Hello, I had great service with this store. I ordered a pair of shoes and when it came in and I wanted to return them he said they don't carry that shoe and it was non-refundable. So I took them home and wore them. I called up to complain that I wasn't told ahead of time that they weren't refundable and I would have never ordered them if I was told that. I did eventually get my money back. Got 3 pair and 2 of them didn't fit right with my bunion. I should have gotten double wide. Lesson learned. read more

Ash was very helpful in helping me choose the right shoe for my work environment. Highly recommend both Ash and SAS Shoes at this location. read more

Ash was great, have been here before. He made a nice effort to help with sizing and selection which is Great, lots of styles and colors. These are $$$ but they last and wear very well, my last pair at least 6 years, there are still usable but don't look great. The fit and service are well worth it. read more

Shoes are expensive but worth it. The guy runny the place was amazing. He help my daughter pick out shoes . Fit them. I would recommend this store. Excellent service read more

I parked in a spot reserved for the shoe store. Before I even entered the store, the woman working came out of her store to tell me I cannot park in the spot reserved for her shoe store. I replied that I was coming in to look at shoes and she told me that I still needed to park somewhere else. The store was completely empty and now I can understand why. She's losing business not displaying customer service. read more

I would give 0 stars to this shop if i could. PATHETIC customer service, the man in this shop really brought my 82 yr old mother near tears. She wanted to return an unworn shoe and he was DISGUSTINGLY rude and horrible. STAY AWAY!!! read more

Staff has always been accommodating, friendly, and they measure your feet for the perfect fit. Price is reflected in the quality. You're making an investment toward happy feet when purchasing a pair of shoes here. I'm talking about dropping at the very least $100 for triple pad comfort. My Me Too velcro strap work shoes run $152 and are slip resistant. My job requires lots of standing time so comfort and full foot support is a must. Sure, they aren't the most attractive looking, but they prevent aching feet and last at least two years. Cheap shoes wear and tear quickly so you'll buy a pair more frequently. Where's the savings there? After about a year, order a pair of replacement insoles for $25. They'll give you a call when they arrive in store. Btw, this store has all the basics in various sizes and width options from medium to 3Wide! I recommend the Gilroy outlets location for a larger selection in style. Besides work shoes, they do have lots of sandals. I just bought my dressiest pair of shimmery black sandals that I can wear out. A majority of their options are for casual wear. Sensible shoes with quality. Yah, I was asked how I heard about this store since the younger generation doesn't normally drop by. However, I was willing to try any source of comfort after a week at work. Converse just don't cut it when standing up almost 10 hours a day. Satisfied 5 year SAS customer over here! *Look out for savings annually-- last week they had a promotion for $10 off 1 pair, $15 off each for 2 pairs, and $20 off each for 3+ pairs! read more

Similar to other unhappy customers I experienced an unmatched rudeness from the employees here. I went in with my mom, for her to buy a pair of comfortable shoes, the sales person who introduced herself as Margo followed us everywhere saying do you need help while my mom is trying a pair on. To the point that I had to ask her to give us space, and she continued with her weird behavior. She was constantly smiling at the store camera, knowing this interaction may be reviewed later, I ended up taking pictures o pairs that she liked to order from another store or online. Not sure how the store is still in business with such poor customer service. Would love to talk to Hansen's corp. to let them know about their employee / store manager behavior. read more

Went here once and bought a pair of black comfortable shoes I love! They have an amazing selection of SAS shoes. So comfortable and they were fully stocked in sizes. I wear either 7.5 wide or 8 regular in most styles and as that is very common shoe size many stores seem to be out of the most popular styles. The reason for two stars is the guy that works here is so aggressively rude that I really dread going here but as I've read here in other reviews he seems to treat everyone that way so I will try not to take it personally because I am going back to buy some sneakers and am not looking forward to seeing the rudest salesman on the planet again, but whatever. Reminds me of a particular Seinfeld soup episode! So freaking weird. read more

Best shoes I've ever owned! My feet have been miserable for years and I've spent thousands of dollars from buying shoes that seem to be ok when I tried them at the store, only to hurt my feet a few days later, so I always ended up giving them away. Finding a store near me is a blessing in disguise. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the place was nice and clean as well. The shoes were pricey but definitely worth every penny. The shoes feel like heaven on my feet! read more

