impromptu, look what we stumbled upon and this one was a planned outing. It's a nice little drive so be prepared! I like that Savage offers guest wines and ciders in their tastings. You can do beer tastings too as they have a nice array of taps available. The vibe is small town friendly. All current protocols are being followed. There is an area of outside seating if preferred and weather permitting. Everyone we encountered had a smile on-through masks of course. It seemed like the local growler fill hub on this Saturday afternoon. The sad thing this time, only chickens were out. The wine and hard cider were absolutely delicious but the service was horrible. Very slow and the man behind the bar needs to go back to school for hospitality classes. I'd return because the wine was really good but not if Mr. Cranky Crankowitz was behind the bar. read more

Four of us came here for a wine tasting. We found it through a deal on Groupon. Very cheap prices if you are just going for the wine tasting. Comparatively, this was by far the cheapest experience we could find within an hour of Buffalo. Definitely not a ritzy venue, the parking lot is gravel, there are chickens running loose. This is great if you don't want to deal with the airy environment of some wineries. For an early fall Sunday, this was a great way to relax and hang out with family and friends while trying some new wines. The place definitely was not crowded, but there was a consistent stream of people coming in and out. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, I would have felt out of place in any sort of formalwear. My two favorite wines were their Spiced Apple and Caveman Red (sweet). The loganberry and rhubarb were interesting, but not to my personal palate. Checked out this place after using a Super Savings on 7 deal I purchased. It's pretty small, but intimate. Everyone seems to know each other, as if it's a regular bar they go to. I don't know if this is a regular thing, but they ordered pizza and wings from South Buffalo and offered it to everyone there. We checked out the little barn as part of our "deal" and saw some goats and sheep, and a little white kitty that was roaming around. It was definitely a fun time, especially for a nice little day trip. We stopped at Taste and Vidlers too before heading in (all of which were my first time). read more

This winery is awesome, especially for those that want to enjoy a glass of wine but don't take the experience too seriously. My boyfriend and I got a Groupon here, it included a few tastings and a bottle to take home. We ended up loving all the wine and purchased extra. The owner and his son are both super nice and took the time to talk to each guest. Their wines were on the sweeter side, which I personally prefer. My favorite was the Loganberry wine. Literally, the worst winery I have ever been to in my entire life. I walked in with my service dog who happens to be a German shepherd. I was greeted and told German shepherds are not allowed. I told them she is my service animal, and she is certified. They asked to see her card and credentials, which, if anybody knows Americans with disabilities act that is federally protected by the government. All they can ask is what is her service and that is all. There was a back-and-forth between me and the manager that greeted us. I could tell they were not friendly to us or the dog so myself and my girlfriend left immediately. They told us to never return. I have filed a complaint at this point with the lawyers with Americans with disabilities act, and this will be on 2 on your side in the near future. read more

Friends and I were looking forward to a couple hour "Sunday funday" and having a couple glasses of wine. The Facebook page stated they were open as well as when we got there the sign on the door clearly states Sunday 10a-6pm. When we proceeded to call the number listed we were told that "only the Wilson location was open and generally people would notice the business wasn't open if the door was locked?" That was extremely rude and unprofessional not to mention falsely advertised. Bought a groupon for 4 people and 7 rounds of tastings, we got to keep our wine glasses, and got 2 bottles of wine with the Groupon! My favorites were the Loganberry wine and the Strawberry Rhubarb hard cider. Savage Winery is super casual and warm and welcoming and I loved the alpacas. We did a Groupon Deal for a girls day out. There were 6 of us. We loved the wine, slushies and the cider! The atmosphere was great! Laid back ,relaxing for a summer day. We played cornhole and fed the goats and alpalcas. We all left with wine, glasses and alpaca yarn! I even got Alpaca manure for my garden (it is like crack cocaine for your garden!) Excellent winery for sweet wine drinkers. Laid back atmosphere, family setting. The loganberry wine is excellent, as is the cider. The cider is also sold by the growler. We had the kids with us and they enjoyed feeding the goats on the farm. We had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit. read more

The folks who own this place were super nice. They do tastings that come with a glass as well. They give a ton for tastings so it's awesome. They are seasonal and they also raise alpacas. They do art classes or something and are super busy on those days. The wine was above average. They are known for their loganberry wine. First time ever having that and it was pretty good. Planning on taking some family and friends tasting there next summer. read more
