I have driven by this place many times, but on a chilly Wednesday it became my work lunch stop in search of a good sandwich, and it did not disappoint. I walked into a decent sized deli with the smell of fresh food filling the air. The staff was friendly and ready to help as soon as I was ready to order. I went with the Patterson on a hero, and it was piping hot by the time I headed back to the job site. The visual appeal was there, the smell was there, and the first bite sealed it. The bread was soft and not chewy, the vegetables were crisp, the bacon was hot, and the chicken breast was juicy. It was a delightful sandwich from first bite to last. Stopped at this family owned take -out deli/sandwich shop on the way to the airport in White Plains. The menu has several specialty sandwiches/wraps or create your own. You can even choose from several variety's of Boar's Head meat. I ordered honey Turkey & honey ham. The sandwich was perfectly stuffed. Not an enormous amount of meat, but just the right ratio of meat to the very soft sub roll. There are some premade sandwiches and salads available, as well as wrapped baked goods. Much better than airport food! Would definitely stop here again. read more

You can order at the deli counter, and I ended up choosing a premade chicken Caesar salad, and was able to add additional veggies, as per the deli guys suggestion. Went here for lunch the other day out of desperation with little time to go someplace decent. I ordered their burger they advertised by the road. What a disappointing decision! The 'brioche roll' was toasted but half of it was still stiff from being stale! What a waste of money! Thanks Sauro's! You ruined my lunch! First, I heard Sauro's sold the deli. Is this true?? I met a woman at Acme who told me, she would NEVER buy stuff from Sauro's. She said, "Sauro's sold to ?????." Did not catch the name. Bought a sandwich here about 2 weeks ago; rye, meat, asked for thinly sliced onion & lettuce & a little mayo. You call that a sandwich..??!!! 3 slices of meat, a couple rings of onion...WTF....!!??? Typical shredded lettuce. Rye bread was NOT like any rye I have ever had!!!! Was it rye???? 2.5" x 3.5" (size of bread); is that a freakin' sandwich??? The INSULT: $7.00...double WTF...!!!!!???? If I had unwrapped this sandwich before I paid, I would have told them to keep it...!!!!! SHOVE IT...!!! Who's making sandwiches; ill-eagles...??? Sure wish IGA & Jimmy was still in town. I usually never put reviews but I cannot let this one go. When my husband passed away 7 months ago the workplace got us a $225 gift card to here. I had to call the manager 3x to even receive the gift card because Everytime I would go pick it up they told me it wasn't there. Afterwards, when I asked if it could be used at Townsquare as well, the manager told me yes. Few months later, I tried at town square. They wouldn't accept it. Called Souro's back up and that old manager had left! So now I didn't even have his word. Now we try to use it at the real deli side, go to pick up and they tell me the gift card expired 5 months after we received it. Yes, I missed that. But what gift card expires after 5 months? So now they just got a $225 donation. Place is a scam. I'm extremely disappointed and won't ever give them business. read more

The best Italian bread, hot food and Cold-cuts as well as desserts and great catering available!

We just ordered 2 wedges for our grad party! They took the time to figure, when ordering, when we were picking up and when we were serving so we could store it properly. They cut it and wrapped it up beautifully so that it was easy to refrigerate. We did the Chicken Cutlet Special and the Sauro's Deluxe. EVERYONE asked where they were from! Absolutely delicious! Great place, They have a great veggie wedge with a balsamic reduction sauce on it that is as good as any wedge. Must get back to have it again. They have a great assortment of food. Sauro's is a regular lunchspot for me. It's the kind of place where ppl know your name and what you want to eat. I usually grab a green salad and maybe some of their homemade bean salad or edamame salad or wheatberry salad. Yeah I like their salads! They have a host of things you can pick up and take home or, if you're like me and forget you're going to a party after work, you can pick up cakes and pastries here too. I've gone to Sauro's a few times in the 2yrs that I lived in Holmes/Patterson. Today will definitely be my last time. Don't get me wrong, the food is great, some of the people are nice but the prices are crazy. I ordered the 'Honey Bee' which is Honey Maple Turkey, Meunster cheese, lettuce, tomato & honey mustard sauce on a wrap. I asked for Honey Ham instead, ohhh the look I got from the girl taking my order. You would have thought I was asking for the moon. Then I asked for a small container of macaroni salad. Talk about mayonnaise overload!! To the point that I had to throw it out. It just seems like the prices do not match the food quality. My wrap was soggy & there was like 3 slices of ham & 1 slice of cheese. Sandwiches get smaller while prices go up. Looks like I will have to find a different place to go. Sauro's Town Square next to Sauro's Deli, is a great new addition to Patterson! Food is overall very good. I like the closeness to everything and the décor is nice. The service is always very good.
