Was visiting NE with a group of people, and wanted to experience what the Lincoln nightlife had to offer. While walking down O Street, a few of us broke off and found this place. This is the first cigar bar I've been to, but I'd like to start by saying the owner (if I remember correctly) made the best Old Fashioned I've ever had in my life. If that's the standard, I'd be back here based on that, alone. They had a pretty good selection of cigars to choose from (All within various price ranges), and lots of alcohol choices to match. A lounge in the true sense of the word. Of course cigars are their thing so when you enter you are greeted by a wooden Cigar store Indian. Although I did not enter the humidor, I could certainly admire the aroma. Maybe one of these days... Seating is nice lots of very comfy, upholstered chairs to sit in. Even the barstools are padded. Lighting is low, almost too dark. TVs with sports programming on, but not too loud. When I went in on a Sunday, it was quiet. The drink menu is not vast, but respectable. They have some interesting takes on classic cocktails. I had an old fashioned, in the traditional style with a maraschino cherry, orange, bitters, and a bourbon of my choice. So I've been to that bar two times The selection of cigars is not huge, but they have a really decent selection to choose from. The drinks they pour are very solid and the prices I thought would be expensive since they're in the Haymarket, but they are not . The one thing that kind of impressed me was, I had a cigar that was unwrapping, and the owner just took that cigar and broke it in pieces and said go get another. I've been a cigar bars for a while and quite frankly usually they just kinda try to help you out a little bit but very seldom do they replace the $20 cigar with another just because that starts to unwrap. Because many people can cause that to happen by their own methodology of smoking them.. I really enjoy the atmosphere. I enjoy the selection of cigars and I really appreciate the ownership and the way they take ownership of what they provide. . If you're looking for a cigar bar and you're near the Haymarket, then there is no better place frankly there's only two cigar bars in Lincoln that I know of and they both are quite good. I like this one better just because they have treated me slightly better, but both cigar bars really do a good job. read more

This might just be the hidden gem of the Haymarket! This cigar bar can be found tucked away by one of the main parking garages in downtown Lincoln. I asked our bartender for suggestions and he wanted us to try the house old-fashioned. It was absolutely one of the BEST cocktails I have ever tried. I wish I knew what their house whiskey was because I would love to add that to my personal collection. Our bartender was also fantastic, since we were the only ones there he whipped out his magic card tricks while we chatted. I was very impressed to say the least! My only complaint was I wish we had time to go back while we were visiting Lincoln. read more

We stopped in on a Saturday night shortly after 11 and found a number of seats open. As far as cigar selection, that isn't really my thing, but my husband thought it was okay. There are some shops in Omaha with more options. As with pretty much all cigar places, unless you are enjoying one yourself, the smell can be overwhelming and the odor was pretty strong in here, but they had several large mitigation systems hanging from the ceiling and I am assuming on nicer days could open up some of their windows. Wonderful humidor (one of the best I've had the pleasure to visit!), and great bartender, Reilly. Great place!! I was in Lincoln on business for two night in February and both nights I went to Cigarz. The bartender was super helpful with my cigar selection. When I saw that they had Warfighter Cigars, being a veteran I immediately gravitated to them. I had smoked them before but the bartender (also a veteran) let me know about the different ones I had not tried. I don't drink but I sat there and smoked two cigars both nights and drank ginger beers and chatted with him and a few other local guys. Really great vibe and enjoyable experience. read more

We were here the weekend of the University graduation, for my nephew's wedding. Typical Nebraska weather, cold, snowy and icy. So my brother-in-law and I were trying to find someplace to burn a stick and have a drink. Fortunately this place was only a couple blocks walking distance from our hotel. Nice clean quaint space that is very well ventilated.Pretty cool decor. Lots of different board games to pass the time. Well stocked walk-in humidor, we had our own cigars already and they were okay with that. Good selection of drinks. And as some have mentioned, the bartender was great. Had a good conversation or 2 about cigars etc. Always good to get other's opinions on things such as that. If I still lived in Nebraska, every time I made it to the Haymarket area I would try to stop here. I would probably just go there to have a good stick and some good conversation. ENJOY! read more

Cigarz has unfortunately been going through some changes. I've been to Cigarz several times over the last 2 years and it's been tending down steadily. The location is great but the entrance is off the beaten path in an alleyway. When you enter the vibe is nice and somewhat upscale without being snotty. The seating is comfortable but very limited so you might want to show up during slow hours. The smoke selection is ok for a lounge but the drink selection needs to be expanded. The biggest folly comes with the people. The owners have been known to show up drunk and belligerent to the patrons and the employees. My favorite employees have since left for greener pastures. I was seriously turned off by this. Overall I don't think I'll be returning to Cigarz. Luckily I live in Omaha so I have plenty of other options! read more

Cigar selection seemed low but guessing they are working on that illusion eppernay is my request :-) I will no doubt be back to this place every time I am in town. Great atmosphere and service. Selection of cigars is growing. Plenty of T.V.s to watch the game. If you want something different to watch, they will happily change the channel. Same with the music.
