The service was excellent. The price is good. The food is palatable, but nothing out of this world. Mostly flavorless. Would not go again.

The atmosphere was good. There were several people that you could tell were regulars. The menu was hard to figure out, too much of the same things listed but with different prices. It didn't give explanation of why. The food itself did not sit well with us. Seems that it effected all 3 of us in a bad way. We will not be returning. read more

Came here for sushi lunch - prices are good, but the sushi is "meh". Spend a little more and head to Miyako or Sushi Cafe instead.

Rolls and bento boxes are very good. The bulgogi is my favorite, my wife loves their salmon, and my daughters really like the yakisoba and gyoza. The service is hit or miss in terms of wait time, but the staff is always friendly. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. read more

I come here many times with friends to enjoy their buy 1 get one 50% off rolls, half off sake and reduced price beers. $20 later I am buzzed and stuffed. The service is excellent and they are extremely friendly. The restaurant is small so if you're coming with a big party, please RSVP. read more

Me and the little lady decided to give it a try for her birthday. Sake selection was limited but acceptable but they didn't have what she wanted so we tried a different sake. Was good but not the unfiltered type she usually likes. The hot sake was good as well. The sushi rolls we got were all good and they even brought around extra sample pieces of random rolls to us and other diners. Sashimi was bit disappointing. Probably only bad part of the meal. The tuna had a grainy texture. Id go back here again but we might just end up sticking with sushi café. read more

I LOVE this place! One of the best sushi places around. The chef is GREAT! The service is second to none. The sushi is authentic. It is the one place in town that I go and can't understand anyone in the place. You go where the people that know go! read more

I've eaten here several times, but it seems to fall off my memory bank from time to time because the location isn't exactly prominent. However, everything from the bento boxes, to the udon bowls to the sushi is always top notch. Today I had the seafood Udon bowl and seafood salad. 9/10 stars each. Fast service and very good prices. Recommended. read more

This sushi hit a home run. First time I find a great sushi / Japanese restaurant with quality food at a good price. We went on a Tuesday 1.99 beer, half off sake, also buy a roll get one half off. I ate like a king...Started out with a spicy salad which had a delicious spicy salad dressing. Salmon roll n had the chef decide on a special roll, both where great. Not only are the prices great but the staff is friendly, and attentive. Next time I go will need to try there dinners. read more

Wow this place is great, they were so nice the sushi I had was great, it was made fresh unlike some places, already rolled and it's been sitting there for a few hours. Definitely a place to go back. And the price is very good read more

Going for the second time tonight. My husband and I went a few weeks ago and they were very polite. They did not have Splenda (only real sugar) but without me asking they went to the convenience store next door and got a box of Splenda for me. I felt quite diva-ish and it wasn't necessary but it was a seriously nice gesture. We really enjoyed the food and the service. read more

The service was good, but the food was jot all that great. The portion size was comparable to a frozen dinner entree just a little more expensive..not very big. read more

Food is good. Staff is attentive. Too small of a place, very cramped, and they need to turn on the air conditioner. The past two times I went in, I was sweating and felt very uncomfortable. That made me not come back in the past year. I did not know that they offer nigiri at a $1.00. I will have to go back. I have been visiting Sushi Cafe and Yokohama three to four times a week. They have the best sushi and bigger portions. However, knowing the nigiri is at this price, I will come back. See you soon and maybe your rating will go up if you turn on the air conditioner and sushi prices have come down. TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONER! IT'S ALABAMA AND I AM NOT EATING IN A HOT RESTAURANT! read more

Satsuki is the BEST japanese restaurant I've been for sushi in Montgmery!!! Although the restaurant is small, they have great customer service and have amazing quality of sushi. Now satsuki is one of my regular places to go for my lunch. Both lunch and dinner has great special deal (you can pick any 2 rolls from the menu for $12.99 at lunch and $14.99 at dinner). Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. I'd definitely recommend checking this restaurant out if you're in Montgomery!! read more

I have eaten sushi from Atlanta to California. This is the best Sushi I have ever had!!! Try the Ninja rolls!

