Sadly Sarasota Square Mall is being demolished. The only stores that remain intact and open are Costco and JC Penny.

We wanted to go a mall and walk to burn off some calories. It was so sad to see so many store vacancies. It is after all 7pm on a Monday but nevertheless still sad to see emptiness. Then we saw a sign of AMC and decided on a whim to catch a movie . Definitely worth coming here to go to JC Penny's, AMC movie theatre and Costco and all other favorites store. read more

This mall is an oven. Either the A/C doesn't work or management has set the thermostat to 85. Been coming here since I was a kid to beat the summer heat but this is the last time Update: after I posed this review and headed out to my car I found live cockroaches near the kids play area, so they're obviously not doing anything to keep the place clean or bug free either. read more

Nice little mall, for kids there is a train that you can ride throughout the mall. This mall is filled with some good stores like Macy's, Rack Room Shoes, Starbucks, Costco, AMC Movie Theater. I think it's actually called the Westfield Sarasota Mall read more

I cannot believe that there are not more reviews of this mall! I guess it might be because we lived next to a tinier mall for the past three years in Cville, VA, but I really like the size of this one - and HELLO, Costco! Awesome!! Typical indoor mall. Sadly, many closed storefronts inside, and outside were a fair amount of people that seem down on their luck hanging around. Variety of stores. Offers a small toddler play area and a carousel. Plenty of parking. read more

I love Sarasota square Mall. It's always very clean and I've never had a negative experience here. There is more than enough parking on property, if by some happening, parking is full, there is a staples right next door to the mall for spillover. If you are visiting Sarasota and want to go to Sarasota Square, you can easily pick out a local or even sound less of a tourist by saying "Sarasota Square Mall," and not "Westfield Mall." read more

Use to be a nice mall. It's trashed up with carnival rides and motorized stuffed animals to ride around the mall on. That stuff brigs trash into the mall. Need to keep it classy... So disappointed. I will only be going to Costco from now on and not be venturing into the mall. read more

Sarasota Square Mall is your typical Westfield Mall that holds your basic stores. It's not your high-end mall, but then again this area would not be able to support it. Never seen a Costco connected to a mall before; has an awkward entrance. The movie theater entrance is also inconvenient as it is not close to any parking that does not compete with main mall users. The bright side, it forces overweight people to actually walk if they want to sit their overweight butts in movie seats for 2 hours. read more

This mall is turning into a ghost town. All the stores are going out of business. The food court doesn't have much to offer. They used to have a cute train for the kids but that's gone. Kind of sad, and the Macy's there is awful. Sad read more

Great mall now! Redone about 5 years ago and it's been really nice inside ever since. Redoing it attracted new stores and eateries and I feel like it's always different when I go inside because there will be more new stores. read more

Decent mall in the Westfield lineup, trending heavily towards affluent teens & young adults, with stores like Yankee Candle, Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, Macy's, Rocket Fizz, Kay Jewelers, Victoria's Secret, Joseph A Banks, H & M, etc. Well developed food court, 12 theater AMC, CostCo, Penneys, Sears, Ruby Tuesdays, Several sporting goods stores, additional Jewelers, Starbucks, and more. One of the largest remaining indoor malls in Sarasota other than UTC up on University, this serves the south Sarasota, Palmer Ranch, Osprey/Nokomis area well. read more

This mall was great until UTC opened. It's not filled with nic nac stores and off brands. All of the quality stores moved up to the newer mall. They really have let this place go! The only thing that is holding it together is Costco! read more

Not really happy with this mall. Saw two baby roaches in the bathroom. The mall is practically dead every day. It was awkward finding the entrance due to the Costco attached to the mall... Therefore making parking impossible ! read more

One of my favorite malls. Great stores, nice for walking and having fun.

Went here looking for Old Navy, a good food court and a family vibe. We were pleasantly surprised! We have lived all over the country and have never seen a more family friendly mall! The family bathroom has three well appointed nursing stations, a play area with developmental toys and several changing stations. They even have a separate bathroom inside it with kid size toilets! Nice staff in every store including Claire's, Old Navy, The Children's Place, the food court (a little pushy on the upsell but excellent Stromboli for a great price!). I asked employees for help (some multiple times) and wow they were all very happy to help. Clearly, with the new mall several miles north, they are playing to the family demographic and by our standards, they're succeeding! I loved the look of the beautiful high end carousel in the food court and the new rental strollers look like fire trucks and have tablets on both tiers for the little ones! A+ read more

The management of the Square mall let anyone have a kiosk and sell garbage to us, the customers who buy there and support you. I have to inform about a kiosk in front of The Children Place that is selling the squeeze things that all our kids want for christmas. That things are garbage, we bought one yesterday for my dausghter and today just fall apart, I ask for an exchange or refund of my money for the product, and the owner had the shameless to tell me that he would be generous and I will have to pay $5 to exchange the thing, but he will not refund my money because the product that he sold yesterday was in good shape, and if the next day it tear apart, was not his problem. So can we talk about the quality of the product? When an 8 years old girl squeeze it for one day was the top time live of the product? Is what they sell to us? And they dont have to take any responsability for what they sell? Shameless. read more

This mall used to be a great hangout spot with my friends. It still is from time to time, but as of lately, I feel it is very empty. I'm hoping they get those new stores in soon and even some remodeling would be nice. The food court in particular, they should get rid of the carousel and those stupid rides. There are things that I like about the mall though, I'm just saying some work should be put into it to bring back life. Something that actually really upset me recently was the nail salon by Costco. This one employee, male, in particular was VERY rude to me and I will not go back into there ever again and I hope they go out of business. read more

Gator Alert ! I like this mall....it is quaint, clean, and no huge crowds to deal with. I was last there on 6/15/16 and was excited to see a 4' long gator cruising thru their pond ! I know, it's Florida and gators are not uncommon to see, but I did not expect to see one there. So be sure to keep your little ones and pets away from the pond. read more