Business is well stocked in sizes, has a lot of comfortable shoes for many foot types, if no size can order them, staff is very well knowledgeable in SAS brand and very helpful. Store is clean and neatly organized. I'd recommend to anyone whom can stop by and be fitted. Shoes are all made in America also! Great quality! read more

I was sick of buying cheap "cost effective shoes", so I decided to give this place a chance. My customer service experience here was very superb. Dawn and Michelle were very helpful in ordering the shoes I needed. My feet are in-between sizes, but we were able to find and order the right pair I needed. I have never had shoes as comfortable as the ones I bought from here. I honestly wish I had known about this company when I was a teenager. I went through so many "cost-effective" imported shoes, but they were nowhere near as comfortable as the shoes I bought from here. Give these shoes a chance, you will not be disappointed. (Parking is a nightmare, so you may need to be a bit patient.) read more

I got a coupon for the store and I had to pick something up just around the corner, so I left my car in front of the store because I didn't want to re-park. A high-pitched voice male run after me demanding to remove the car or it will be towed. There were other spots open and there was no need for him to be such a jerk, particularly, because I had a handicap sign. I am not in a wheelchair, but I have a very limited time I can spend on my feet. And guess what? Instead of redeeming the coupon to get 2 pairs of shoes on my lunch break as I planned I dedicated the time writing this review and this place lost a customer for life! If you take time to check negative reviews you will quickly see a pattern -- after the management change customer service went into negative or downright creepy zone. read more

Similar to a post from a few days ago, the man who works here follows you as you are simply trying to shop. I came here with my dad and the worker would not leave us alone. I browsed the clearance section while my dad searched the full priced shoes. The man did not seem to like me browsing through the clearance. He would not leave me alone. I eventually took a pair of clearance shoes for my dad to look at, the man again followed us. And when my dad sat to try them on he took the box of shoes from my dad's hand. Then he put the shoes to the side and offered him another size in the full priced shoes. So weird/rude. I understand the need to make a sale, but some politeness goes a long way. read more

So I ordered shoes from them I got them but they didn't fit right . Before ordering them I specifically asked I wear a 8wide should I order a bigger size they said no! I got them only to send them back the next day well they couldn't find my name so I was stuck with them I tried again to wear them they were still tight I called again they finally found my name the representative was not helpful at all when I called and now I'm having to wait to return them only because it took so long for me to return them their fault!! I won't recommend Sas shoes to anyone they have poor customer service . read more

Pleasant experience. I loved the first pair of SAS flip-flops from 2 years ago and got the exact same pair this trip. A nice lady helped me find sizes and try-on different pairs. I did not encounter the sales guy mentioned in other reviews. Their prices have gone up since my last purchase (2 yrs ago), but these are still the most comfortable shoes I've had. SAS has many many new styles and colors since I last shopped here! Hope the new pair is just as comfortable as my last! read more

Why is there not an option for Zero Stars? I give this place 0 Stars!!!! I stopped by this place earlier to day, just because I was in the area. I was on my way to Cost U Less insurance and had parked right in front of this shoe store. Girls love shoes, Im a girl... Girl + Shoes= LOVE Using the above equation one might assume, I went into the store, to look at the shoes.... If you did this, you are correct! Upon entering the store, I was greeted with the realization that this was a specifically comfort shoe chain catering to the aged or health consensus. Looking through the rows of shoe's I felt eyes, and instantly realized I was guilty of "Shopping While Black"! Seriously, people, is it not enough that the world is a harsh enough place as it is, without the ignorance that thrives within the racist? As if it were not enough for one person to follow me with his eyes, the other had to join in, and watch me, as if I was seriously going to steel some something (and from this store, at that)! I was so disgusted, that I walked out and told the friend I was on the phone with, loud and clear; "I don't shop in places where rude people stare at me". For those of you who think racism is yesterdays news, I'm sad to say your wrong. I wish you were right, though. Humanity can grow, and become educated, and industrialize, but refuses to accept utter equality. read more

All the shoes here are made in the USA. The sales associates are attentive, helpful, and not pushy. They actually measure each foot and spend a lot of time with each customer - I was told that for most people, the left foot is slightly bigger than the right. I've been shopping here for 6 years, and even when the store was very busy, I never saw sales associates rush anyone. They were sold out of a leather sandal in the color I wanted, and ordered it from the factory for me. It arrived in ten days. Recently, I had to do an exchange, and it went smoothly. I wore a pair of their leather flats inside my home and walked around on the carpet for awhile, and found they were not as comfortable as I thought they would be. When I explained this to the sales associate (named C.K.), he found a style that I was much happier with. They also have a selection of leather handbags that match with many of the shoes. The bathroom is clean. The parking lot is small and shared with a few other businesses. I would suggest parking on the street. They are across the street from Cost Plus. read more

