So we needed to find a replacement, which took us to Micro Center. They have quite a selection of laptops (granted, as do other stores). We visited on a nice and sunny Sunday afternoon our daughter's soccer game and some outside activity for me... so we needed a laptop and lunch. While other stores have laptops and other devices, Micro Center has John S. and other great team members to help you. John was very supportive, never pushy, quick to answer questions and very willing to not search for what we were looking for and provide us options. THAT is INCREDIBLY BENEFICIAL - some times you just need someone to help you get to what you are looking for, to weed through the many options and find just what you need. John S. provides that service for us. Separately from us appreciating the service, at least for our daughter's laptop, Micro Center's prices beat the competition. In addition, their warranty program will replace a broken device; had we had it, the broken hinge would have been covered. So you will likely be most happy and pleased Jen you shop Micro Center and get help from John S., and/or any other of their great team members. Thank you Our daughter is in college and her laptop has been just fine for these past two years... until a couple weeks ago when the hinge broke... at first the touch screen did not work, but then it was fine and the damage was just with the left hinge. Unfortunately the extended warranty did not support a repair - we were quite disappointed

I'll never go to Best Buy again. I took my laptop to the Geek Squad with what I knew was a simple…read moreproblem. I'm a senior citizen and I'm not computer savvy. When I showed the Geek on duty my frozen screen, he said I needed a service plan for $180 or that I could pay $150 for them to diagnose. That's silly I know he could fix my problem with a few keystrokes because I had this happen before and they fixed it in seconds. I left and went to EPIC and the young man there fixed my computer in seconds at no charge. He didn't try to sell me a service plan he just took care of a senior citizen and thanked me for my service. I was wearing my AIR FORCE veteran hat. I returned to Best Buy to talk to a manager about my experience. He said they were a for-profit business and customer service wasn't their primary goal. With that, I left after telling him I wouldn't be returning and that I would be panning them with bad reviews. EPIC gets a 5-star review and BEST BUY gets panned because all they wanted was to take advantage of an old man who doesn't know computers very well. Bottom line DON'T GO TO BEST BUY!!!

1. I purchased a remote car starter/installation appointment on-line in less than 10…read moreminutes....very easy and convenient. 2. I went December 8 to pick up the starter at the customer service desk with the intention to wrap it up to be opened on Christmas as a gift. They brought the item from the service garage to the front but the workers could not figure out how to do whatever they needed to do on their computer to process it. After 30 minutes of waiting(there was no line, just me) I told them I had to leave and I left the item with them. 3. I showed up on January 1st for my scheduled appointment which was scheduled to start at 11 AM and finished at 1:30 PM. I was told by the garage employee that the appointment was on their schedule but that their records showed that the item had been picked up already. I explained to him I tried to pick the item up December 8th but the workers had no idea how to allow me to pick up the item that I paid $275 for.....so at that time I told them I would either get it later or just have it installed without me picking it up. So the garage employee cant figure out how to fix their mess on the computer and he calls another employee(manager I assume) to assist. After 30 minutes I was able to leave and currently I am waiting to get a call that it is finished.....an hour after I was scheduled to have it completed which I am ok with other than being told they weren't sure when they would be finished as there are 4 other jobs for them to do that day. Apparently, appointment reservations are just a possible window and may change at any time. Review- The purchasing process was magnificent, imagine that. But the product pick-up, processing, and installation completion was terrible. Not a good look when something is simple in regards to making payment for a product/service but is so complicated when receiving what was paid for.