Yummy!! The Sakura roll is so good! The people here are so sweet!! Awesome atmosphere. Def. Get full!

WOW....Exellant sushi at great prices. Great at lunch or dinner they normally have specials going on. Great and friendly posts and chef if they don't have it on the menu they will make or modify your roll so fresh also. I eat sushi everywhere I go I travel a lot and this is got to be the top 5. Not to mention the fried ice cream is awesome everybody needs to try this place at least once you'll definitely come back for more. read more

Everything about this place was great. The food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful. And if you have children the staff is wonderful with them. My 4 year old daughter and I love coming here. Some of the best sushi in town by far! read more

I like it when restaurants make continuous improvements. The cleanliness went up (now at 96%) and they updated their menu with some changes but overall the food and jampong was good. We'll be back for the jampong for sure! read more

Bang on sushi. Delicious fried rice. Slightly occasional sub-par experience, but only because we're there all the time. Bound to have a dud now and then. read more

I like to eat at Satsuki because their foods are exellent but service was terrible. I went to eat tonight and there was a waiter. He didnt even say hi and I just sit the table with my friend. I dont like to say this but that waiter breath stink so bad.. I mean how could hire person who dont even wash when they work.. I was so mad when I smell it. But food was good. read more

The Poke bowl is SO so so good. Service can be a little slow sometimes but the staff is always very nice and they work very hard. I've been coming to Satsuki for years and have never been disappointed. Very reasonably priced, super delicious. read more

I agree with another review that the sushi here is at least tied with Kabuki for best in Montgomery. Very fresh, and the chef offered us a delicious salmon amuse-bouche after we finished the rolls we'd ordered. The service is also extreme friendly. Unfortunately, the teriyaki stir-fry was a disappointment, and probably the worst I've had anywhere in town -- super-greasy ball of fried rice reminiscent of cheap Chinese takeout, and vegetables that looked like they'd been dumped out of a bag of frozen mixed vegetables and then boiled for an hour. Rather than the big, blanched pieces of broccoli and cauliflower you typically get with this kind of meal, there were tiny diced-up wilted pieces of broccoli, carrots, and green bell peppers (?). No water chestnuts, onions, mushrooms, bok choy, ginger, snap peas, or anything else to add a little interest. Also over-sauced and consequently very salty. So, stick to the sushi. read more

Food is great and staff is nice and they have eel which is great anytime I go with my family we have a great time

Katsudon was good but the rice was little blend. I want to try another different don next time.

Sushi is good. They seem to specialize in special rolls, most with sauces and some cooked. Good place for introducing someone to sushi, but a seasoned vet will probably not be impressed. Don't get me wrong, the fish is fresh, but there's nothing special here and they don't seem to know some traditional sushi items. I asked for tobiko with quail egg and the waiter had NO idea what I was talking about and had to ask the chef. He looked at me like I was nuts and said they didn't have quail eggs. Oh well. Service is hit and miss. First time the waiter was very green and didn't know sushi very well at all. He knows the menu, but doesn't know sushi if you just order what you like off the top of your head and it isn't one of their rolls. Second time, the girl we got was much more informed and very pleasant. I'd go again, because I am intro'ing someone else to sushi and this seems to be the best place without heading downtown to Wasabi. read more

Love this restaurant. Small and cozy! Never have to wait for a long time.

One of the few places I found in Montgomery that care if you come back! They are quick with the food and fresh with the Sushi. It is little but that keeps the waiting staff ready to serve. We love going there... Most times these guys will even throw in free samples of stuff... And when it comes to " bang for yo buck" they do not disappoint! Good prices... Good people... And most of all Great sushi! ... Another wonderful audition to Montgomery .... read more

This place is great, we come here every week. Can't beat the service and sushi lunch special. Best in Montgomery

My husband and I moved to town about the same time this wonderful sushi restaurant opened. We've tried everthing Oriental in town and always come back to Satsuki for the best sushi around! Extensive menu coupled with enthusiastic staff makes for a great sushi meal. Both cooked and uncooked specialty rolls are available. We have never been disappointed with any sushi ordered here! read more
