They were noticeably "off" immediately after leaving the salon and looked grown out already. However, I have a cruise coming up and couldn't look crazy "down there" when my bathing suit bottoms are rather revealing. So, I had no choice but to suck it up and go. I decided to look on Yelp at all San Antonio locations and saw the other locations (281 and Basse Rd) had not so great reviews so I checked out this location and stumbled upon some reviews for Ashley. Man am I glad I did because let me just tell you, she was phenomenal. The atmosphere was great and initial customer service upon walking into the facility was great. I actually called them before because I got lost trying to find the place and the receptionist took her time and guided me there. I arrived right on time and only waited about 10-15 minutes. Ashley came out and it was time to get started. The room was basic, but clean. I told her it was my first time being waxed in quite a while (this wasn't my first wax but it had been years because I started shaving, terrible choice, lesson learned). Ashley was very patient and gentle. She explained the process and she went. I love that she kept conversation throughout to distract me from the pain and she didn't tell me when she was ripping off the strips, which was a plus for me because I'm a normally anxious person. I received an armpit wax and Brazilian wax and honestly, the pits hurt worse. There were a few times when I screamed during the Brazilian and wanted to punch something but overall it was as good an experience as it gets for this type of service. This was my first time at EWC so I received half off my Brazilian, only paid $25 and $21 for armpits. No half bad! Thank you Ashley for providing impeccable service.
