Pasta Alla Vodka

Pretty much an overpriced Olive Garden. The bread sticks are unlimited, but very floppy- little to no flavoring. The salad given to us- house salad- was good! The portion of the salad was very minimal but not unlimited. I accidentally gave our server a hard time. He had a very thick accident. It was not his fault, for it was all mine. He was a good sport about it. The food price range is kinda up there. Almost $25 for every plate- everything on the kids menu is $10. My girlfriend and I arrived 15 minutes before our reservation, and we were sat immediately.

We came with a party of 10 for dinner. The wait wasn't too long considering our group size. The lack of being able to split the checks among the three families was disappointing as we did this at other restaurants during our stay. On to the food, French onion soup was lacking in flavor unfortunately and everyone who ordered it agreed. Also one guest ordered bruschetta as her main meal and when she received it there was a hair across one piece. She then lost her appetite. The rest of the diners licked their meals and my veal parmesan was tasty and I would order it again.

Side house salad (complimentary with entrees)

Located around the corner from the main wilderness resort, this is a convenient location. They actually have a shuttle from the Wilderness but it was only a 3 min walk from the resort. The ambience is nice, beautiful murals on the walls and easy listening Italian music playing. The menu is pretty big and there are lots of options. The entrees come with a side salad, which is nice, although the ranch dressing was a bit off; it was very thick and tasted like mayonnaise. I ordered the short rib pappardelle; the flavor was good and the short rib was tender. However this wasn't pappardelle, more like lasagna noodles, although they did taste homemade. I also didn't like that the short rib had tons of frizzle on it and glob of ricotta was not necessary.

Looking for tasty Italian food in the Wisconsin Dells area?? Look no further than Sarento's! This Italian restaurant serves spectacular plates with fresh ingredients and homemade noodles. To start the meal, the table is served warm breadsticks with olive oil, Parmesan, and cracked pepper. We ordered a variety of items. Table highlights include: the roasted chicken entree with potatoes & broccolini, the pasta bolognese, and the homemade stacked lasagna. Other entrees ordered include a chicken Alfredo dish, pasta with meatballs, and a pasta with vodka sauce. Each entree started with a fresh side salad as well. The entire meal was delicious and the service was great. Sarento's is an ideal spot for a date night or nice meal with family/friends. I'd highly recommend visiting Sarento's in the Wisconsin Dells!

Staying at the Wilderness with friends and we wanted a pizza night. Called in our order. The food arrived quickly (30 minutes), was hot and tasted fresh. We had the caprese salad, Italian chop salad, veggie thin crust pizza, tiramisu, and cannoli. I really liked everything except my tiramisu. It was gritty. I can't speak to the ambiance since we did delivery, but I would definitely return in the future to try other entrees! I also really appreciated the free breadsticks they included along with paper plates/napkins/forks.

My Alfredo with papardelle

I'm surprised by the lower reviews of Sarento's and glad I still went anyway! Last weekend, my husband and I decided to give it a go! The warm breadsticks with Parmesan and olive oil to dip were delicious! I loved that they had a generous portion of freshly grated Parmesan at the table as well. We each opted to upgrade to a different salad. My husband's Caesar was good and had lots of parm and a crunchy Parmesan chip. My caprese when burrata was incredible! Next, my husband tried the bolognese with pappardelle. He loved it. I opted to go with Alfredo but they happily allowed me to get pappardelle too. It was so good! My husband said it may have even been better than his! Finally, for dinner, we split a tiramisu. I'm not usually a fan but it was light and flavorful and we agreed we should have brought one to go! Service was good and it had nice Italian ambiance! Can't wait to visit again! Tip: there was a coupon for 10% off in one of those booklets at our hotel lobby so that was a nice little saving!

Kids Spaghetti & Meatball

My family enjoys eating here. It's very much like an independent Olive Garden and it's not the cheapest nor the most expensive place in the Dells, But the pizza is good -- the toppings are fresh and plentiful. It was Friday my wife enjoyed the fish fry and the option of a baked potato. My youngest did not enjoy her spaghetti and meatball, but she's a very picky eater. The broccolini was not to my eldest liking, but she was expecting roasted broccoli, and this was not bad, but not what she was expecting. Avoid the tiramisu it's not great. Instead get the Italian cream cake -- holy cow that was amazing. Service is how to put this good depending on the night you're there. It's all I'm guessing Brazilians flown in like most of the Dells these days who will give you an English name that clearly it's not their actual name but it's the Dells what are you gonna do ? We didn't try any drinks. Water was fine for us and our waters were always full. The breadsticks were good and refilled on demand. Ambience is Italian restaurant with kind of cheesy paintings on the walls of Italian vistas and courtyards and all that. it's definitely a nicer sit down style restaurant but because it's the Dells, there are people in sweatpants in the winter and barely covered up swimsuits when it's summer. Our party of 5 had a nice dinner for about $100 plus tip -- including two desserts.

