Teriyaki chicken with noodle
Philip C.

This restaurant is located in First Colony Mall's food court. However, you can find this at any of the malls in Texas. I don't know how they make the Teriyaki chicken but it's one of my favorite place to eat at. It comes with a choice of regular rice, fried rice, or noodles, with veggies. I believe that you can add extra meat for a price of $1.69, which is a steal! I just simply love the chicken that they make. Although, at times when there's not a lot of customers, the food would be sitting out for a while, and so I don't think it's a good idea to eat here if you see that they aren't busy and the food has been sitting out. You might get a stomachache. So, you should get it when there's a lot of customers waiting in line! On a side note, I wish that they can improve on their vegetables. TLDR: Overall, I love the teriyaki sauce, it's amazing!

Yelpers reported that it was close however when I got here it was open and I was able to order food from here so it's not closed, I love it nice and juicy I will say that the prices have gone up I got this for nine dollars with no drink or anything extra. I was craving this though cause I haven't had it in a long time it's been a while since I've eaten food at a mall. I love that they cook it in front of you while the chicken. The vegetables taste fresh so I'm a happy camper all around!

A maggot in my food!

My daughter ate here today and found a maggot in her food. When she took her plate up to show them, they laughed at her and said it wasn't a big deal because it was small. They asked if she wanted more food or her money back. She obviously got her money back. They also won't answer their phone.

I was supposed to go to other restaurant. I happened to find here. another restaurant. I couldn't resist it. I got a teriyaki chicken. It was awesome. I was born in Japan. I still don't understand they call the dishes " Japanese". I would say this is American-Chinese food. LOL.

The workers of this restaurant are kind and funny people. The cashier and cooks know what they are doing I should know I've been going there for about a year and a half and the food is really damn good when it comes out fresh. There are slight hiccups like them not really hearing you but it ain't that bad as some say. It's not the end of the world you shmucks. They know me really well.

I have always loved this place. Today I drove to the mall just for this place. I went home and started to eat and I looked and there was a dead beetle! Yes a bug!!! I called the number on the receipt and nothing. I called First Colony Malls main number and nothing!

He's been telling me about this place for a while, so I came in already expecting great sushi, and it definitely delivered. First off, they have all-day happy hour, which is always a win. We started with the yellowtail sashimi, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful such a great way to kick things off. For drinks, he ordered a Legend Old Fashioned, and I went with the lychee martini... and yes, I had two because it was that good light, slightly sweet, and super refreshing. For our rolls, I got the Hot Momma roll and he had the Julie Crunch roll. Everything came out perfectly fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they put care into both the quality and the experience. Also, shoutout to Emilio he was so sweet and attentive throughout the night and really made the experience even better. Between the food, drinks, and the overall vibe, this place checked all the boxes. I can 100% see this becoming one of our regular date night spots going forward. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for great sushi and a relaxed atmosphere!

New favorite AYCE sushi place!…read more We heard about this place through social media and wanted to give it a try. Loved the ambiance, decor and music. We were seated right away and service was FAST. Our server was amazing and she took the time to explain certain dishes and gave some great recommendations. Loved the vast options. We did come at 4pm on a weekday though, so I'm not sure if the service is as fast when it's busy. After tip, it was about $50 per person. Baked lobster tail with cheese: nice little treat Spicy salmon hand roll: pretty standard Tempura phili roll: liked the flavour a lot Fat boy roll: the fried outside was too much Salmon sashimi: soooo good. We ordered like 60 pieces Toro nigiri: AMAZING. I loved this one Seared Kobe beef nigiri: tasted like the burnt flakes on a grill to me Red bean ice cream: liked it and how small it was Coffee cake: such a good taste that I got two

The decor wasn't special, more simple but appropriate. The service was the only sore spot. Initially our server was attentive, but he dropped off as the meal progressed. The food itself was very good. The fish was high quality and the presentation was excellent. I would like my rice a bit more seasoned, but in most cases it wasn't noticeable. Most slim menu of the other all you can eat sushi restaurants that I've had. It doesn't leave much if you are really trying to stay there for a couple of hours and indulge. They do have quite the array of sushi offerings but not the other options like I'm used to with the other all you can eat restaurants. The food was decent I would say my favorite was any of any of the salmon dishes that I had. Just absolutely melt in your mouth scrumptious. Yum. But, sadly nothing else really stuck out. I'm a sucker for a good seaweed salad but the seaweed salad was entirely too salty. Which, I've never experienced before. All the other options are pretty mediocre and this place doesn't offer the social media discount either, so for me not jumping up and down with amazing flavors in my mouth made me feel like it wasn't worth the price point. I don't know. I'm not saying I would NEEEVER come back again but it's definitely not going to be a place where if I want all you can eat sushi I will think of it first. The place is actually pretty inside. And they even offer you kimonos to wear for pictures or social media or even to wear as you're enjoying your dinner. I thought that was cute. I actually would never wear one just because, you know, germs and all but.. still cute. Lol. They kept the buffet seats clean which I definitely appreciate. The servers were kind and I would say overall I had a really pleasant experience human to human, but human to food... Let's just say. We're breaking up...it's not me... it's you. LOL

I always order the Sushi Combo B because it has a bit of everything I like--generous, fresh, well formed nigiri, spider roll (my favorite), california roll, and miso soup. The chef's choice nigiri always seems to have salmon, tuna, and yellowtail but the other four pieces rotate and vary slightly. When we arrived it wasn't busy, but then again it was 6pm on a Monday. The restaurant itself is kept quite clean and it's a tad quiet with no music playing. I'm a regular here and I don't plan on frequenting any other sushi restaurant until I find something that can offer the same quality and quantity at a similar or better price.

It was good, flavorful, and had a nice spice level but it wasn't wowing. My boyfriend and I shared the General Tso's chicken, and that was a 10 out of 10. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. It came with white rice and everything paired really well together. This is the second place I've gone to that has great General Tso's chicken, and that is definitely a compliment. I would absolutely order it again. We also tried the "Honey moon" appetizer which is a stuffed jalapeño. It had crab and cream cheese with eel sauce. The jalapeño was too crunchy for me, my preference is to have it softer but I feel like the flavor wasn't really there. One of the standout appetizers was the beef tongue from the appetizer menu. That was a 10 out of 10. It came with a sauce on top that was really good and brought everything together perfectly. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer as well. The shrimp itself was decent, but the fried coating tasted like the oil wasn't very fresh. It was crunchy, but the flavor of the oil came through, so I'd rate that about a 5 out of 10. We also ordered fried calamari . I'd rate that around a 6 out of 10. It was okay, but when you bit into it, the octopus would slide out and leave you mostly with the fried outer crust, and the crust itself wasn't that flavorful. The ambiance was beautiful, very clean, modern, and nicely designed. It felt comfortable and well put together. Service was fine, nothing that stands out.

I walk in with a group of 5, ask for a gluten free menu, and the hostess happily got the menu and brought it with us to the table. Our server brought me GF soy sauce and told me he would make sure my food was safe even though it was on the GF menu. I got the calamari and Sugar Land sampler, and it was all great. The fish was fresh, the restaurant didn't have a concerning fishy smell, it was clean and nicely decorated with plenty of space for patrons so we weren't on top of each other. One of my guests ordered the wrong roll, and he was very patient and kind, and he talked through the different rolls to make sure the one she wanted was exactly what she was looking for. He made suggestions and took his time, and he treated her with respect and care. I was truly impressed! One could say that GF options are minimal, but for me, this menu had a little bit of everything for gluten allergies, and my server made me feel very safe eating there with my allergy. I will enthusiastically go back to Japaneiro any day, especially with this level of service!