Special ordered Sonyo-Bordo shoes for my mom on 10/11. The woman who had taken the order was pleasantly accommodating to my mother needs. They arrived on 10/17 as promised. We went to pickup shoes next day on 10/18. For this alone I would have rated 5 but... We went to store on 10/18 to pickup the shoes. We waited a few minutes for the three salesmen who were busy chatting to acknowledge our existence. Were they drawing straws to see who gets the inconvenience of actually dealing with a customer? One salesman finally came over. I gave him my special order tag. He was quick to find our order (thumbs up) and even quicker to dump the shoes in lap. He then goes back to talking to the other salesman. I don't know if it was a language barrier but when the salesman dumped the shoes in our lap, I specifically said that my mom would like assistance to make sure the shoes fit comfortably before we leave the store. Only until after my mom tried on the shoes did the salesman bother to ask if my mom wanted assistance. I will try to buy from here in the future... Maybe this was a one time occurrence? If future business is acceptable, I have no problem changing my initial review. Thanks. read more

I was here recently to buy a pair of shoes for our family backed in Singapore who is a teacher. SAS shoes are great for teachers or anyone who stand very long hours. I had a great experience this weekend buying my hubby his new shoes. They had his style, color and size immediately available and even let us walk out with the shoes on his feet. They wrapped his old shoes in the box, and put back the cleaning cloth and shoe horn. I will give all my WARNINGS to anyone who is going to buy these shoes. They advertise to be made in Austin and Domestic made but what they don't tell you is the major defect in their product and why they only have 10 day return policy if you ONLY WEAR IT ON A CARPET?? I found out the hard way. I bought these shoes thinking i will have a more comfortable shoes than my New Balance 1540. I was %100 wrong. After wearing these shoes for only 2 weeks, my knees started to hurting and swelling up to a point where i could barely walk. I thought it was my natural wear and tear of my body getting older, but came to think of it, I never ever had a knee problems in my whole life, so i switched back to wearing my good old New Balance 1540 model shoes. Within a week or two my knee pain went away. I called the store and explained the defect of the shoes and how they caused so much pain in my knees. They sales guy told me, sorry we are really hard on our policy and don't take any shoes back if they are worn out side more than 10 days. Ladies and Gentlemen, please be advised that there are other shoe companies out there who will guarantee their comfort for over 2 months and guarantee their product from any defect for over 1 year, such as Nordstrom or Footwear Etc. kid you not I have been buying all my shoes from Nordstrom or Footwear etc which are only a few miles from this stores on the Same street Stevens Creek blvd and they will have a way better return policy and customer service. Here is how i found out that their products are really defective. Tonight i was speaking with a family member of mine about his mothers knees swelling up and not being able to walk. Suddenly it clicked in my mind that maybe she is wearing SAS shoes. I immediately asked what brand shoes his mother was wearing and sure enough he replied with "SAS". So if you or your family or friend who start wearing these shoes, start developing severe knee problems, just remember this review. Now i'm back with Footwear etc which all the foot doctors from kaiser to private practices recommend. I hope this Review will be a good warning about buying shoes from this place. Foot wear etc and Nordstrom have plenty of comfortable models such as New Balance and Samuel Hubbard that are made in USA. read more

Don't let the salesperson fool you. Once you take the shoes out they can't be returned or exchanged. These are also at best medium quality shoes for twice the price. Edit Filed a complaint to hq and was able to get an exchange. Going half a size up made a difference. read more

Unfortunately their sizing makes no sense. I wear a EE width and ordered only the E width. Way too wide. More like EEEE. Customer service says that mine is not the only such complaint. So my advice is looks elsewhere or order way narrow. I am a customer of over 30 years and never experienced such with their "Amigos" which are now discontinued in my size. It cost me to return the order even thought I feel that their product sizing is defective. read more

