This place has really gone down hill year by year, for the last 6 years. Most recently, I've never…read morefelt so controlled and annoyed by a few young, clueless peeps. They couldn't answer questions we had about cocktail items. The garnish in my selected cocktail was so big, it could have adorned the front hall of a Barbie dream house at Christmas. We were approached at a point that bordered on harassment by the young, naive waiter--incessantly interrupting our conversation in one of the tiniest, intimate public lounges in NE. Awareness was severely lacking. The bathroom is now unspeakably stinky and dirty, reeking of urine. The tiny hand washing area is tattered and dirty, trash was spilling over the edge of the can. It's fast becoming a shell of its former self. What a sad thing. Perhaps the other room is owned by someone new?

Only one couple was at the bar and my friend and I sat first at the bar to look at cocktail options. I love that all they're cocktails are named after historic people or places. Very cool. The service was terrific! Bartender let us take our time to decide. I ordered a "Willa Cather", which was a cocktail with St Germain,prosecco and hibiscus! So tasty! My friend ordered the "Kate Martin" which was whiskey and ginger. Loved the vibe and will definitely return next time I'm in town!

If that's the standard, I'd be back here based on that, alone. They had a pretty good selection of cigars to choose from (All within various price ranges), and lots of alcohol choices to match. Instead of accepting the apology or simply walking away, the woman responded harshly, telling my sister to "get out of my face." That interaction alone left my sister feeling deeply uncomfortable and targeted. Feeling shaken and outnumbered, she called me and our other sisters for support. When we arrived to understand what had happened, we were calm and simply trying to get the full story. That's when things took a turn for the worse. The woman's boyfriend looked right at one of the workers and said, "get these f***ers out of here." Moments later, an employee named William Wilson grabbed my arm so aggressively that he left a bruise. He physically pushed us out--me, my sisters, and even some of our friends and coworkers who had nothing to do with the incident. Eleven of us were thrown out without anyone asking for our side of the story. Meanwhile, the woman and her group, who were loud, aggressive, and clearly at the center of the confrontation, were allowed to stay. They continued drinking, playing games, and enjoying their night like nothing had happened. It's hard not to see the racial bias in how everything was handled. We were treated like a problem, not like people. We weren't heard, we weren't respected, and we were physically harmed and humiliated just for standing up for our sister and trying to understand what was going on.
