UNPROFESSIONAL AND INEXPERIENCED I wanted a bespoke suit for my wedding in April 2022, so I came to Savage Suiting along with a picture of the exact suit I wanted and made a purchase of $1,935.00 on October 16, 2021 - 168 days (5.6 months) prior to the big day. My stepson also paid for a regular suit at Savage Suiting but the jacket was not made correctly (they used European sizes instead of American). Initially, I looked at my now wife and wondered if this was a bad omen or a simple coincidence; we foolishly opted for the latter and I proceeded with my purchase. When my suit was shipped, here were the first issues we encountered: pants were 2-3 sizes too small and at least 6 inches too short (the owner accidentally listed my inseam as my outseam), vest was double-breasted scoop neck instead of the standard five-button vest I showed the owner (I even sent him a text message so he could see how I wanted my suit made and he even advised against double-breasted yet ordered it anyway), and the laundry tag had personalization to say "her weirdo" but the owner spelled it "wierdo" and when I questioned him, he acted like I was crazy and I had to pull up Google to prove him wrong. The second shipment came months later and while the pants and shirt were correct, the vest was still wrong as the top button was near my throat and not suitable for wear with a wide cravat, which again, the owner knew I wanted. My wife and I also wanted the bottom vest button to be down closer to the belt buckle, so again, the owner processed another order for the vest. Weeks later, one week prior to my wedding, the 3rd vest arrived and it was the style we wanted but not the back liner we wanted. Come to find out, the mill was out of stock of the paisley lining I wanted and instead of calling his customer to inform him of this and allow for a new selection to be made, the owner decided for me in order to rush out the vest. What I got was a hideous octagonal design that had my wife in tears as everything was going wrong with this suit (see picture labeled "2 vests" for side-by-side comparison). I asked the owner why he did not call me to allow me to select from the available linings and all he said was that he was sorry for not reaching out but I am still stuck with an unfinished suit. I took the 2nd vest the one that was too short and had the top button too high, to the owner's tailor where he (tailor) offered to pin back the top of the vest to allow for more of a neckline so I could wear a cravat but you can see how abysmal this looks in the picture labeled "Vest Errors." Now I am stuck with this vest (or I have to pay out of my own pocket to restore the vest) and it will not be usable with the cravat again. Any good tailor will spend at least ten minutes taking measurements for a custom suit. This owner took less than 90 seconds and it shows with the amount of errors I had. I spent $1,935.00 of my hard-earned money and still did not get I wanted, what I paid for. In 168 days, or 5.6 months from date of order and purchase, Savage Suiting still could not get my suit made correctly even with multiple attempts. Most tailors take 6 weeks to make a suit so this was more than enough time. Even now, after my wedding, when I reached out to get the vest made correctly so I could wear the suit to another event, the owner stopped replying to me. When both my fiancé and I told the owner the length of my vest was too short (picture labelled "short vest"), he reassured me that the belt line should remain in view below the bottom edge of the vest. Now, I knew better and I am not even in the sartorial business; however, he is and still did not know the proper length (picture labelled "proper vest length"). On another note, I took the suit jacket in to another tailor and he was surprised at how long the jacket is (picture labelled "long jacket"). I am at a complete nonplus over the ineptitude of this business. How can the owner not know these things? I will never return here and moreover, would recommend anyone avoid this place. I would rather go back to my tailor in LA and spend 63% more on the same suit, just to ensure it is made correctly and professionally the first time. read more

Disastrous Suit Rental Experience at Savage Suiting - Avoid at All Costs! My best friend and his bride had the misfortune of renting suits from Savage Suiting for their wedding. From the outset, the experience was marred by unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. The owner, Matthew, displayed a dismissive, arrogant, apathetic, and sour attitude throughout our interactions. He gave us (the groomsmen) inconsistent linens with mismatching shirts and ties from random brands. Although he acknowledged his mistake and promised to provide a solution, he eventually ghosted the groom after telling him to forget about the issue and to never contact him again! Most importantly, the suits provided for the father of the groom and the father of the bride were ill-fitting with incorrect materials and colors. This caused immense stress and disappointment on such a significant occasion. Both families were extremely disappointed. Despite acknowledging their mistake, Matthew and his wife refused to issue a refund. They completely ignored our attempts to communicate and have ceased all contact. This lack of accountability and customer service is utterly unacceptable. I strongly advise against using Savage Suiting for any suit rental needs. Their unprofessional conduct, subpar product quality, and abysmal customer service make them a company to be avoided at all costs. There are numerous other reputable suit rental establishments that value their customers and strive to provide a positive experience. After searching high and low for suits for our upcoming wedding I stumbled upon Savage Suiting. I first met Matt and Brittania at a bridal show and was so impressed with their idea of custom suiting. After searching a little bit more I decided to reach out to them. My biggest concern was we had some groomsmen out of town and boy did they calm my concern right away. They let me know that our out of towners could just get measurements at their local tailor or tux shop and give them the measurements and they'd make it happen. For the experience itsself the boys got the Royal treatment! Cigars, whiskey, and great company all while getting custom tailored. You can't beat it! The most rudest employee in the world made a apt a week ago for Saturday 6/124 he called a few minutes before our apt stating he cannot make it because he was out of town I ask If someone else can do the the measurements he said no he made ours apt for today he called at 12.25 right before leaving he said come at 2:0o u told him you made us apr at 1:00 he said he did us a favor by coming today even though he is the one who made a apt he was extremely rude telling me he u should go to somewhere else he doesn't want to work with us I am in shock how rude this person was we did everything he asked us to do but still he didn't want to bother with his apt plz plz don't ever bother going to this place ever I am still in shock of his rudeness very impolite extremely rude and he hang up on me read more

Matt and Brittania are the absolute best at making you feel comfortable, welcome, and listened to when you come in looking for a suit. I wasn't too sure what to expect when I came in--I had previously been to a suit warehouse and wasn't super fond of the experience--but Matt and Brittania made me feel right at home and got me fitted within an hour. They don't waste time, but they also take time to get to know you (which is a really delicate balance to strike!). They were willing to explore a variety of options and showed me how different suits would look under different lighting conditions. Let me start out by saying - I am a woman and I have short arms. This is how I ended up at Savage Suiting with Matt and Brittiana! I was at a semi formal event and I was wearing one of my favorite suit jackets...of course with the sleeves rolled up. Matt came over and said "Hey - I can make you a suit that fits!" I was intrigued. I have a wedding to go to in a few weeks and I never thought about actually getting a suit made. I went to their shop a few weeks ago with the tie I wanted to match and away we went! I was actually set to Savage Suiting because I was a groomsman in my Marine Corps brothers wedding. I HATE shopping, love suits, but I hate shopping. Matt changed my view on that completely. Now I hate shopping everywhere else. You go to Savage Suiting and it's like visiting that cool uncle everyone wishes they had. That uncle with style and wisdom. I was not the one who picked savage suiting as our suit outfitter for the wedding, but it turned out to be a great experience. We are nowhere near the actual store itself so Matt let us send him all our info and then try the suits on. To be honest, my suit didn't fit quite right at first so I asked Matt if there would be anyway to pull an audible, and he overnighted me a new vest and then everything fit just fine.