Let me start this off by saying I brought my 2 year old on a Wednesday night during the slow season. The atmosphere was nice and we sat by a fire place. We had no reservation and we got a table in a few minutes, around 7. Our food was excellent. My kids' pizza was great, she ate so much of it which is unlike her. My braised beef papardelle was amazing paired with a nice red. The prices were great, although I am used to Chicago a suburb pricing. Our server was patient and very accommodating to my toddler, and she had great recommendations. All in all this was an amazing experience and I highly recommend coming here. Whoever said this is like an Olive Garden wasn't entirely accurate.

First visit, it was nice. Enjoyed a Brandy Old Fashioned at the bar along with Garlic Cheese Bread and a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. All the servers at the bar were courteous and attentive. Enjoyed our 1st visit to Sarento's

For my cocktail, I got a classic bourbon Manhattan served up. It was pitch perfect. For my dinner, I got the scallops where were saucy and seared to absolute perfection (not something everyone gets right--they do). For dessert, my dining companion and I shared a slice of their peanut butter cream pie, which was, of course--a delight. Chocolate crust meets rich peanut buttery cream pie with chocolate sauce and chopped peanuts on top. Truly, what's not to love? Our server was kind and attentive throughout. Get to it!

The shits out of the horse and you can't put it back in, no matter how hard you try. The feeling of the original Del Bar is gone. Along with all of the familiar long time faces we've recognized. Especially the bartender we befriended who created the Del bars espresso martini as it is now. Congrats Del Bar. You're not special any longer. Just another Chicago steakhouse or another dells attraction. The charm is gone.

Towards the end the server informed the manager and all the managers said was oh I'm new here I've only been here 2 weeks but I'm trying to change everything and that's it. Ishnala Supper Club, what a wild place…read more We left home at 4:00 PM, ate at 9:30 PM, and got home at 11:15. Yes, you read that correctly. We spent roughly 3 1/2-4 hours waiting -- and somehow, by the end of the night, it had become the accepted experience. We literally drank our way through all four bars while we waited. By the time we finally sat down, we had fully committed to that adventure. And honestly? Ishnala IS beautiful. The architecture and ambiance inside are genuinely spectacular. It has an old-school, tucked-away Wisconsin supper club magic that feels like an experience rather than just dinner. I've lived in the Manhattan and the Palm Beaches and I have waited for some pretty exceptional meals - but I have never waited 3-4 hours for dinner in my life. Would I say the food is on the level of the creative, innovative, technically impressive food I've had in those places? Absolutely not. There is no creativity, ingenuity, exotic ingredients, or culinary precision you might find at a high-end restaurant in the city. But here's the thing: every single bite was actually delicious. We had a surf-and-turf meal, and everything was genuinely satisfying. Nothing felt like a letdown after the wait. It was classic, rich, well-executed food in an absolutely gorgeous setting. So is Ishnala worth driving hours and waiting four hours for? I'm not sure I could answer that for everyone. But was it a funny, completely ridiculous, memorable Wisconsin experience that we'll be talking about for years? 100%. And honestly, sometimes that's what a great night out is about. Next time? I'd bring games. Pro tip- talk to the other people waiting and laugh about the ridiculousness of it all.

Our server, Csenge, was a superstar! So friendly, kind, and knowledgeable, in addition to appearing at just the right times to check in. For entrees we had the prime rib with lobster and asparagus, as well as horseradish encrusted new york strip with sweet potato bake. I highly enjoyed my prime rib and lobster, they were both delicious and a true treat. My husband had steak in front of him one minute and it seemed the next time I glanced over, it was gone. One thing he savored was the sweet potato bake; we've never seen that on a supper club menu to date and he insisted I try it as he loved it that much. As we were finishing our meal, the owner came over to our table to check in and inquire as to how we enjoyed the experience as well as our food. That's a very rare touch in today's day & age. When we were heading to our vehicle after dinner, my hubby said tonight's date night was one he'd always remember.

However, the server told me the steak tips did not come with any sides and that the menu was incorrect. She even said she has to explain this to customers frequently. If management knows the menu is wrong, it should have been corrected by now. We were also given a complimentary starter consisting of a few Keebler Club crackers, cheese curds and small containers of what appeared to be coleslaw and possibly butter or cheese spread. I tried one of the cheese curds, and it was moldy. When I told our server, she simply said, "Oh." There was no apology, and she only removed the cheese curds rather than the entire plate. She brought more curds, but after finding mold on the first serving, I certainly wasn't comfortable eating them. We asked whether the salmon was fresh or frozen and were told it was frozen, despite being priced at approximately $23. Another person in our party ordered the French dip, and the server asked whether they wanted it as a French dip or a Philly. Getting a clear explanation of the difference took far more effort than it should have; eventually, we were told the Philly simply included onions and peppers. Between the inaccurate menu, moldy food and the server's dismissive response, we no longer felt comfortable eating there. We got up and left and went to the Chinese restaurant next door instead, which turned out to be the better choice for the evening. The Broken Spur presents itself as a higher-end steak and seafood restaurant, but our experience did not come close to meeting that standard. Management needs to correct the menu, improve food-quality controls and provide its staff with better training in menu knowledge and customer service.
