Having lived in Bradenton, Tervis Tumbler has always been our go to glassware for outside and the pool. Their guarantee was always excellent, and their store in Osprey a fun visit. While visiting Bradenton we ventured to Osprey with three glasses that were no longer useable. The dark haired woman who waited on us was less than pleasant or helpful. Her demeanor was indifferent the entire time we were there. She said we could only get clear glass unless we mailed the damaged ones in to the store. Then advised she only had the tumbler in clear, not the two mugs. I found a mug hidden in the back of the shelf and she gruffed and said I would need to mail the third in to get it replaced. Why would you not offer a chance to pay an upgrade for something else rather than make me drive the hour back to Bradenton and still have the issue not resolved? I get their change in practice, but can't the salespeople at least be cordial? From all the other reviews, I think that this type of attitude towards customers must be their new business model. I think I will just let my Tervis collection of glassware retire with grace and spend money elsewhere...it's not worth the hassle. Hoping you have a better experience! read more

Before I knew two new lids were mailed to me. They keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. You can get them with your favorite teams logo. There's something for every age and in many sizes too. I just want to acknowledge this company that's been in business since 1946. When I like something I want everyone to know. Tervis Tumbler has engaged in campaigns to help reduce the use of disposable plastics. On September 27, 2018, the company gave away 10,000 reusable tumblers to customers who pledged to stop using disposable cups. I've owned and recommended Tervis for years because of their lifetime warranty and dishwasher-safe claim. Unfortunately, my experience this time was very disappointing. One of my tumblers warped in the dishwasher. When I called customer service, I was told that as of November 17, Tervis no longer covers tumblers that warp or melt in the dishwasher. I explained that the damage occurred before that date, but they still refused to help or honor the warranty. There was no offer of replacement, credit, or goodwill, just a hard no. This is, by far, THE WORST customer 'service' I've ever received from anything I've bought online or elsewhere! I ordered items as a gift which were supposedly delivered to the intended recipient. But they never arrived. When I asked the apartment manager about the delivery effort, I was told that the buildings have had issues with items NOT being delivered, with photos taken of the supposed delivery being unreadable, and the packages vanishing. That was exactly my situation. I contacted customer support on 4 separate occasions, providing details of the situation. Each time, I was sent an automated response telling me that I'd be contacted in 5 business days. The next contact from the company, averaging about 7 days later would again ask for details. I'd provide the same information. This game went on for nearly a month. Then I got a message from them telling me they're not responsible for items 'once delivered'. Well, the items were NOT delivered! And if that was the answer all along, why did it take weeks if this nonsense to tell me that? The bottom line is that you might as well just flush your money down the toilet when you buy from this company! THEY pick the delivery service, not me! But somehow, I get to eat the cost of it AND spend a month chasing poor customer service to get an unsatisfactory answer. I also sent back a metal tumbler that had the design peeling off in less than a month of purchase. I have been a loyal customer for several years. I placed an order including custom tumblers on their website during their Black Friday sale on 12/2, and the estimated shipping date was 12/19-12/20. I still have not received a tracking number on 12/23, and the business is now closed until January. I chatted with their customer service, where each individual chat took at least 6 minutes to respond to (35 minutes total with no resolution). I expressed my disappointment for not receiving my order by Christmas. The only positive action they took was to upgrade my shipping at no cost, but this is a useless gesture without shipping my order. Their only other response was telling me to print a picture of the tumblers for Christmas gift recipients. Why have a Black Friday sale without the ability to fulfill orders? Please don't believe their warranty. I followed all the instructions and sent a 24oz sport team tumbler back. After 3 months I received the tumbler back. It was a plain tumbler with no sport logo. Wow, this place is incredible. They supposedly have a lifetime warranty on their products and they have exact warranty return instructions on their website but even after following their protocols for warranty replacement after over two months I have heard nothing. Over eleven days ago I reached out to customer disservice through email requesting the ETA of my warranty items. I immediately received an automatic reply stating that it could take 7-10 business days to get a reply, well eleven business days later no reply. So today I tried calling Customer Disservice after listening to the automated attendant and selecting #1 for Customer Disservice I received a recording saying they only respond to Customer Disservice through email and was immediately disconnected. Did you know you can exchange your old stained or damaged Tervis for new ones? You can! You could send them to the factory, or you can visit the outlet store. We chose to visit the outlet store because it allowed us to have dinner at one of our favorite places too. We live about an hour and a half away so we don't make it down to Sarasota a lot. Yes, we made a day of going to the Tervis store and dinner. When you arrive, you take your old tumblers to the back, they tally up how much you credit you have and then you pick out your replacements. You cannot use the credit on the metal tumblers or sale items or the new beer mugs but you can use it on everything else. The back room is pretty much dedicated to sports teams, which is amazing! They have every team, I swear. The main room has all of their other designs and the another room has discounted discontinued designs. It is great that the company stands by their product so I would recommend checking them out if you are in the area. read more

The "lab" is a depressing, windowless room with folding tables where you can supposedly customize your own cup .... We purchased from the Venice Florida coffee cup item number 1312237. It was quite expensive, but it proved flawed. Coffee leaks from the top of the cup we received, and on the third try it stained my sweater. In addition, it is designed such that it leaves a mark on your nose when you drink from it. It has a lifetime warranty, and we returned it, requesting a refund. Customer service then informed us that it had used. Of course it was used. We had told them that. How else would we have seen the problem with the cup? And they said it was dented. It definitely did not come from us dented. It cost over $10 to return, at our own expense. The prices and selection is what is key. We've found items in the clearance area but there are normally sales in the full price area too and the selection is what I'm there for. I bought some tumblers from Bed, Bath and Beyond on Black Friday and sadly they bubbled in my dishwasher. I started using Tervis in the 1980's, back then, they were perfect, but about ten years ago, Tervis must have decided to change the plastic they use, they didn't stay clear for long, they became cloudy from normal use. Today, they still turn cloudy after a while, but Tervis no longer honors their warranty with immediate replacements. I recently took a three of the cloudy ones back to the local Tervis store, they said that would have to ship them back to the factory for repair, this was two months ago, they just called this week to pick them up. I don't know if I will, as I still have a bunch of the old ones which I like a lot. I do know that the name Tervis, doesn't mean what it used to. I miss them. read more
