Really disappointed with the service I got a glass of wine and a "picnic option" which wasn't well explained, the sever said it was a mix of salami and cheese with some crackers. The service is slow and it took 15 min just to get the bill, besides the time to be seated even though the place was pretty empty. I do not recommend and for sure I won't be back.

This has been my favorite bar to come to since I've been in town. The staff is stellar, the drinks are awesome and the music is always great. If I could only drink one place in Toronto, this would be it.

We entered and immediately were drawn to the gorgeous decor. The service is quick and knowledgeable. We are not very experimental but enjoyed browsing the drinks. We ended up ordering plain regular pints and the spinach and artichoke dip. Love this beautiful and comfortable establishment. Will return with friends!

Nice selection of Ontario craft beers, with a quartet rotating to break up the redundancy. Friendly staff and always open till closing time.

Our bartender, Danielle, was the right mix of quirky and helpful.

You walk in and you're immediately presented with a really cool, really atmospheric hallway that leads into a flashy bar. The service was awesome, too. It was the end of the night, so I figured I'd probably only be getting one drink, which is why I went with the very expensive ($26!) New York Sour ("lot 40 canadian rye whisky. peller estates private reserve pinot noir 2024. montmorency cherry. wild rosehip. citrus. whey"). It's a decent cocktail. The flavors work well together and it did elevate a normal Whisky Sour. However, I don't feel like it knocked my socks off, and as a result, paying about $30 (including tax and tip) seemed a little unreasonable. It's a solid drink, though. It sure fared better than the Truffle Pommes Frites ("shoestring fries, parmigiano, truffle aioli"), which I found to be inedible. I know that truffle oil is one of those divisive ingredients that people either love or hate, but I'd say I easily fall into the latter camp. And this concoction was overloaded with the stuff, so I was only able to eat a few bites before throwing in the towel. Based on this visit, I'd have to say Slice of Life is more style over substance, but I could be wrong and I'll presumably be back at some point to give them another shot.

Small but cute cocktail bar. It's a bit pricey for what you're getting, but a good one time visit…read more The service was excellent - we sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and walked us through the menu and made general conversation. The drinks were good too, but for $20+ drinks, I think I expected a bit more.

Both the indoor and outdoor dinning are advised. Menu has an Asian flair. We had the Tuna Tostadas and the superb Sichuan Lemon Calamari along with Big Plates (mains) Branzino and my favorite the Mushroom Pappardelle. Service is friendly and prices are fair. Margaritas are excellent. You can also rent the tower for private dinning. No view inside but a great space.

There are outdoor tables as well as indoor (which has floor to ceiling windows for clear views). The breakfast portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Here's the complaint: They advertise on their website that their brunch hours are 7am-2pm. https://www.thebroadviewhotel.ca/the-rooftop/ We were coming back on the ferry from Centre Island, and we wanted to take some visitors to the Rooftop for a quick lunch, to enjoy the view. When I called about 1pm from the ferry, the front desk person was very vague about the restaurant hours - pretty clueless. She tried to transfer me to the restaurant - but I was placed on hold for at least 4-5 minutes, and no one ever picked up. Once our ferry got back to downtown, I quickly hailed an Uber to take us to the Rooftop. When we hurried up to the restaurant by 1:30pm, the hostess unapologetically told us that they stop service at 1:30pm daily, and she couldn't offer us a table. When I told her that the website said brunch is served until 2pm, she dismissed that, and offered no apologies. This was a very frustrating experience. Despite the fact that the restaurant offers a good view, I will not be returning. BTW - we stayed at this hotel (Broadview Hotel) for 4 nights - I would give it a 3.5 star. Not likely to come back.
