If a place ever merited a QUESTION MARK for a rating it's here. Ask why? Every time I've been here there's some dude in a damn women's wig eating damn fried chicken in the lobby who then moves towards the back and watches everyone get their nails done. I feel like I get overcharged year. I just get a fill for one hand so I can play guitar. Why does that cost $40? Maybe a rule of thumb here it is, don't ask too many questions... read more

I think at one time they may have been the ideal place for nails. Now they are overcrowded and left with bumpy nails filled with air bubbles that started lifting after a week. In full disclosure this is not my go to place, I don't actually even do my nails. It was for a wedding and I was with the bride and bridal party. The nail tech knew it was the bride's nails being done so I was just surprised at the little effort and listening offered. The bride said she felt partially the job was done but overall disappointed with the service. It's possible they already have a loyal client base where the real effort and skill is applied but for newbies and one offs, it's a write off and they'll do it for a quick buck. read more

Oh Thankyou soooo much for that "compliment". I def needed that laugh. A year later you post a comment? Not sure who you think I am, but everything you said is a lie and you don't know who I am at all. 1-you don't sincerely apologize for anything. Your response proves that. 2-I was minding my business. You are just loud AF. There was no music and I wasn't close to the TV so I was forced to listen to the convos around me and, again, you're loud AF so that's all I heard. My tech didn't speak English so we had no convo 3-I have never once asked any tech, at any salon I've been to, their opinion on my color choice. So that's a lie, so is saying I took your opinion-when none was asked for or given. That's a convo that never even happened. You actually made your comment when my nails were already done and getting their final wipe with the cotton-they were done, how can you give your opinion when the color was already picked and applied?? You're lying for zero reason. 4- *I* didn't make anyone uncomfortable, certainly not your client. I didn't say anything the entire time nor did I even look in her direction...she also left before me?!? So again, you're lying...for zero reason. 5-it's been a year from my last review,trust, haven't stepped foot back in and never will. It's 2022-how are you unaware any client at any time could be judging and "criticizing" you or you work. I'm paying for a service, I expect it to be done correctly. That's part of being in your industry is getting judged Funny you never addressed anything else about my reviews ie the dog pooping, my toes being cut, etc. all you care about is being called out for your attitude and lack of professionalism. The third pic is what I wanted (without the stars) and the first is what the tech gave me. I paid 70$ so basically have white paint smeared on my fingers. I think he was annoyed because he did not even try at all to make them look nice. My pinky is just a slash of color. I'm extremely disappointed in what I paid for. He could have said no if he was unable to even try to make a reasonable cloud. I'm really not super picky but this was sort of bizarre. Employees are really rude. Did an ok job on a basic pedicure. Ask and expect for something basic- nothing fancy because they get irritated and inpatient rather than being helpful.... would give 3.5 if I could but not rounding down. Would only return if I was in the area and in a hurry. read more

People clearly love Sassy Nails. The first time I came here it was around 6 PM on a weekday, and it was PACKED. There was barely room to sit, and most of the customers seemed to be regulars. The owners had a good rapport going with everyone. I got a snowflake design done that I had found on Pinterest, and Michelle did a great job. I got tons of compliments and they were so beautiful! A day or two later, the rhinestones ended up falling off, but she was nice enough to fix that for me for free and even gave me a quick gel polish to make them stick! The customer service/friendliness here is the best I've seen at any nail salon, and they're really good at nail art/designs. If you come, try to come more mid-afternoon when it's less crowded (and I would assume mornings are the same) - there's a long wait later in the evening. read more

This place was the worst nail salon I have been to in the 19 years I have been getting my nails done. The owner Brandon was extremely rude and condescending and they refused to own up to their mistakes. Brandon acted like he didn't have a clue what was going on when there was an issue. However, the nice lady who did everything for him was nice enough to fix the messed up paint on my toenails. I've come here twice now and I'm not sure I'll come back. I got a gel pedicure from Nicki and she did great. I got a dip nails by Michelle and it was nothing special. Both times I've come here it's been extremely busy, and my dip nails felt extremely rushed. I was coming in as a girl was having conflict and it seemed that management did nothing to solve her issue. Plenty of workers but seems very rushed to get everyone in and out. read more