Great service. I had a pair of work shoes ordered and picked them up. I wasn't 100% sure of wearing a clog style shoe, so he recommended I just walk around in them at home. I like SAS shoes but stopped going to their store due to poor customer service. Recently, I visited the one on Stevens Creek, as my mom and I needed a pair comfortable shoes. I had nothing but outstanding customer service. Michelle spent time measuring our feet and suggested a shoe that met our needs. My mother has knee and back pain and the shoe she suggested is very helpful and comfortable for her to walk around in. Michelle is kind, very professional, responsible and a caring person. This is what we need in every department store. This makes me want to go back again to get another pair for my sister, as she is in the same category as my mother. read more

The SAS store here missed a great opportunity to earn a positive customer review instead of the one I'm sharing for prospective shoppers. Dropped by this SAS store to see what they offer in shoes as well as professional knowledge regarding plantar fasciitis and if there was a pair of sports shoes I might buy there. Was immediately greeted by the employee in the store who kept up his rude demeanor the entire time I was there. No one else was in the store so not a busy time at all. I explained what I was looking for and right off the bat he became a smart aleck rather than attempt to help me. I was pretty shocked as I came in friendly and couldn't understand why he chose to be rude and even confrontational. After more than enough of this rude exchange of him treating me like he wished I hadn't come into the store, I asked if he was the Manager (since I didn't see any other employee there and he was middle-aged...no age offense intended here)? He said "you are." Not sure that I understood him I said, "I am the Manager?" and he said, "yes." He was determined to be rude and insulting to me and almost as though he was trying to get a reaction from me. I remained nice and said my Dr. from Sutter had recommended I go to "Footwear etc." to find shoe brands and other shoe accessories helpful for plantar fasciitis, and she even provided me with a "Footwear etc." paper with their locations, foot conditions, etc., that she said I could show at the store to get help from the sales people there. As soon as I mentioned that, this man decided he'd try to be nice and offer a few suggestions. Too late! I will not go into this store again and caution others they may be subjected to the rude moodiness of this employee, or Manager. I'll go to "Footwear etc." or check out other SAS stores. read more

I'm sad to report that this place is under new management, since I was here last. The new people were nowhere near as friendly and helpful as the previous owners/workers. I had to convince the lady to measure my feet to get an appropriate size. She refused at first and brought me shoes that didn't fit well. After measuring, she realized I needed a wide shoe. $180 later and these shoes tend to leave my ankles in pain, due to the extra lift in them, that I told her I didn't want. I was assured the lift wouldn't bother me, but it does and now it's too late to take them back. Grrrr read more

Bad service! I've been a SAS shoes fan for more than 10 years but my recent experience changed my mind. I purchased a new pair of work shoes 2 weeks ago but found that they are no longer the comfortable shoes I knew and rely on. They actually hurt my feet and my toes begins to spasm after wearing them for a couple of hours. When I brought the shoes back to the store for refund or exchange I was told that I should not have wore them, but if I did not wear them how would I know that they are bad? Bottom line no refund no exchange and no help of any kind. For a pair of ugly $150.00 shoes that's not right. I will not buy SAS again. Thank you. read more

I absolutely love these shoes. I'm an overweight woman who works in retail, and I'm on my feet all day. I can break down or blow out a pair of $90 shoes inside of two months, but I've been averaging nearly two years on a pair of these shoes. (And that's wearing them every day.) And Jasmine (poster below), please just grow up. My bet is that you were the only customer in the store, and were probably more interesting to look at than the thousands of shoes stacked there that they stare at all day. Or, how about the possibility that they thought you were (gasp!) good looking? As I said, I work in retail; a clothing department store, specifically. When I'm working, it's my JOB to keep track of what the customers are doing. Do they need help? What are they looking at, so I can make suggestions? Is there three-year-old with chocolate covered hands getting too close to that stack of white $100 shirts? Unfortunately, you appear to have been taught to see racism where there is none. You see someone looking at you, and you immediately assume that you were "guilty of Shopping While Black". You assumed that they were expecting you to steal something; the possibility that they were simply enjoying the presence of a nice looking lady in the store never entered your mind. Yes, racism is alive and well in this country. Unfortunately, the real racists are those who are accusing everyone else of racism. The sad thing, though, is that they are taught to think this way for political gain. read more

Another customer was there wanting a model number and at least he allowed him to go in and get it. However, the employee went to his own car first and walked back to the store to reopen for the other customer. If I didn't know any better, I would have guessed that the employee wanted to leave early and that's why he closed up since it was slow. Probably not the best idea during the holiday season.