I've just had too many problems at this place. It's not a relaxing atmosphere at all. I've had the skin on my toes cut multiple times without it being addressed. Customer service is sub-par. The low-cost choices around here are minimal; I'll pay more for a better experience. read more

I made 3pm appointment with Michelle for a gel full set. It was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon, however I thought that since I made an appointment I should be up next. I was wrong to think that because I didn't get to sit in the chair until 3:40. What is the purpose of making an appointment if I'm not going to get seen during that time? I was a bit annoyed but Michelle was extremely nice. She didn't rush when she did my nails. She shaped my nails just exactly how I wanted them to look. I wanted to give the cat eye nails another attempt. I chose a light pinkish color but it didn't turn out how I had hoped. Michelle ended up removing the color and I picked out a regular light pink gel polish. I loved how it turned out. It's been a while since I last had gel nails and the overall price was very reasonable to me. I think this might be my new go to place depending on how long this full set last. Side note- There is an yelp check in offer available. $3 off on gel full set. I forgot to show this offer but like I mentioned earlier the price was reasonable to begin with. read more

!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!! I called in the day before Valentine's Day thinking maybe they would be booked but, they did not disappoint at all. She answered my questions and was patient with me, She then told me I was welcome to come on in as a walk-in. I got a Pedicure and a New full set of Acrylics. The atmosphere was very welcoming and I didn't feel like I was being rushed. I made sure to ask if They could do a replica of my picture reference on Pinterest and they said yes, although I had my doubts, I put my trust on my nail technician. ENDY was amazing! The process took about an hour and a half but, I'm not complaining. The experience was very relaxing and fun! He took his time with the process and made sure I was happy with the result! I went into the salon on woodland and I have been going for a couple of years. I needed gel removal and told the male tech that I needed aluminum foil and cotton. He was sarcastic and rudely told me he knows what aluminum foil is. I said, " you're kind of a smart ass huh? all jokingly. He then was indifferent and had an attitude. I told the ladies I wanted a different nail tech, he rudely says I don't want to do your nails anyway!! This hit a nerve. I said listen asshole you did my friends nails and made her bleed and on top of that the nails pulled up and broke in two days and they did not replace all her gel nails, now you act like a douche canoe with me! so unprofessional. These employees do not like or care for their customers. Do not enter that store!! read more

Brandon is the best... always perfect alway fast. Favorite nail salon I've found thus far in KC since I moved here last September. So excited for pedicure season... Update on this review: so as I said Brandon is AMAZING but I won't trust ANYONE else with my nails there again I got acrylic set with gel polish LAST FRIDAY they started breaking on MONDAY and I'll show you the picture from today, only seven days later. I can't remember the woman's name... but I'm not happy. My pedicure and eyebrows were ok... but this right here is unacceptable. I would have gone back to get them fixed but haven't had time. I think they have a seven day policy which is understandable, but it was a miracle I had time to go in there the last time now I have to make time again to get them re-done before the week is up??? I was excited to try this cause I've gotta be a great spot when I come in to town but they have a two hour walk and wait and then so I made an appointment for the following day. They kept me waiting for so long I was not able to do both my manicure and pedicure so I had a pedicure done and it was excellent but not keeping an appointment for that long plus they need better air circulation or at least leave the door open because the smell the fumes were just nauseating from doing the gel nails! read more

I did a special pedicure, well worth the extra and a gel manicure -- with her carefully explaining the need for allowing my natural nail/s to grow out/she had to shorten my nails -- but with the gel...they looked very professional and we used a sheer with enough color to cover). She has a wonderful wide array of colors, including very high quality, vegan base coats and polishes. And to top it off, she is a lovely person! THANK YOU XIN! (I will be returning.) Sorry about not having photos...not something I do easily...:)

I've had manicures, pedicures, and gel and dip manicures. All services are high quality. You are not rushed here. It is a relaxing environment. I highly recommend this nail salon. Also she sells hand and nail lotion and nail oil that is amazing!
